Nowhere in the description for OEM part NE1946 does is say, "warning, this bracket does not include the very necessary plastic plugs needed to actually put these two brackets together to actually use." Just crazy. I paid MORE for this part than it was being sold for on eBay and Amazon because I wanted the original OEM part (which came with the two plastic screws). Called eReplacementparts.com. Spoke with customer service. Nice lady. But together, we determined that you need to buy pins/screws separately because Marketing has determined that more money can be made by charging $9 for each one. Absolutely outrageous. My OEM part was $46 with standard shipping. But I cannot use it like it is. I promised I would write a bad review. Mission accomplished.
Recommendation: Do Not Use this Company. You can do much better.
I found ONE white plastic pin taped to the inside of a window panel. I used it and it is sufficient enough for the installation. That said, it would have been great for customer service to say, "No problem, we will stick two little plastic pins in a baggy and get them out to you ASAP." Would have saved me stress. (I resolved the situation on my own. Did not contact CS because I had already spoken with them at length.)
Paying a premium for an OEM part only to discover you need to buy additional components separately is indeed outrageous. It's even more frustrating when the necessary screws or pins aren't included, rendering the part unusable.
It's good to hear the customer service representative was nice, but it's unacceptable that Marketing's decisions are causing such inconvenience and extra costs for customers. Your frustration is completely understandable, and your decision to write a review is a fair response to raise awareness.
I hope eReplacementParts.com takes your feedback seriously and improves their product descriptions to prevent this from happening to others.
