Essential Med review: Episodic health medical insurance

I really did want to give a 5 star. Untill my bill arrived. This year the hayfever is very bad here we struggling with that! so the then the bills start coming in. The day we've spoken to a consultant to apply for episodic, they said that if we would use a network doctor its unlimited. So I also asked them so how much is the amount per doctors visit, they said there's no certain amount, As long as we go to a network doctor its covered. We had no small procedures only consultations. Now theres so much bills coming in R60 here and R60 there total of R120! For consultations which was part of a network! This absurd! I went from bonitas to episodic for better service, but seems like they lied! The pharmacy part is very good though. But this is no use. I might as well leave this insurance and go private... or go to a medical aid. im wasting R1960.60 every month. Having a medical aid with less bills is more affordable. Whats the point of paying that amount and its not what was promised! I asked them 2 times! 2 times! If they sure a consultation fee will be covered without any small procedures. Its like they want us to hoin and when we join its not as promised. How many suprises will there be in the future. I've lost my trust in essential med/ episodic. I recommended them to a friend of mine for her and her family of 4. So she can have a look and try it herself, but ill be showing her this...cos she said she dont want something like this! In times like these where you only have 1 income and lost the other you can't afford to have bills like this. Im so furious at episodic!
