Account trying to scam seller
Hi, this account “ b70 “ inquired about one of our puppies this morning. I noticed the broken English, but still remained professional and replayed to their inquiry. They gave me the email
[protected]@gmail.com
This is their final reply to me the seller
“ Hi Seller
I'm okay with the price, payment will be sent to you which will be in form of a United States Postal Service Money Order or Cashiers Check, it'll be mailed through the courier service and i will also arrange for a shipping agent to come for the pick up right after payment is delivered. I'll like you to hold on it for this time frame and disregard any other inquiries.
The information below would be needed to send out the payment:
1. Full Name (to be written on the check)
2. Delivery Address where the check will be delivered
3. Text phone number (for quicker and better communication)
I'm hearing impaired the only way I communicate is via email and text message i hope that's okay by you, Am traveling very soon but i intend to send the payment before my departure so you should consider me your buyer, however I'm still trying to get in touch with the shipping agent who would be responsible for the pick up and delivery to my new resident,he's an interstate shipping agent and could be anywhere in the country now but if i don't get a hold of him before my departure I would be compelled to include his fee to the payment that would be sent to you, when i get a hold of him he'll provide his information of how you can get his fee to him.
Hope to read back from you soon so that I can proceed with the payment asap...okay
Thanks “

Puppy scam
Her ad is in quotes below. She advertised 8 wk old golden retriever puppies on Craiglists in Windermere, FL (Orlando area) and on Hoobly in Tampa, FL. They are $1,000 with a $300 deposit. This is a complete scam, there are no puppies. We gave a $300 deposit and went to pick up our puppy on March, 5, 2022, and the lady that answered the door said we were the third group to show up looking for a golden retriever puppy and that there are no puppies there and she is not Morgan Waterman, and unfortunately it is a scam. DO NOT purchase anything from this person, she will ask for PayPal; she is a pathetic criminal and this will all catch up with her. THIS IS HER AD:
"Litter of Golden Retriever Puppies ready the beginning of March
We are family owned, so puppies will have great temperaments. They will be used to lots of kiddo love and other animals.
Mom and dad are here and have been forever loved by my family since 8 weeks. They love the water, boats and dog parks. They are super healthy.
Please contact me at [protected] for more info and pictures."
Hoobly user Starlight82
This lady is an absolute scammer. She advertised yorkie puppies on hoobly from the Kissimmee FL area and when i contacted her she said she had multiple people interested and needed a deposit. I asked for photos of the puppy with my name on a piece of paper next to it to confirm the puppy was real, she sent the photo so i sent her $400. I later was able to tell the photo had been photoshopped. I asked for more photos of the puppy as i grew suspicious and she sent me pictures of a completely different puppy. When i let her know about my suspicions she was SO FOUL, rude, degrading, name calling etc. I kept asking for my money back and she kept saying she would send it in a few days, and then a few more days, and then j got blocked. I dont understand how someone can be so horrible and take peoples money. Keep an eye out for her
Puppy Scam Brianna Vany Van-Y Lee / Greater Pines LLC & Cynthia Everett
Starlight82 in the Florida Area is a Puppy Scammer who has been stealing money from buyers for about four years that I know of. I recently Lost $800 to this person. She set up a temporary Hoobly Ad so she could advertise in Toledo Ohio. She has had my money since the beginning of January. I caught on to her deception when her stories didn't match up so I began to research. She lies about where she lives. I only learned about the Florida scam when a victim called me on the and gave the the telephone number Starlight 82 has been using on Hoobly. I've been complaining regularly on ComplaintsBoard on the Internet but all she does is send me vicious, hateful threats saying she will take me to court. She is also telling other prospective buyers (victims) that I am lying on the internet. I am a senior citizen and thought Hoobly was a safe place to buy puppies but I've learned differently from my experience.
See Below for All Details.
Her so called Greater Pines Pugs, LLC is no where to be found in the public records.

