This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I purchased 4 new tires from Big-O Tires that was participating in a $500 free gas rebate program. I got my certificate and that is all. I have to submit $100 a month in receipts to the address above and they are supposed to send a $25 gas card or credit card every month until the $500 is rebated to me. this will take 20 months. My rebate coupons expire November 2009. I strated this program in March 2008 and have scanned the receipts since April 2008 that I have sent to this company and have yet to receive anything but excuses as to where my $25 cards are. I am going to continue to do my part.

I, also questioned the $5.00 fee, processing why not, part of the dealship promo. (4 months into this gas receipt thing). Why aren't the car dealers part responsible, they listed freebeegas as a promo prize for coming in to see them. If, and I'm sure at this point, it is a scam, beware how easy we fell for it, and we will only be out $5 and some stamps.

These complaints are so on. I was lured into looking at used cars by Billion's in Sioux Falls. They probably gave away hundreds of these things. Looks like I flushed my $5. That adds up if they have thousands of people sending in $5 each. I have a martial arts school and was going to have the kids sell them as a fundraiser for their youth group. That would have been a disaster if these guys are scammers! Stay away! If there's a class action suit, please notify Master KC Estes at masterkc2@yahoo.com. Is the world not bad enough without people like this?

I have also been duped into giving up $5 to this company for sitting through a timeshare presentation, and having gotten no gas cards since starting this charade in July. I reported it to the BBB, and FreeBeeGas tells them they sent me a $100 gas card on 11/26. So far, I have seen nothing. I have been hung up on by FBG, and left voice mails, e-mails - all with no luck. We'll see if the gas card actually arrives. I am doubtful, and I guess I learned a cheap $5 lesson here... My advice is to contact your BBB and register a complaint to shut this company down or make them pony up so others won't fall into the same trap.

Wow, I am amazed at the number of scams. I, being one of them. Surely if we could all trace from the place of businesses we received this scam-ation and backtracked 'up the chain' we would get to someone. All these businesses that gave away these scam-cards had to have been duped as well...or better yet, are in on some kind of kickbacks from the whopping $5 received from us suckers. Think the BBB there in Largo would be of any assistance? Oh, that's a silly question too... Just look at some of these businesses though, they're a little questionable too in the way they operate as well. Mine came from a car dealer marketing gimmick.

I have been using my vouchers for 4 months now and I just figured out why. Because my certificates come from a different legetimate company called Free fuel center. I am very satisfied with the program and am very happy in getting the cards like they said i would.
I got my card from a car dealer here in Salem oregon and I already spend more than $100 in gas per month so now it takes me a fewminutes to get $25 per month for 20 months. No brainer.
I found out that the guy who sold them to the dealer is www.asaagency.com and his name is Joe.
This Freebee gas must me a knock off and a rip off if all of you have not gotten your cards but I am telling you that my sister and I both get our cards from the company called freefuelcenter which honors what they say.

Here's the kick in the teeth for ALL of us that got ripped off by Freebee, Freebie, gasredemption or whatever name they are going by today.

--------------------

Largo company's gas cards too good to be true?
By Ivan Penn, Times staff writer
In print: Saturday, November 22, 2008

"State Attorney General Bill McCollum wants you to know that his agency has an active consumer-related investigation into Tidewater Marketing's business practices.

At issue is one of Tidewater's latest offers of gas cards that often are provided through tire companies and other retailers or over the Internet via such sites as freegasredemption.com, freebeegas.com, freegasvoucher.com and gasolineredemption.com.

McCollum's office opened an investigation in July after complaints began pouring in from consumers who said they did not receive the free gas cards they expected.

Jim Barnes, general manager of Largo's Tidewater Marketing, says the problem isn't the company's fault. He said consumers aren't fulfilling their obligations

"People just don't give stuff away, " Barnes said. "The general public sometimes is very stupid."

-------------------------

Did the GENERAL MANAGER of a company under investigation for unfair business practices just call all of us STUPID?

I think he and the owners of Tidewater should take a look in the mirror.

If you haven't already contacted the FL States Attorney General, do it now and let's show this company they cannot rip us off and call us stupid.

And while you are at it, contact the WA States Attorney General with your complaints too. Seems, they may also be interested in looking into this company. Be sure to reference the FL case #: L08-3-1160

Enough is enough with this company!

I sent in our $100 in gas receipts on:

8/19/08
9/10/08
10/21/08
11/20/08
12/8/08

So far we have not received any gas rebates.

