This is so True, not only will you be stuck in the contract, but even after the contract is finished they will keep charging you the monthly fee and will not cancel your service.

I am in Canada and going through the same problems as you. I cancelled and they still withdrew from account after I already paid the contract ahead of schedule in full amount.

Saleman/Rep for FLUENT approached me. I had SAFW security system installed because my 91-year-old aunt was living with me. Several times she had set off smoke detectors and was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. Beerjas Bath from FLUENT talked me into switching from SAFE to FLUENT. Charges would be a lot less than SAFE. I told him I had a contract with SAFE and he replied that when I cancelled and received a final payoff bill from SAFE, I was to forward it to FLUENT and FLUENT would send me a check to pay off SAFE. I asked him 3 times and his reply was yes, FLUENT would give me a check to pay off SAFE. He never mentioned a payoff limit. He sent me a text message with the statement I was to give SAFE and the address to mail it to. I asked why FLUENT just didn't pay SAFE. He replied that they did not want SAFE to know that FLUENT was taking business away from SAFE. Now FLUENT is saying they only will pay $350.00 of the payoff. I have a witness that heard Beerjas Bath tell me that FLUENT would pay off the final SAFE bill. Beerjas Bath will not return any of my calls, nor does he reply to any of my text messages. I have called him over 0 time and left over 30 text messages that have not been replied to. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and this complaint board. If FLUENT does not want to honor what their salesman promised then I believe they are just scamming people, especially senior citizens.

That's $100 more dollars than they offered me! This must be a common sales scam tactic, same issue here. Michael Montero was my sales representative, and he cost me over $1000 in unrefunded cancellation fees from my old company.

This is a company you should avoid at all costs! They'll have you sign a contract that YOU will have to honor while they have no intention of honoring it themselves. You can spend hours of your time trying to get service, but the only kind of service you'll receive is lip service. I'm sure there are companies that provide reliable alarm systems and who will provide service to those systems when they are needed. This is not one of them. My system hasn't worked in months, but I'm still having to pay them.

Fluent took advantage of my good nature and engaged in a behavior that would otherwise be criminal if a ordinary citizen did what they did. Fluent Home, LLC wrote me a bad check. The check was returned UNPAID and as a result there are fees and penalties that I am now responsible for. The following attachment should explain my position. After repeated attempts, Fluent Home, LLC has chosen to ignore this matter.

Trying to cancel my account that’s already disconnected and can’t get anyone on the line to talk to. The line transfers to a voicemail about 10 minutes after holding!

Had to move July 2023. Cancelled services. It is now November and we are still paying for the service we cancelled three times over now. They said they sent cancellation info to ATI (company that handles their financials?) and we are still being charged.

I’ll keep it short - I had another security company install on 4/8/24. I was told on Fluent install, I was protected, even if someone ripped the panel off the wall. As the tech from the new company unhooked the panel, he told me to expect a phone call. There was none. It is now 4/28/24 and to this dateI receive daily notices my equipment isn’t responding, but no one has contacted me to see if I’m alive. 

Fluent was called on 4/11/24 to cancel service. I was told all systems were down, they couldn’t check any account - to call back next week (after visiting several review sites, this is their common practice). I began looking for an email address - absolutely none listed. They had an AI help box - I asked, it gave me the email address AND all personal info I needed to include to make it an official email. I also sent the cancellation email on 4/11/24. Becky responded and said they would work on it the following week when their system was back up. in 4/22/24, Becky told me I couldn’t cancel without calling the cancellation number, which she provided. Since that time, I have a six minute call that went to voicemail in which I told them I was cancelling and provided all pertinent information. I have a thirty minute, a forty- five minute, an hour and a four hour documented hold times at that number. No one is monitoring. Friday evening, I called the regular Fluent number again and tried several extensions. None answered. I then tried the “I want to become a customer” extension and it was answered immediately. I went off. I was told every email I had sent since 4/11/24 did not count, because “it did not include a handwritten signature”. If true, you could have told me ten emails ago. Part of my contract with them involved me setting up a secret word, in case they called or contacted me through the panel. That word was to prove who I was. That word was provided in each email. That word was my signature. 

They are a scam - delay and collect. If they refuse to tell me what to do with their disconnected equipment, I’m sure they’ll come after me later.

If you are trying to cancel Fluent, the secret is - send an email with the cancel request that includes your name, address, phone number, verbal password on your account - the must-have kicker they won't tell you to include, your handwritten signature. I took a picture of my signature and "inserted" it at the bottom. It took three weeks of daily stress, searching and intent. Even finding the email addresses are like pulling teeth.

Fluent is absolutely a scam of a company. They respond to complaints saying to call their 800 number and they will answer any questions. Except the answer, if any, is "too bad, so sad". The ONLY way to get them to perform is to get law enforcement involved. It took me getting the Utah States Attorney General involved, BUT once I did, Fluent Home, LLC took notice and stopped their illegal behaviors. They finally sent me good checks that made me almost whole.

Avoid Fluent Home, LLC like the plague. Read the reviews and heed their former & current victims. I own several properties, I used to sell home alarm systems; with integrity, and I can tell you Fluent Home are crooks. I wouldn't use Fluent if they gave me their system for free with free monitoring - for life. Truth be told; over 90% of a home security systems effectiveness is the "yard sign". Yard signs coupled with Dogs on Premises signage will go just as far as the system itself and be a lot cheaper.
