Does anyone have information on Go Grand Getaways Vacation Club. They scammed me and my wife for $4900. They promise you the moon then when you look into scheduling a vacation, the prices are no different than if you booked it yourself on the internet. We would definitely like to join in on a lawsuit against this thieving company.

We joined last year and are out $3, 900. I tried to use their services several times. The travel agent was not knowledgeable, did not listen. Although we tried to book 3 months in advance, were told all the nice nice condos in Florida were booked a year in advance! I finally gave up ... can find better accommodations more easily on the internet or with a real travel agent. Now they are calling every day for us to renew our membership! I would join in a lawsuit but don't want to expend any more money on it. Chicago, IL

I wholeheartedly agree! I have been duped horribly by this company as well, even as recent as today! I am STILL attempting to redeem some of the $3000 scam package they sold my fiance and I! PLEASE if there is a class action suit against this company count me in! kijawrote@aim.com

I have had great vacations using grand getaways. You must not know how to use the program. You don't even have to talk with anyone. Just go to site, click on available condos, find one you like, and reserve it. If it's listed, it's available. Couldn't be easier and many are for $249 for the whole week. This is so much cheaper than buying a timeshare and my family loves staying in resorts instead of hotels. I think it's cheaper. Even if it isn't, I get nicer places and safer places and my kids love the places we stay.

My husband and I were duped by Coast to Coast "Grand Getaways" (also known as Grand Getaways Vacation Club or Grand Incentives) for $4, 900! We were solicited while we were on a Royal Carribean Cruise with one of the stops going to St. Martin. When we got off the ship to tour St. Martin, we were stopped in the street by this young man who asked us to play a game with these scratch off tickets. This kid wouldn't leave us alone despite our attemps and he kept following us down until we finally spoke to him. BOY WAS THAT A HUGE $4, 900 MISTAKE! So, we played this scratch off game, and my husband lost, but of course I won and this kid was SO excited for me because he said that I had just won a 5 day trip to Cancun. He said that to claim the prize, I would have to follow him to a building down the street. At first, I said no, but he begged us because he said he was going to receive a commission and it would really help him out and that there are only a couple of these type of scratch offs per day and he doesn't know when they come out so this was his chance to make a commission.

The nice people we were, we followed him down the street to the building. However, before we got there he was on a cell phone telling his counterparts that he was on his way with a winner! He apparently had to buy some time (I think another couple was reviewing the presentation--see below) so he asked us if we wanted a drink at this local stand on thew way. .I of course had water and my husband had a beer. I was very uneasy, but this kid assured me this was legitimate.

When we got to the building, we were greated by the receiptionist who happened to be from Florida from the same area where my husband I were from. I felt better because of that. Later a representative came out and convinced us to sit down and watch a presentation before we "claimed" our prize. Skeptical we were, but sat and watched a video at their request. When it was over, over, there were high pressure sales tatics to convince us why we should buy into this club. The were explaining the leveles of member ship such as Diamond, Platinum, Gold, etc. and depending on what you bought into determined the number of weeks you were entitled to use as condo stays. We were not interested in that sales tatic, but more so the one when they told us we could save 50 % off our curises because they have such a large membership that they were able to offer them at a deeply discounted rate. They also keep reitering how they were pported by Chicago Title as their closing agent and Bank of America. These two companeis should be ashamed of themselves supporting this type of scam. Anyway, we tested them on the cruise pricing by quoting us for the same cruise but a month later in time in the same cabin that we obtained. There pricing seemed to be just about 50% off. This is when we gave the program more consideration. Well, they pricing structure they started at was well over $10, 000, but because we tried to walk out a couple of times, they came down to $4, 900 and kept throwing additional condo weeks in the membership to "close the deal".

Well fast forward into almost year 3 of the program, we refused to renew our membership because these people are scam artists... There prices ARE NOT LOWER THEN WHAT YOU CAN GET BY YOURSELF ON THE INTERNET. THIS COMPANY IS VERY HARD TO REACH AND NOT READILY ACCESIBLE TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. We've tried to book a couple of vacations through them and were not successful because there prices were always higher! Remember there statement 50% off...well that was a crock! Even if they price matched guaranteed, why wasn't the price lower to begin with since they tout millions of members allows them to buy at bulk rates. Not to mention we never used our FREE Cancun trip. Well, it only cost us $4, 900.
If this company is so great, they should allow their members to put comments about their condo/resort stays right on their own website. You know, like Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, I think if they did, they would be out of business. So to recap, for $, 4, 900 we got nothing NADA..no trips, condo stays, nothing to show for it other than a payment every month to the Bank of America Credit they so kindly signed us up for. Oh...and there is a renewal fee and when that comes around they tell you they give you all these free things if you renew for 2 years instead of one. They even give you another free condo week...hey how about that considering its difficult to even book one, and not to mention they all look like older 2 star places. I'm ready to file suit against this company for fraud, mispresentation, and breach of contract to name a few. If you are contenplating signing up with this company PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WALK AWAY LIKE MY HUSBAND AND I SHOULD HAVE DONE ...REALLY.