I have sent e-mails to info@freegascentral.com and they come back saying they could not deliver the message.

I have left messages at the [protected] number and they have not returned my calls.

I do believe this is a scam and my next step is to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

If there is a class action suit, I want to join in it.

I had submitted my reciepts for the first two months I had coupons for, then I came online and found all of these complaints. I decided I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Western Florida and the Florida Attorney Generals Office. A few weeks later I received notification from the Better Business Bureau that said the complaint was resolved. So FreeBeeGas.com sent me a $50.00 Visa gift card. I was reluctant and thought the card wouldn't work, but it did. So don't give up, filing these complaints is free and you can do it online. I will keep filing complaints every month if I have to to make these people follow through with their promises.

Lily, I am so happy that you got your $50, I still have not gotten a thing.

But, the point is you and I, nor anyone else for that matter, should EVER have to submit a complaint to the BBB, a States Attorney General or any other consumer organization to get a company to do what they say and promise they will do.

I personally feel that this company has never intended to do what they said they would do. They were hoping that most of us would never even bother to send in our receipts and coupons to claim our gas cards. Then when we did, they didn't have the money to cover the costs involved.

Folks, if you don't understand that yet... It's just plain FRAUD!

Businesses like this should be shut down and owners, CEOs, etc. that took part in these types of fraudulent activities should do jail time and be responsible for covering the debts they owe.

Now the 1-800 phone number for FreeBee Gas has been disconnected...within the past 3 days or so. I have not received any gas cards either, so we all better get together a class action suit and file a complaint with the state of FL. $500.00 (in gas) is alot of money...

Per kevin's post, I just tried calling the # on my rebate form. It is also disconnected. [protected]). I mailed in 3 sets of receipts beginning in Oct 08, received an email acknowledging receipt of 2 sets, but am still waiting for the $25 gas cards. I too paid the $5 registration fee. Time for me to contact Ivan Penn (writer at the st petersburg times) and the Fla attoeney general. Have they arrested the owner yet for that drug possession charge?

Living in Canada. We purchased furniture at Ashley Home Furnishings in Calgary, AB in September. Followed all registration requirements and have received nothing yet. Received an e-mail Dec 21/08.

Dear Valued Customer,

We have incurred a complete sequel server database crash; we are aggressively working just as fast as possible to get the newest system functioning properly to better service your account.

These issues were unavoidable and unintentional. We have completed the new database software and are in the process of switching the new and the old. During this time you may experience telecommunication issues with our firm, as well as internet. We are expecting to have no further troubles on or after the 30th of December. I understand this is a frustrating situation. You have all rights to be upset. However, keep sending in your receipts - our top priority is your satisfaction and assurance that you will receive everything owed to you.

Sincerely,

Made several phone calls only to get an answering service. Mailed a letter to the company advising them we have not yet received anything. If this turns out to be a scam. We should not only start a class action suit against Freebee Gas, but also separate suits against the several companies that lured us to purchase their products via this scam.

Just Googled freebee gas and they have a new website. http://www.gasolineredemption.com/ with the following message:
To better serve you we are installing new phone lines.
If you are having any trouble reaching us, please call either [protected] or [protected] Thank You !

I just called the numbers listed [protected] and talked to Amy, said she was not with Free Bee Gas but maybe she could help. I gave her my code and told her about the complaint board listings. Amy said that Attorney General has had a full investigation and that they were told better start sending cards. Amy said that our card due from October the cards are being sent out this week and should arrive by the Feb. 1st, she did not see our receipts from Nov and Dec 2008. Amy said probably not posted yet. She did give me two more numbers to call to check here they are:

I will keep you all informed if we receive anything... Hope this helps

I, too, have been waiting months for my 1st gas card. When I found this website I freaked seeing how NOBODY had received anything. But I HATE to be scammed. So I called the phone number & left a request for a callback. That wasn't enough so I called over & over till I got a live person. He was really nice & explained how they hadn't been able to handle the volume, but that cards would all be sent out within 2 weeks. I felt better - but thought it could have been a story. Lo & behold a very nice woman called me back this morning and explained the same thing. Once gas prices rose so high loads of people began to cash in on this offer (at $4.50/gal, $100 was real easy to get in one month!) The volume crashed their system and it's just being corrected now. My thought is that they must be legit if they take the time to call back. So I'll give them more time & see what happens - But don't lose hope! Those cards may still be coming!

