I have been been a customer of Fresh Direct since 2007 and I do like them for their large variety, freshness, quality and the convenience of home delivery...but I have to say that I have had it with items missing from my order.. This has happened to me too many times now. I know that mistakes will happen but when it is something repetitive then it really becomes discouraging to the customer.Fresh Direct, get it together, please...

If you complain that you didn't receive an item, or if they delivered the wrong item (I once got yellow peppers when I ordered rhubarb!), they credit you for the item you didn't receive, and act as if they're doing you a favor! Of course you're not going to pay for something you never received!
I would have to say 25% of my orders are missing something and I have to call.
Of course, sometimes you can't do without (like at Thanksgiving), so you end up going to the store anyway, which defeats the purpose of using Fresh Direct.
Funny--a few years back a friend ordered a thanksgiving turkey to be delivered on the day before the holiday. It was missing, and when he called he was told it was backordered and would be delivered Friday!
I still use them, for the most part they do a good job, and it's still better than Schlepping, but it is frustrating!
Fresh Direct never delivered my New Year's eve order for a party and never called to let me know they weren't coming. I waited, and they never showed up, I tried to contact them by phone (on hold for 1 hour) and emailed their customer service department to no avail. The prices are too high; the selections aren't great; and since they can't be relied on to deliver, they aren't even convenient.
New Year's eve was seven months ago. I hope you're still not waiting for them to show up. It's now July.
