Have contacted your Australian Office for the replacement of my ZX100 pool filter due to failure and this was denied by Mary Mitev
My Husband is a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer and is Certified and Indentured who has inspected the filter and found the following:
The threaded tensioning ring has stretched causing the lid not to centralise which effects the o ring sealing. A new o ring was fitted this week and the unit continued to leak. There is no mechanical damage to the main filter housing body. This is a complete repeat of the previous three incidences with the same problem. Based on the consumption of these rings in local (plural) pool shops and online this is obviously a consistent product fault from what we are told. These Units are not regarded as a consumable and should reflect at least the life of the Pool Filtration Pump which was 16 years with preventive maintenance. This unit was professionally installed by one of your authorised Distributors.
Australian Government Fair Trading clearly states that Quote "Warranties are separate from your automatic Consumer Guarantees, which apply regardless of any warranties suppliers sell or give to you. This means consumer guarantees may continue to apply after the time period for the warranty has expired."
This is common fault and if I do not get a response from yourselves I will be logging a complaint against your company with the Australia Fair Trading