Back in March of 2008 we won $600 in free gas. When we stopped to pick up our prize we found out that it was through this thing called FREEBEEGAS.com. OK, I sent them my 5 dollars electronically, collected my receiptes sent them in and the wait began. After May came and went with still nothing, I began to call. Back then you could get ahold of somebody, and they told me that they were used to doing maybe 5, 000 cards a month and now were doing 50, 000, and that I would receive them in the next few weeks. Of course that came and went, another call, another explanation. Now I was told that it was going to take 52 days to receive. Well it has been way more than 52 days, so I called that guy an idiot! The next call, they couldn't find me in their system. Finally in Sept I was able to get a hold of someone who did put 2 cards in the mail and I received them. I haven't recevied anything since and I keep sending in my receipts. I have also gotten the e-mail about the database crash and that all cards will be sent out by mid- January. HA HA HA HA. I have contacted the better business bureau and they can't get ahold of anybody at this place either. I don't think it is an outright scam, because some of us have recevied something. I do think they are preying on people who send in their money and then don't follow through with the receipts and those that won't continue the fight like we are. My next step is to contact the attorney generals office in Florida. Oh, by the way if you try to call now, it says tha tall circuits are busy please try again later.

I am yet another person who has NOT rec'd any cards. I have been sending them in since Oct 08. I rec'd an email stating they rec'd my receipts in good order but nothing from them since. We were roped in by one of the timeshare places in Branson, MO. We were supposed to receive $150 cash when we got down there - instead they gave us this card for free $300. I told them I would rather receive the cash. They told me that that special was over at the end of Sept and we had to take this card. We were there in mid-Sept -- how in the world they can change it before the month is over and w/in 1 week of booking our trip! I asked them if it was a scam and they said no it should work great. HMMMMM! so far it's worked like CRAP! I would like to find out how to stop this company from scamming everyone. The $5 loss sucks, but the principle of the matter is that they should have to stick to their agreement. Count me in to stop these people.

I have become a victim as well. They have made an offer, I accepted and agreed and abided to their terms for the last 7 months. Thus becoming an agreement into Contract when I registered. They have violated their contract, which is now Fraud, as they have failed to meet their end of the offer. I have called numerous times, and I received an excuse as to why I did not receive my gas cards, "They were back logged, their computer system had crashed". I have sent numerous e-mails, requesting my gas cards, and they have been getting rejected and returned back to me.

Definition of Fraud according to the Black's Law Dictionary
"All multifarious means which human ingenuity can devise, and which are resorted to by one individual to get an advantage over another by false suggestions or suppression of the truth. It includes all surprises, tricks, cunning or dissembling, and any unfair way which another is cheated."

They must be held accountable for their action! I am ready to consider civil action if they don't get their act together soon!

I am pretty darn fed up and have should be receiving $500 in gas from somewhere. I have been on hold with Freebee now known as Gas Redemption ? for over an hour - on a cell phone that is minutes. I have been sending in receipts since 6/2008. I receive a monthly email that they have my receipts. Well they have my $5.00 and they have my receipts but I have nothing. They have never sent a gas card. I have sent 2 emails to them - here is the response

Dear Valued Customer,

These issues were unavoidable and unintentional. We have completed the new database software and are in the process of switching the new and the old. During this time you may experience telecommunication issues with our firm, as well as internet. I also got a duplicate of this email from Judy. Well here it is the end of January and I still have nothing!

My intent is to broadcast. I will be sending a certified letter this month with receipts providing adequate notice and intend to try to get our local news station to pick it up as well as file with the Atty General and BBB. They need to be responsible for their own advertisements.

