The ice maker on our new fridge freezer never worked quite properly from the start, then about 10-11 months ago would no longer dispense ice cubes, only crushed ice. We called to set up an appointment along with one to repair our new Microwave from Fisher Paykel; the technician came out and said we needed a new mechanical arm for the ice dispenser. He came back four times trying to fix it, without luck, we finally got another technician out on the 4th of December, 2019 who told us that, he didn't have any information about the previous repairs and they sent him out with the wrong part! He said that the entire ice maker needed to be replaced and that he would go the shop and pull one out of a new machine and be back in a week...if they didn't have one, he'd have the fridge replaced.
We heard nothing... I contacted Fisher Paykel in January; after hours of conversation and emails, I was told that they'd order the new assembly. Still heard nothing. Finally told that it would be received on the 7th of February, and a technician would get in touch with us two to three days later. No contact from them! I began emailing them the following week, as their wait times on the customer service number exceeded 30 minutes; I received no reply.
Today, after 40 minutes a representative answered; back and forth with him saying that they would definitely order the part. What happened before? Said he didn't know!
Still waiting on two parts to our replaces microwave, and for them to authorize payment to get damage, done by their service technician, to our new cabinetry repaired.
Very nice people on the phone, and their technicians are friendly; however, they just don't get the job done!
