Water feeder/pump not working, tech came while I was at work so repair not witnessed, initial charge about $200, over phone said additional repair, now over $500, over phone tech recommended additional service for now over $900! If I agreed, then "you will not have any problems for long time", then said if I didnt chose to do it and I have a problem, then id get charged another over $200 service call. No one witnessed repairs, short time later hundreds of dollars of ruined clothes due to rust, new appliances stained, almost $200 in products to remove rust, water orange, pets sick, was going to file house insurance claim but didnt cuz was told I wouldnt be charged for tech to come back. Was a covid nurse and kept getting called into work so had to cancel appointments. Then was spoken to in condescending way by owner saying "like a car, your system needs maintenance" after I just paid almost $1000 just weeks before. Tech came out and found handle set in wrong way (I hadnt touched it) frist got an email bill and wasnt charged. Then started getting bills for almost $300, emails, constant phone calls, late fees. My house insurance would have covered the damage done by culligan, shortly after supposed repair my plumber stated he couldnt see what/if any work was done. Dont mind paying for repairs that are needed, but after being talked into paying over $900 and being told I would not have any problems for long time, if im calling weeks later to report problem not fixed, would expect that w almost $1000 of supposed work I should have a perfect system for more than a few weeks. And being told I wouldnt be charged again. Had to block culligan from my phone due to the amount of harassing phone calls I was getting. I was not home when they came into my house so no one witnessed what tech actually did, based on amount of $ I paid to fix damage, based on my experience w my system for about 25 years, seems like nothing was fixed. My insurance co would have paid out thousands to replace damaged clothes and appliances. I didnt pursue cuz I was told I wouldnt be charged, and now being harassed and ready to get an attorney. Then to be spoken to again in a condesceding way saying it was my fault cuz I had cancelled appointments... I was staffing a covid unit at the time. Will never use their company again based on what they did to a long time customer. Should pursue harassment/fraud charges and even reimbursement of $900+ charge, and now charging me monthly late fee for over a year plus charge for call
Desired outcome: should have disputed the almost $1000 charge w my credit card co, and filed insurance claim. will go to headquarters/corporate office w this. Unacceptable to be scammed into paying what i did/and now constant bills