Here is there newest response ### of today via email

Dear Valued Customer,

During the months of August, September and October 2008, Gasoline
Redemption incurred a complete Sequel server /database crash. Other
corporations much larger than Gasoline Redemption have suffered worse database
crashes than we have using the same software. We have been aggressively working
just as quickly as possible to get the newest system functioning properly to
better service customer accounts and prevent further delays. Unfortunately, many
redemption member accounts were affected at different levels. Because all
corporate communication was at this time Internet and Server driven, you may
have noticed severe telecommunication difficulties, website absence as well as
emails declining receipts that you were previously notified were good. The lack
of communications combined with Gasoline Redemption's total inability to service
anyone or anything during the crash, sent a tidal wave of gossip, rumors and
panic throughout the US.
Gasoline Redemption would like you to know that we are not closing. Gasoline Redemption has been here the
entire time correcting the severe issues that crippled the corporation on more
than one occasion and we will continue to utilize all resources at our disposal
to correct all issues and return the gasoline redemption program to its former
state. These issues were unavoidable and unintentional. We have completed the
new database software, website and telecommunication systems and are in the
process of switching the new and the old. During this time you may experience
telecommunication issues with our firm such as an announcement from your local
carrier telling you that "all circuits are busy please try your call again
later." This is due to the amount of telephone calls coming into the local
carrier circuits. Because this is not within our control, but is within the
control of our West Coast Florida provider and the callers' provider regionally,
we cannot place an announcement or voice mail on the circuit announcement.
Although we have encountered trouble with the past systems, we ask that you
continue sending in your receipts. All new information is placed into the new
secure system for fulfillment. Please remember our top priority is your
satisfaction and assurance that you will receive everything owed to you. Please
note that our server crash did damage our collected data and is a very delicate
and timely repair and may require your input to properly correct all issues. Our
firm will be issuing email and mail notices asking for your feedback and
information. Gasoline Redemption understands this process may seem uneventful
and frustrating, however, our ultimate goal is to repair the system data
correctly and ensure that you are completely satisfied with our services.
Gasoline Redemption is working to fix this issue for you as quickly as
possible. Gasoline Redemption attempted a card correction in all data records
that required each account to be viewed and hand corrected by a redemption agent
in late December and is still occurring. We will be asking you to return the email and/or
letter stating receipt of one or more cards between January 1st 2009 and
February 1st 2009 in order for Gasoline Redemption to confirm repair. Once all
data is confirmed by you, cards will be shipped correctly and you will be
satisfied. Gasoline Redemption will never allow another situation such as this
to occur to our valuable redemption members again.
Gasoline Redemption is requesting that if contact is needed please send
a letter or email and a live agent will respond. If telephone contact is needed
we recommend that you avoid peak call times, 10:00 AM EST- 11:30 EST and 2:00 PM
EST - 3:30 PM EST, when customer service receives a higher than normal call
volume. Please note hours of operation are M-F 10 AM to 6 PM EST when calling.
Words cannot express our gratitude to you for your continued patience,
redemption and support during this very difficult time.

Sincerely,

Gasoline Redemption

I have been scammed as well. I signed up for the gas cards in september and my first month was october. I sent in my $100 in receipts and have yet to receive anything. Well...I find myself in the same boat as all of you. I too was taken for a ride by FreeBeeGas. I've sent in my receipts since October of '08 and yet to receive any gift card -as they promised- back. Its indeed a fraud.

To the person who would like to begin a class action suit against this company. We (you or all of us) would need to hire an attorney.

Thanks so much to the person who listed the information for the Attorney General in Florida. I just called that office and the spoke with a very nice lady who relaid a lot of information to me. They will persue FreeBeeGas (hopefully they get what's coming to them). They need us to file a complaint against the company though.

TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINT FREE BEE GAS.
Here is the information on how to do that:

Go to www.myfloridalegal.com

On the left hand side you will see a light blue box. Click on: CONSUMER PROTECTION. Once you do, you will get a drop down menu: Click on FILE A COMPLAINT. Then you need to select: CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORM.
Then select: ONLINE COMPLAINT FORM. (you will have the option of filling out the form on line or mailing it in). Fill the form out and just hit SUBMIT.

It is really easy and takes only a few minutes.

The person in that office that I spoke with knew emmediately about FreeBeeGas ...they have been receiving numerous complaints about this company. However, the more of us that take action and do something the better it will be. So take a few minutes and fill out the form.

FreeBeeGas should not be allowed to get away with this...I hope they fry in h...for what they did and are doing!

Warning! There's another new one working it's way through the system. Claimyourgas.com. Looking around, there are a few scattered reports already of people not getting their cards. This one is based in Arizona but the concept seems to be identical.

If you get an offer for Claimyourgas.com from a merchant, you should probably read the stories for the freebeegas/gasolineredemption/ethosforgas et al group of fraud sites for a glimpse into what will probably happen.

I would highly recommend that you don't accept a Claimyourgas.com voucher from a merchant. Furthermore, make your merchant give you the dollar value you were promised and not those vouchers.

