I recently purchased a new computer and signed up with Geek Squad for service. I made an appointment to have my information transferred from my old computer to the new computer. I was sent an email that it was complete, and I picked it up. I found that there were some glitches that need to be ironed out. First, none of my photos were transferred to my new computer. Second the One Drive wasn't activated either, I tried and tried to fix both of these issues but could never get them to download to my computer. Transferring my photos from the old computer and my cell phone is impossible with the notification that there are no photos to transfer. So, this is why I contacted Geek Squad today hoping they could help me with these problems. A member on the squad Jyoti helped me and then we decided that I needed to go higher up and then Jhansi took over my computer and worked for quite a while. She was able to transfer the pictures to the new computer, but she put each and every one of them into their own individual folders. I questioned that each one was had their own folder and how bizarre it would be to have to open every folder to look and see what picture it is. She tried to fix it, but she couldn't figure out how to show the pictures and she finally said she couldn't, and I started to type and ask about the 2K pictures having to be opened individually from individual folders that are numbered, and she took over my typing, erased everything I was saying and typed in Thank You and then abruptly ended the session.
So then, stunned, frustrated and very upset, I tried to make an in-person appointment at the Mission Viejo store, and it kept bumping me back to the Chat. So, I called the phone number to make an appointment and the guy on the other end, told me to go to the Mission Viejo store that there was an opening between 2-3PM. I showed up at 1:55 and there were two other people in front of me and then when I made it to the counter, the young man behind the counter told me that I had no appointment and that there was no way to speak to someone today. So, he made an appointment for me for on Saturday, 9/14/24 and todays treatment by your squad members were less than professional. I am hopeful that on Saturday, someone may be able to help me.
Claimed loss: The frustration your people can't help me.
Desired outcome: That I can get all my photo's (not individual folders) transferred to my computer and also figure out why my phone will not transfer to the computer. Which device is preventing this from happening.
