fraudulent charges
I was foolish enough to believe the over 60 emails which assured me over and over that the charge for a year was $24. I paid my $24 on 2/10/2013 and visited the site maybe 3 times finding it not impressive. In March my money situation was pretty tight, when suddenly on 3/11/2013 a charge from ESPChat.com for $39.99 came through my bank. This unauthorized charge caused an overdraft charge, since I was not expecting this fraudulent charge. I sent them a message demanding my money, the first couple of messages were totally ignored. Finally they refunded the $39.99, said nothing about the overdraft they had caused and nothing about the $24 (the 60 plus emails said if not happy that the money would be refunded. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint they reluctantly refunded the $24 but refuse to refund the overdraft charges. I NEVER signed up for any additional services at this site and did not authorize $39.99 much less getting stuck with a $33 charge because I thought this was a reputable company.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
