Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Service after game (massmart - walmart) took my money #[protected]

I bought a Fridge online on November 24th, 2017 at +- 06h00
Payu confirmed the money was received and deducted off my account.
That was seamless. I didn't receive one iota of correspondence from Game since. 5 hours of phone calls, email writing, lies, promises of I'll get back to you, etc... NOT ONE E-mail or SMS.
Game has had my money for 11 days after a promise of 3-4 days delivery.

Telephone calls go unanswered and when you do get through they cut you off.

Absolute rubbish service. Never in all the years that I have dealt with Game or Dion have I received such pathetic service.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Service

I paid for a tv on 24/11/2017 at game store in brooklyn and I was told that the tv was not in stock but will be delivered the following day, 25/11/2017. The reason I paid for it was that, I was assured that I will get the tv. I went for an operation on 25/11/2017 (Main reason I wanted the tv in my bedroom). I asked my sister to go collect the tv on 25/11/2017 but she was told that the tv was not in stock. While still in hospital, I tried to contact game store but all I got was bad attitude and excuses from the sales manager, mr sello sefolo. I wanted the tv installed in my bedroom before I came back from the hospital. I am now back at home. I don't even want to comment about the service at the store as it will just cause me pains as i'm still recovering.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za exercise bicycle (x bike 120)

Hi
I bought a exercise indoor bicycle on 05/11/2016 for medical reasons, around June 2017 the pedals became loose. I went to Game Nelspruit to enquire in the warranty claim since I missed place the original slip and was told that I cannot be assisted without a slip invoice.

I searched all over but could not find so I went back to the shop and asked if I can get a reprint on the system but was told that the system cannot regenerate a slip. I finally got the slip and took the bicycle back to Game stores Nelspruit only to find out that the warranty expired with 3 days 08/11/2017. The bicycle was booked in and was told to wait for a call within 21 days. After 23 days without a call from Game I asked my wife to go and enquire and was told that I have to pay R550 for the repairs.

I cannot pay R550 since the bike broke within the warranty period but could not find my invoice on time. I would like you to assist me to get my bike repaired under warranty claim. Failure to assist me I will seek legal action. My medical condition is deteriorating since I cannot exercise and the 21 days has past. I recovered the slip invoice 3 days late and the bike still looks new

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Bad manager attitude.. No service

Have Bought An HD Decoder (Dstv) on 24/11/2017 at Game stores, shop 65 Bloed Mall.Pretoria CBD.Queues were long and I received a call to come home, left after paying for the Decoder, Didn't collect it.
Went back on Monday the 27/11/2017, came across a man with A very Bad attitude who I was told is the store manager.
Was told that they don't have proof that I didn't get the decoder in which I was assisted by a very helpfull sales man (I think His Name was Joseph, if not mistaken )., who went into tho system and said It they have extra stock then it would mean the extra is mine..Did and found 20 on the system in which when He went for a physical count, there were only 11 they could find (Already the stock was a mess), l.
He politely explained to me that He will call the very bad attitude man who threw his tantrums, and claiming I should leave my number they will count and call me back and if they don't then there is nothing he can do, ...2 days overdue, which I assume I'm not gonna be offered any assistant whatsover.
Tried tirelessly to contact the store, include customer care but I just couldn't get through.
Was made aware that I will not get either the decoder or my money back if the stock is not balancing, which was messed and already 8 decoders were not traceable.
Can I be informed of procedures to follow.
Have included my number at the bottom of this message...Will then draft an email with the till slip attachment and impatiently waiting for the feedback.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Online purchase

On Monday 27 November we placed an online order for a TV. The order was placed before business hours so that we could get the TV as soon as possible as their promise is 3-5 working days for delivery. All requested documentation was sent in to ensure there are no delays. After about 30 unsuccessful calls and messages left for the online team to call back we finally got hold of the online team. They then informed us that the TV would only be delivered the following Monday. (So much for placing the order before business hours).

We kept track of the order online to see when the order would be dispatched.
On Tuesday 28 November we called again and they ensured us the order would be released that day.
On Wednesday 29 November the order still was on hold so we called again... Finally got through just to be informed that they have been experiencing validation issues with the SABC for the TV Licence supplied and all orders are now being processed manually. This was applicable to all the TV orders they received. Not once did we receive any kind of notification for this delay or any kind of apology. Instead the online member who assisted was rude and not very helpful. They did not even try to accommodate us for the delay and poor service received. They just continued to be rude and finally dropped the line.

This will most definitely be the first and last ever online purchase at Game stores for us.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Customer service of the queenstown branch

Good day,

I phoned Queenstown Game store this morning with one simple question 5 min later the telephone have been drooped in my hear with the words she is stupit.

Game have a special on a deepfreezer KIC 210l tomorrow on the balck friday.

My question that i had for Game was (Can my mother pay for the deepfreezer and then i can pick it up later tomorrow?)

My reply that i have received back from Game was:
GAME - "We do not have any stock left"
ME - How can that be because the special is on tomorrow and have been advertised on facebook?
GAME - Mam if we have 10 microwaves in stock and there is 20 customers only 10 of the 20 customers will get a microwave.
ME - I do understand that but my question is how can you already be out of stock?

then Game have dropped the phone down in my ear.

Is that a why to treat customers at game?