In November of '07 I responded to Ad sponsored by Napleton's they were offering $2000 in a newspaper Ad for free gas for the purchase of a car that week. I went in traded in my old Seabring and bought a brand new one, cash. I was an easy customer. I asked for my $2000 in gas redemption and was handed four $500 gas certificates, which clearly read 1 per house hold. Therefore it was impossible to them to give their buyer $2000 in gasoline, I was not happy. After calling free gas redemption and explaining my dilemma, a representative told me to simply mail them all in with a different address and I would get back my $2000. This was around March 2008. I actually only mailed in 3. One of the 3 I have received back $75 in debit cards. The second card I have received nothing, and the third card they cashed my $5 money order and never responded. It cost $5 to register each card, and postage to send in, $100 each month of receipts. I have called numerous times and have spoken to numerous representative, and have kept records. They are always saying they have received everything in order, and they are sorry, sorry, sorry, ect. On January 22nd, everything was still being processed supposedly. In February, their lanes are constantly busy or no one answers. Basically this was fraud and a waste of time. I called my car dealership numerous times and no one returned any of my calls. Once I spoke to a woman there who basically said it was not their problem. I would have preferred to speak to a manager and put in a couple calls to "Randy" who has not returned my calls, even though he has no idea why I am calling. I am a real estate broker, if I gave this kind of service to my clients I would never make any money. Although, Napleton's Chrysler may not have control over the fraudulent behavior of the free gas redemption, they should be addressing the concerns of their clients who have spent thousands of dollars to purchase a new car from them. It was the Ad for $2000 in free gas that brought me into their dealership, I purchased a car and did not get what I was offered. Good service is definitely not their trademark, or they would be calling back the clients that have been complaining and offering them a perk of some kind to make up for the program they never should have referred us to. Shame on the free gas redemption program for ripping off thousands of people, and shame on Napleton's Northlake at 3703 Northlake blvd, Lake Park, Fl 34403, for not doing their homework and being more sympathetic, to the rip of we acquired through their false advertising.

Well hello folks,
It looks as though I am a victim as well. I to received a offer from Summer Bay Resorts in Tampa who told me just for visiting their resort, I was eligible for a 100.00 free gas certificate. Well to make a long story short, for 4 months starting in May of 2008, I sent in 100.00 worth of Chevron gas receipts and was to receive a 25.00 gas card for each month. After a gazillion phone calls to them and umteen excuses, they extended my 100.00 GC to 200.00. So I again sent in the following receipts. The only thing I received was (1) 50.00 gas certificate. I have been trying to contact them and the phone is turned off and the email is no longer in existence. I called Florida's Attorney General and was told to fill out a complaint form at www.myfloridalegal.com. Just thought I would share.

Add me to the list. I was promised by Jakes Sweeney Chevrolet in Cincinnati, if I purchased my vehicle they would give me $500 in gas as part of the deal. I got the Free Bee gas brouchure. Same as everyone else on here, I've done everything required for the past eight months now, sending the vouchers with my reciepts, the $5 fee, all that. I got the confirmation emails they were recieving everything, and of course the genaric bullcrap email responses to my emailed complaints. I have now left a message with the car dealership to try to get something from them. To me, they are responsible for this as well, because they sold me this crap as part of the deal of my new car purchase. What a ripoff!

Add me to the club!
My story is similar--I started in July 2008 after buying furniture from Ashley Furniture in Columbus, Georgia. I have faithfully sent in all paperwork--every month. However, in November, when I still hadn't received any cards, I contacted Ashely Furniture and threw such a fit that they actually gave me $100 back (I even threatened them with contacting that regional manager at home! LOL). I DID receive 2 gift cards from the Free Bee Gas. But nothing since then. I called in January and actually spoke to someone who said my next 3 cards were in the mail and would receive within the week. Here we are in the last week of February.

I am all for doing whatever everyone agrees on. I am going to go the Florida website that a few people have mentioned, and then I am going to email Ashley Furniture--I feel they have a bit of responsibility as well!

If anyone can direct me on how to file a class action suit, I would be more than happy to get that started. I have a husband deploying for his 4th time, so will have a lot of free time on my hands to pursue this!

I purchased an online RV Listing to sell my RV. The company offered the "Free Gas" gift card of $300 as an enticement because the listing cost $299. When I recieved the coupon in the mail from teh listing company, I went online and found this. Good thing I haven't actually tried to use it yet!

Michigan - I am filing a small claims case against the dealership in Detroit where we bought the car. I have found that "Retailing the Promotion" makes the store/dealership etc. liable in the event that the frebee gas company is fraudulent. If anyone has a succesful small claims case in another state, I would love to walk in with that case as a reference. Please contact me at tpesco@yahoo.com. Thanks!
