This product was excellent, fire your Marketing Team and start with a women who does the dishes and sell this again. I missed it terribly and for those os us in the kitchen please bring it back. NOTHING ON THE MARKET AT THIS TIME CAN COMPARE TO DAWN POWER DISSOLVER. I never saw an ad on TV for this, a f friend told me. Give it a redo.
Dawn or Proctor and Gamble does not know how important this product 'Dawn Power Dissolver' became in our household, and many other's I am being told... But here is my story...I was diagnosed with diabetes about 1994, after being diagnosed I started being afflicted with lessons on my skin. They became more than bothersome and I had to find a cleaning solution as well as a new bathing solution to keep the breakouts to a minimum. I started using an Avon product Clear Skin Product and it was super, but unfortunately they redid their product and it was not as good as before...did not disinfect as well and was more water down it seemed.. ok, I also tried to let Avon know how important this original product was and what it could mean for so many, but they did not listen...so off to find a new solution...I did find another solution for cleaning my skin and disinfecting...but while doing this was using bleach water to clean my shower and tubs...comet and several other products, which made it hard to use because of the fumes. I found while doing this that Mr. Clean magic erasers made getting hard calcium deposits and soap ### a little easier than a scrub brush and elbow grease...and one day the calcium deposits were horrible and was not coming off...so I decided to try my #1 cleaner for pots and pans, Dawn Power dissolver...wow, what a difference...it was easier to clean and powered through the calcium deposits. Not only did it take care of the shower and tub cleaning...it made it clean, I mean disinfected clean...my lessons became fewer and smaller...as long as I cleaned with this product and MR. Clean's magic Erasers and a tub brush for stubborn stains...one day went to the store to get my groceries and low and behold I could not find the Dawn power dissolver...was told they just take what the Warehouse sends them...I went to six stores that day in two different towns looking for this product...the next week same thing...no one, no one had this product...now that I have not used this product to clean the shower and tubs, I now have began to get the lessons again. Bleach itself does not work for this, comet does not, vinegar helps disinfect but not to clean hard water stains and deposits. Pine sole does the job well enough to get by, but still hard water problems remain and the disinfectant not as good as Dawn Power dissolver...It was making a sick woman better, and now...I can not find anywhere. I am low income family and can not afford to purchase a case of industrial strength for ourselves...this is all I can find. I may have to resort to this and do with out on my clothing or something...Please bring this product back, not only is it the Best Cleaner, but it is the Best health aid for myself...it may have actually prolonged my life.
I feel exactly the same way as the reader above . This was the best product for getting baked on grease off of my pans ! Please bring it back
I absolutely agree with the other posts on Dawn Power Dissolver! It not only takes care of ANYTHING on my pans, but also does WONDERS on carpet stains, cleaning my grill, cleaning my patio, cleaning my bathrooms...they should bring it back and rename it to Dawn Power Clean Anything!
My question is why they have never given and answer WHY thy removed it from the market... You would think they would want to offer a reason...::? The other question, , , why change the bottle color and is it the same as the old product DAWN...
WHY CAN THE NEW PRODUCT ONLY OFFERED ON LINE?
I have always thought that and I bet it's true. Nothing worked like that stuff...nothing even comes close!
Please bring back Dawn power dissolver in the blue spray bottle.
I've had the same experience with the Dawn Power Degreaser. But, another way I used it was on a ceiling fan in the house that we bought. It had never been cleaned and there was years of tar and nicotine on it because an earlier owner had been a chain smoker. I removed the blades for the ceiling fan, sprayed them, and waited for maybe 15 minutes. I literally wiped all of that nasty grime off with no scrubbing.
Please bring this product back...I have asthma and this is the only thing that I can use to clean my oven and baked on grease. I really hate this when you find a product that works, then they decide to take it off the market. BRING IT BACK PLEASE!
I'm in agreement with all the other pleas on this page. Cannot believe this product was taken off the market. I just don't get it. :-(
DITTO! ON ALL THE REMARKS HERE. THE BEST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER FOUND/USED! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
I'M WITH EVERYONE ELSE. I NEED THIS PRODUCT. IT CLEANS LIKE NOTHING ELSE, AND IT SMELLS GOOD WITHOUT TEARING UP MY HANDS.
Please bring the Dawn power dissolver back! Also Dawn wash and toss wipes! I miss both.. Nothing else compares
I agree totally, No one knows how hard some peoples lives really are, when I find something to make my life easy in any way I really appreciate it. I do agree please bring it back because as like the other person I can not afford 40 some dollars for a bottle. thank you I hope it soon and I hope you do not change the formula.
I am beyond upset that you have discontinued this product. I can not imagine a negative complaint. If so, they probably did not follow the directions. It is the best thing for cleaning the heavy thick crusty baking pans. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Aren't there most positive than negatives reviews?
Deeply saddened to find out that this awesome product has been discontinued! Sure glad I had a stockpile of it! This product is AWESOME and is by far the best cleaner for that baked on, hard to clean pan. I don't know how many people I got started using this...please bring it back!
I can't believe they discontinue this product. Please bring the product back. It works so good, I am extremely disappointed that I can no longer buy this product.
Found this in stock on Amazon for $22.00, slightly larger bottle. Not sure if this is the same awesome product, but I'm almost out of my 4-bottle hoard, so I'm willing to give it a try. Maybe P&G listened after all, but needed to change the color of the bottle to save face on the most insane marketing decision ever. I hope I don't start a run on the stuff, but I suspect if everyone meant what they said above, they've already googled this welcome discovery.
This was a wonderful product, very disappointed it has been discontinued.
How disappointing that P&G again stopped making a product that works. Sometimes they change just for the sake of change, to keep their product development team looking like they're doing something. Years ago they stopped making the original scent Gain detergent. I don't think it ever really came back, although they market it as such. When I asked someone at P&G why original scent Gain was gone, he said people really didn't care that much for the scent. Why, I asked, did they come out with Gain-scented dryer sheets after they discontinued the detergent?, I asked. He didn't really have an answer for that. But if people "don't like the scent, " why would they buy dryer sheets that smell like Gain?
P&G is a goofy company, albeit it huge. And now they're trying to affect social issues with ads about racism, etc. Sell detergent! Sell Olay! Sell what works!
I think Dawn Power Dissolver was discontinued because it had a chemical that caused cancer and that is why there has no explanation about why this product was discontinued. It just seems strange to stop making a product everyone loved.
I don't remember seeing this advertised much; my mom told me about it. It worked fantastic and I really wish they'd bring it back. They should do a survey and find out which of their cleaners we all want back!
Please bring Dawn Power Dissolver back. The old stuff was better. I really works great.
Please bring back this product. It worked great!
Is "Dawn Professional Liquid Power Dissolver" the "replacement" for Dawn Power Dissolver?
Amazon has something listed as "Dawn Dish Power Dissolver" and "Dawn Professional 56037 Dish Power Dissolver" and 2 or 3 other descriptions. But the packages all look the same (but none look like the old blue bottle of "Down Power Dissolver").
Amazon has something named "Dawn Professional Heavy-Duty Degreaser PGC04854" which is a blue liquid in a transparent bottle (a 6 pack for $44).
Is there a replacement?