I am exstremely unsatisfied with game and feel like the way game is treating customers is unacceptable and need to be take further.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Samsung 48-inch special offer - comes with home theatre system

On 27 August 2017 I purchased a special offer - Samsung 48-inch and home theatre system - at Game Somerset Mall. The store didn't have stock of the home theatre system but was told that stock will come in at the end of August. I agreed to take the TV and wait for stock to arrive - and that they will let me know. They didn't. I called about 10 times and went to the store for a number of times. At one stage one of the store managers, Nazeerah, said that she will personally call me to keep me up to date - nothing. Instead I had to call and go see her time and time again. It's 20 September and still nothing but promises that they will call as soon as stock as arrived. Today home Bennie van Rensburg promised that they will get stock tomorrow and will get someone to come deliver it at my house. I wait to see if this will happen.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Faulty sunbeam convection oven

In November 2016 I purchased two Sunbeam Convection Ovens to give to family as Christmas gifts. Shortly after Christmas the one became faulty and was returned to the store and a refund was granted, however the store retained the original purchase slip without providing a copy thereof.
On Sunday 10 September 2017 the second oven blew, causing sparks and flames which were immediately extinguished without further incidence.
This all happened within the warranty period on both units.
The problem we now have is that we cannot return the item to the store as they had retained the original slip of purchase when the first unit was returned, however the exact date of purchase being 17 November 2016 and possibly the store could have more information in this regard than I have.
Please advise what my course of action should be in this regard.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Defy 1300 white twintub washing machine

I bought a machine at game promenade mall on 22 july 2017 and up till today 10/08/2017, i did'nt receive anything. I phoned now every 2nd day the past 3 weeks and just get lies and promises about the delivery at their warehouse from defy. I bought the machine cash. They could have told me that time that the stock will take so long to arrive. Then i would have buy it at another place.

I phoned again on tuesday 08/08/17, and they said delivery is scheduled for the 08/08/17 at their warehouse from defy.I phoned again today 10/08/17 and they said delivery is scheduled for next tuesday, 15/08/17 again. They blame it on defy.Very poor service. Somebody should have do their job and put pressure on defy.

This is the second complaint about the service at Game, Promenade Mall, Mitchells Plain. As I said previously that I bought a Defy washing at Game cash and still is waiting for the product. I bought it on 22/07/2017 and today is 11/08/2017. Now you can see my frustration about this pathetic service. My wife have to handwash for the past 3 weeks. That's not nice and easy to do. I feel sorry for her and then I become angry again at Game. I seems like nobody at Game is putting pressure on Defy for delivery of stock.

They just make empty promises and lies every week about the arrival of stock. They keep on saying it will arrive the next week. This morning at 09h49 a gentleman from Game Promenade Mall phoned me and promised that he's going to find out the exact delivery date and will phone me back now, now, now. The time now is 12h30 and nobody call me back yet. Now you can see for yourself this very, very bad service. They have my money and I still have no washing machine after 3 weeks. They advertise products, but have no stock available.

What will make me cool off and feel better right now is if Game can promise to me in person to deliver my machine free of charge and give me a Game voucher. At least I can buy my wife something with that voucher to make her feel better. Can you please take this matter up with them urgently please.

Thank you very much.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Samsung tablet

I got a samsung tablet from my parents as a gift and the on the next day we take it back to game because the samsung was smaller than the one I needed we went to exchange for a bigger one. This is where the drama starts the lady comes and checks the tablet everything except she starts complaining about finger prints. Says she cannot exchange unless it goes for an assessmrnt for 21 days so no money no tablet for 21 days. SHe calls some guy that claims to be a manager he says that the box is open and its not fair to exchange because the box is open. The box, slip, tablet and accessories are all there. we ask him if game doesn't have an exchange policy. He leaves to go make a call and we wait forever. We leave with the tablet annoyed at tbd drama that is taking place because of an exchange. only to see the man at one of the aisles not making a call. I'm in disbelief and shocked at how game has incompetent staff that visolate customer rights.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Defy stove

I bought a Defy Slim line four plate Stove at Game Kolonnade on the 26th April 2017 and hardly two weeks therafter, the stove was tripping power.

I went to Game Kolonnade and reported this and they filled a form requesting Defy to assess the Stove. Second week of May, a technician came and find a switch burnt as well as some wires. The technician covered the wires with a tape and only three plates were working. He took out the switch and promise to come to replace the burn switch. The Stove again started to trip power and I went to Game to report this and request a new stove but officials at Game said Defy must assess the Stove.

On the 19th June I called Jan, Service Manager at Defy Pretoria and se said the technical will come to assess the stove before anything else happened, the technician came on the 21st June 2017 and saw to the problem but also came with a new switch. JOB 716648.

Both Game Store Kollonade and Defy disregard CPA Section 55.

The experience has been bad especially from big companies as Defy and Game who don't take Consumers rights serious. May complaints to Consumer Commission and and Gauteng Consumer Council will sort them out and I encourage consumer to refer their complaints to their bodies.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Ripoff and lies

I took my LG TV to Game Jabulani Mall for repair because it has a sound but no picture 31-05-2017 it's still under store warranty and has extended warranty which expire 2019, after 2 weeks I receive a message that before they can fix the TV I must pay +-R1350.00 for replacement of the part, I called and told them that the TV is still under warranty the ridiculous answer I've ever heard that I have to pay because the insects has eaten some wires inside the TV b8ll[censored]..insects only eaten wires for pictures only but there was still sound coming out, even a toddler can tell its technical fault not the crab they told me, since then no one has bothered to call and apologized it's not my fault that Game is not giving their staff a proper training before they can call customers before checking their documents properly and I wonder how many people who were told to pay and really did that for something that they not supposed to pay for, tomorrow it will be 21 days since they took my TV and I was told that I have to wait for 21 days i'm waiting I want to see if i'm getting it...I don't know whether is should blame director's, managers or black people on this one however I'm gatvol with my black sister's and brother's attitude towards blacks when there's a white person, Indian etc they give best service I never used to complain but now I do it's my money and if they want to give proper customer service they might as well stay home.

Unhappy customer
