Davison Design & Development review: Company name (private)

I want to start off by saying I'm sorry for anyone that has already lost money. This company is a complete scam. The only products actually released under their umbrella are junk products that you normally find in clearance sections. Their goal is to sell you and keep upselling you until you have nothing left. Think Wolf of Wall Street with another industry.

I personally did the patent search for around $695. The information they sent me was extremely basic and mostly filled with copy/pasted competitor descriptions. However, this amount is not outrageous for a patent search. After that is completely, they will email/call you constantly trying to sell you on pre-production. If you miss a call, you will get some dumb email from an inventor of a junk product nobody cares about. I only feel bad that I'm sure that inventor spent thousands and thousands more than he should have for the development work.

Now at this point, I pulled out. As you always should if you don't want consequences in the future (insert winking face emoji). If your instinct it that it doesn't feel right, congrats, you already have a skill most inventors lack. Also if you are new, look up sales funnels. They are using bottom barrel techniques to appeal to inventors desperate to launch their inventions.

Just in case they reply to this complaint saying that I'm not educated on business, I want to lay out my credentials. I have 3 degrees ranging from a bachelors to PhD. My bachelors is in business. I also have 2 businesses that have operated cashflow positive for the last 6 years. I only went with this company because I simply didn't have time to give it my complete focus during development. However, I will be pulling it back in house.