I was called by a representative a couple of weeks ago who continually insisted that she wasn't "trying to sell" me anything, which, in fact, is precisely what she was trying to do. We discussed what I could get IF I decided to purchase this membership, I never once agreed. Not at any one time in that conversation did I say, "okay, sure, I'll buy this." She told me information, I asked her questions, it was a discussion. A discussion about a HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION in which I MIGHT decide, potentially, to pay for this membership. Then she said, "oh just to let you know, you're going to hear a beep and this call will be recorded." I've worked in call centers before, so I know that drill, and said okay, that was fine. Then she asked me to state my name, which I did. She confirmed my mailing address. Then she said, "and you're agreeing to the 2-year membership at $349, could you state that that is correct?" I ground the conversation to a halt and said no, I was not able to agree to it yet and needed to discuss it with my other half first. I said that I had never agreed to this. Her entire attitude/demeanor changed and she monotonously told me that she didn't think I realized what I could get out of this. I still resisted agreeing to purchase the membership, and she put her supervisor on the phone who said the exact same script that she did, almost word for word.

I did NOT end up paying for it. I said I would talk it over with my other half and then get back to them if we decided to go for it. I read up on it online and determined that basically, you get nothing out of this and everything they tell you is either strategically phrased to mislead you, or flat-out false. So I'm not going to be buying it. But it made me so angry that the woman tried to railroad me into agreeing on record to buy something that I had NOT ONE TIME even come remotely close to agreeing to during that entire call.

This company is a BIG BIG RIP OFF! We have called to book a vacation, and reserve on the website. They said they will contact you back in 24 to 48 hours. No one called us back. If they approach you put on your running shoes and get out of there as fast as you can. It is ashamed that they are taking advantage of people who want to vacation in nice places at a low cost. Hard working Americans being ripped off. Something needs to be done about companies like this. We just trying to make memories for our families and treasure those times so they can show to their children and there chilrens. GRAND GET AWAY IS A SCAM, RIP OFF COMPANY!

I Hear ya Ms. Breedlove. I experienced the same thing yet again just last week. Not that I WANT to give them any business...there are more deserving businesses out there, with REALCUSTOMER SERVICE and a desire to help their clients. UNFORTUNATELY I have given them a LOT of my money for vacation(s) so I must repeatedly TRY TO USE IT.

If there is a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, count us in! This company IS a scam. If we are able to rent anything from them once a year we are doing good! We WILL NOT be renewing our membership and throwing good money after bad. We find cheaper prices on the internet! EVERY TIME we call or click on a website AVAILABLE vacation we get the same runaround, and are told 'THIS IS NOT CURRENT INVENTORY' if and when they ever get around to calling us back! Doesn't matter WHICH 'tab' you are on, we have tried them all, so don't let them feed you that line either. Please contact us for ANY class action lawsuit! People should not be able to get away taking advantage of people like this!

I have been a member of Go Grand Getaways since 2009 and I too feel this is nothing more than a scam. I rec eived a call yesterday on my cell phone while at work from a very pushy gentlemen whose main goal obviously was to get my money $349, telling me I have over $8000.00 of equity built up and going on and on without taking a breath. Every time I wanted to ask a question He avoided answering in his very uplifting style. I explained I was at work, however did have questions and asked if he could call me at home in the am, which he did. It has been three years since I purchased the program and didn't even remember how it worked., I have two timeshares as well and sometimes confuse the programs While he was talking it all came back to me, that every time either pne of my children or myself went to use it, we wer able to get better deals on our own, or we put in a request and never heard anything back. He just kept telling me what a great program it was and that he'll put the payment on the same card I used last time I angrily stopped him and said if your my personal concierge ( he has said earlier in the conversation) I would like to book a vacation for my family and myself to either Ocean City Maryland or Myrtle Beach, what can you do for me. He advised me that he will put a request in, I asked him if there is so much to choose from why he can't answer and arrange the vacation now. He quite angrily stated that he is just handling my renewal now and if I choose not to pay my account will be purged. IWhen asked what purged meant, he stated "what do you think it means" 'Purged, you'll loose everything" . I told him I needed to speak with my husband regarding any renewal so he hung up on me. This company is AWEFUL and a RIP OFF I WOULD DEFINITELY LIKE TO BE PART OF ANY LAWSUIT

Who would I turn to for help in recovering money grand getaways scammed from my 85 year old mother? When I asked why she continued to pay them, she said that she was a little afraid of them. I see that most of these posts say resolved. I won't consider this resolved until my mother's money is returned. She lives on a retired teachers salary. Who are these people?

These people ripped us off too. I would love to join in on a class action lawsuit. Maybe I’ll file it myself once I retain a lawyer.