Brianna Van-y Lee aka Brianna Vany told me this is her address:
2004 Belvedere Dr,
Toledo, OH 43614
She told another lady her address is:
Woodmont Road in Toledo
She's getting caught up in her lies.
***************************************************************
She said her vet in Toledo is
Dr Suzanne Savage
She Lied - I called this vet and confronted this scammer. That's when she became vicious because I caught her
**************************************************************************************
She doesn't speak personally on the phone; a communications are via text only
**************************************************************************************
She spells out phone numbers in some of her ads:
89 Three Zero Three Eight EightThree Three
989 Four Two Three Seven Five Eighty
(I think one of these numbers are disconnected because texts are failing)

Brianna Van-Y - Puppy scam

March 2nd, 2019 I found an ad on Hoobly for AKC registered Rottweiler puppies. After speaking with the owner, Brianna Van-Y, we came to an agreement on a specific male puppy and the transaction was done. I sent her $400 through Cash-App It was within a day or so that I noticed Brianna's actions and responses began to change. When I finally demanded an updated photo of my puppy to prove it was real, I received a photo of a pug puppy! She claimed she was a busy single mom as her fiancé was working in the south so she would send me a new photo when she got home. It never came. She never sent a meet time and that is when I began doing some more background research. We found that her fiancé Kurtis Dell is currently in prison and is also a registered sex offender! I also found through Genesee Court that her current address was not of 1406 Lynch st Flint MI that she had sent me but was indeed at 4122 Durwood Flint MI and she was being evicted. I sent her message after message with every piece of information I'd put together and threatened to use it against her and she simply said to take her to small claims if I wanted to ever see my money again. So my next few steps were to go into every Facebook site she was listed in as well as every Flint area site I could find and post all of my Hoobly scam info on her, and not to my surprise, I've been contacted by several new people that have recently been scammed as well. One man is a corrections officer who paid for a rott; one is a bereaved pet owner who'd recently lost her Pug so she met with Brianna in a Pizza Hut parking lot (3326 Miller Rd Flint in a silver Grand prix) and paid a cash deposit for a pug; a new lady sent her $900 for two English Bulldogs. This lady ( Allegan) had contacted the Allegan County Sherriff (James Anderson/Detective Lytle) and I've sent his information to every person I've found that has been scammed. I also came across the article published by ABC12 June 2017 of Brianna having her dog stolen and returned, and how terrible it is to end up being in a massive puppy scam from the same person who had been helped! I've spoken to Amber McDowells current parole officer I've contacted several agencies including CPS as I've found that she brings her young children on the meets of scamming people directly; I've found open Child Support cases so I've notified them of her illegal activities and child endangerment; I've notified Flint area DHS as I'm sure she never reported these fraudulent charges as an income; I've notified the FBI Cyber Criminal Agency as well as BBB scam reports with her info. I've also sent her I.D info to Western Union in hopes they stop allowing her to scam through them. Can you please somehow help authorities locate and bring her in? I spoke directly to Brianna yesterday 4/24/19 and she still refuses to have the rottweiler/pug/bulldog puppies she's advertised on Hoobly and refuses refunds. I was also sent beastality reports and ads that Brianna and her mother have posted for a husky named Mya in Flint personal ads. I have several scammed victims willing to share their info and help put them away! We believe per Genesse county records Brianna was evicted from Durwood in March 2019 and although her drivers license states 1406 Lynch, we found her not living their either so we currently have no solid address. Per texts and emails, I have solid proof that she was aware of our military status as well as recieved payments from 2 people for the same rottweiler puppy a week apart!

I wouldn't had these if the victim in Florida hadn't called me on my phone

The Attachments are from my phone: They are copies of some of her ads and some of the texts between the two of us.
Desired outcome: This scammer needs to be stopped and be allowed to use Hoobly as her tool to steal from people. I would also like to have my $800 Refunded but I don't expect that to happen.
she is also apparently living im perry GA.. her husband was just arrested there too. and claims shes trying to rehome another pit pup that she "just cant have" like she does every couple months..
She just scammed me for $400 that i sent her for a Yorkie puppy. She told me she lived in Kissimmee FL and the address she gave me was for a house that sold 2 days prior. As i grew suspicious she got extremely hostile and agressive. Everyday eas excuse after excuse. She was using the [protected] number and that number is no longer working as of today. Ive been trying to get my money back for 2 weeks :/

