new door installed this summer, $500 + cost plus 240 installation and leaks cold air around glass . not noticeable until cold air, not an acceptable door for cold climates.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I sell doors and windows at a small mom and pop business here in Wisconsin. The most common complaint with any door with glass issue is cold. The majority of time its actually heat dissipating; and this year was ugly cold. If it’s truly leaking then I’m sure whatever company this is will take care of it, but I wouldn’t pass it off as a bad but rather something that could happen to any door or window.
I bought a feather river door (craftsman style) and have the same problem. I compared the display model at HD and noticed that the glass in the display model is much thicker then what came in my door. I've created a warranty claim and hope it to be fixed shortly. Luckily this is the only issue and it can be resolved. I would suggest compare the HD display model to determine i you too have the wrong glass installed. I think this is a common issue because people who have posted pictures on HD's site complain about gaps between the glass and the bezel which I believe to be a result of this glass issue.
