SB GETAWAYS identified themselves as a Ft. Laurderdale, FL travel company. I attempted to contact them concerning my billing. The listing on the internet provides their telephone number as [protected]. That number is for Directory Assistance in Portland, Oregon! There is absolutely no way to contact that company. It would appear I was snookered.
GREAT VACATIONS NOW has the information regarding SB Getaways bookings. They are also in possession of my voice recordings with SB Getaways which includes my American Express account number. Be prepared to be placed on "hold" for an inordinate amount of time. It is they who have access to voice recordings of all transactions between me and the so called SB Getaways agent. That relationship smells to me as being more than fishy.
The amount in question is insignificant; however, if there are more inept persons such as I, it will add up to be significant for SB Getaways.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I just got a call from this company telling me I should book my vacation because the packages I purchased in 2008 were about to expire...I recalled that in 2008 I too purchased the deal for 198.00 and thought it was worth it then never got any further information from the company as promised would come in the mail and never could reach them by phone either. I now have a phone number for these people that take bookings but they tell me I will have to pay 99.00 more to renew the deal! I asked where they were going to reserve a room for the deal and they could not give me any specific hotel. Then I noticed on two of the packages you are required to attend a 90 minute time share presentation! I do not recall being told that when they made the sale.
If there are a number of consumers willing to file class action lawsuit against this company, I would love to sue them, especially for taking advantage of senior citizens and not offering any cancellation options.(for a fee of course but it would be better than losing the whole purchase price.
I agree 100% I am in on the class action suit for sure. This Company is a scam and I do not know how they can get by with it.
