Beware of credit card insurance for rental cars overseas. I relied on VISA Capital One Signature Card for rental insurance for a Trip to Spain in 3/2018. I dented the rear hatch of a van I rented. I paid $628 to Avis for the damage and went thru the process with Capital One's supplier for processing claims, Eclaimsline.com. So far I have invested 6 hours in the process and have nothing to show for it. They ask for 10 forms and damage cost matrixes you do not have nor can get. They will not reimburse you without all the forms even though you have more then sufficient evidence of the damage and cost involved. It is a total scam to make you give up. I would have been much better off buying the insurance from the rental car company for $25.

I have a similar experience, rented a car in Zurich for a month, a bicycle run into the back of my car, the rental car company had it repaired, total cost 1600 US Dollar. I handed in more than 20 different documents (travel package, flight ticket copy, rental car contract, rental car voucher, three pictures of the damage, three different extracts of my credit card charges and so on.
The accident happend in May 2018 and now we have end of September and eclaimsline.com has not still payed, I called them at least 10 times, each time they have an excuse, at the beginning they said they need more documents, I always got the same letter back (they seem to be illiterate), then they said they must have the documents translated, some of the documents are in German, but not the figures and the pictures, excuses and excuses, I think they just wait until the one year limit is over, so that they do not have to pay me. I really wonder whether they ever pay, just stay away from that company.

I don't doubt the other reviews of eclaimsline, but my experience was much more positive. My collision damage waiver payment for denting the fender of a Europcar rental in Italy, through Capital One visa card, was refunded in full and with a fair Euro/dollar exchange rate. It did take 3 months from initial application to receiving the payment, most of which was waiting for the rental company to supply documents. The initial instructions about what to submit weren't completely clear (e.g. an "accident report" had to be more formal than the written comments about the damage entered by the rental agent on the rental agreement) but what was requested was reasonable in the context of the situation. Reviews by others here and elsewhere say that eclaimsline was basically a scam, but it my case they did come through. The only reason for not giving them a "5" is that they took longer to deal with and reply to my submissions than the promised 5 working days. But, since the damage was completely my fault, I can't complain!

I had the same experience. They are playing paper games and even requested my credit card bill in two of the letters. They don’t need that. It’s a benefit through my card which my card started. Website on the letter doesn’t work. Email and title of the company also don’t match. Smells like scam to me.

Terrible service. Chase Visa markets that you do not to have rental car insurance as Chase will cover the cost of the deductible. What Chase does not say is that they have farmed this out to EClaimsLine and trying to get them to do anything other than send snarky emails is impossible. I have given them all my insurance information 5 times and they still want the same form. It is virtually impossible to actually speak to anyone on the phone. All I get are thinly veiled threats about having to pay the deductible myself. They surround themselves in bureaucratic quicksand hoping to wear you down so you will just go away. I would give them negative stars if I could. Word of advice, pay for the rental car insurance and forget dealing with Chase Visa or EClaimsLine to pay for any deductibles or damages.

Literally the worst company on Earth. They will not answer email, their fax line doesn't work and when you call them you will be on hold for one hour or more. When they finally answer they will quickly cut off your call and you must go through the process again. They will ask for the same documents and I am not kidding over 6 times even though you have sent it to them over and over. Their sole goal is to infuriate you so much that you give up and pay the claim yourself. Chase Visa is brought into disrepute for associating with this company and should sever all ties immediately. I literally hate these people.

Horrendous experience. I was stranded in Toronto two months ago, had to get hotel / car / etc. More than two months later, eclaimsline has "lost" documents, or "never received" them, ignored emails, disconnected my calls, given me false information, scheduled "call backs" that never come, and "reviews" that never happen, taken "notes" that nobody else in the company moving forward can ever seem to find.

I finally got a payment $200 less than what I claimed, and all emails about it have gone ignored. I wait on hold for an hour to get an employee who has no power to help.

I guess I plan to pursue legal action, I have time and I'm petty. Wish me luck.

The ethics of this company are horrendous, I can't believe Chase hasn't cut ties yet.

I am dealing with them also for a delayed trip. They ask for the same documents over and over. I don’t know why the credit card companies continue to use them

I would be interested in how you intend to persue further action