Starlight82 in Florida is a puppy scam . She advertises under the company name Greater Pines AKC pugs and Frenchies. She uses the name Brianna Vany or Brianna Lee Van-y in the Michigan and Ohio areas and gives out fake addresses. She only takes Cash App and her four telephone numbers are "text only" . She never speaks in person. When I called the veterinarian's office she said gives her vet gives her massive discounts because she has spent lots of money with them over the years, ( the vet did not know who this woman!) The phone number shown in her current Hoobly ad in Florida is one of the numbers she has used with me. When I told her the vet didn't know her, she became hostile and threatened to sue me! She owes me $800 but I doubt I will get it back but it really makes me angry to see her still advertising on Hoobly and taking advantage of people like this. This particular phone number shown in you ad is registered to a Cynthia Everett in Florida so I suspect there are others involved. She actually admitted these numbers belong to her, her husband and her daughter but told me it was none of my business when I confronted her by texting her. As a matter of fact, a another victim of this scammer contacted me when I posted complaints on the internet. Thats how I obtained the Florida phone numbers! There are other complaints about this person on the web.
A name attached to one if her active phone numbers is Cynthia Everett Brown who is located in the Florida area. That name is also attached to Hoobly with an account she's had down there for about four years. I suspect this is her main hub.
A person looking for a small dog
A person on hoobly had an add stating she was looking for a small dog and was willing to pay up to 400 dollars. Her hoobly name is doggiegirl3. I initiated a conversation with her both on the hoobly site and also a few personal text messages per cell phone because I had a small shih tzu I was re homing. After communicating a few times with her, I didn’t feel like she was a good match for my dog not to mention she never wanted to discuss the price. (I was willing to drop my price to 600 but not lower) I had spoken with a few different people on the site that saw my dog that I was re homing and I decided to sell him to a family with children because I felt comfortable with these people. Doggiegirl3 was very upset when I told her that I sold him to a different party. If you read the text on the actual hoobly site on january 29 th you can clearly see as soon as I mentioned that I sold him to another, she became verbally abusive to me, called me names, even said I was prejudice. She called me a liar about selling my dog. I can prove I sold him and i’m happy give you that info if needed. I have been with hoobly for some time and have never had a complaint and I feel it’s important you view our conversation on the hoobly site please my hoobly name is jeanbee. You can clearly see she was very inappropriate so I completely stopped communicating with her. In the mean time I looked at my profile and it looks like feb 16 th which is tomarrow they are deleting my account. I did nothing wrong ….. I just didn’t think she was a good match for my dog so I sold him to another person. Is that so wrong?
Desired outcome: I’m asking that you do not delete my account and I’m asking you to please view the way she wrote to me on the Hoobly site

Do not purchase from Suzy Ramirez. Her advertisement ensured green eyes on my yorkiepoo, and when I picked up the puppy, they were not.
My little fur baby stunk so severely I couldn’t give her back.
I contacted Suzy, and she wouldn’t respond. She is a scammer. Don’t trust her. Her cell number is 336-262-6428.
Dates:
September 13th - Initial contact
September 16th - Sent hard to see pictures, see image.
September 18th - Picked her up, see image.
Desired outcome: I contacted her via cell and she won’t respond.
Austinfranco user is a scam
Do not buy any puppies from a person under the user Austinfranco. She is a scammer she also goes by Belinda Willingham which is fake name. She is advertising yorkie and pit bull puppies. Her phone is a VoIP phone so it will always have different numbers and she wants a deposit through cash app. Her address is not her home. This person is a total scammer!
Desired outcome: I don’t want any one to get scammed
Yorkie puppy
I was talking with a women who said her name was Belinda Willingham not really her name. Her phone number is [protected], she says she lives in Grand Rapids which is also mot true. She will ask for money don't give her anything. I investigated her and she is a scam! Her phone is a voip Phone which is through computers and she can change her number. Everything about her is not real! Also goes by austinfranco for messages.
Desired outcome: That know one gets scammed
austinfranco Is a total scammer. She needs to be caught and criminally charged.
What a total loser!

January 2 hoobly listing: "please give these little guys a forever home"
This is the 2nd miniature dachshund listing i'm aware of with the exact same wording in the ad. About a month ago, I sent them a "travel deposit" to meet a puppy and they did not show up. At that time, they were posting under "iloveoatmeal".
Desired outcome: WOULD LIKE MY $70 DEPOSIT BACK, HOWEVER I DO REALIZE THAT I BEAR SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY IGNORANCE IN THIS SITUATION.
A bird who died from a genetic defect from a breeder
I foolishly sent my husband to pick up two conures that were quite expensive. Beautiful birds, inseparable, but the "breeder" wrote that she would give me a break on the second because she had, quote, TOO MANY BIRDS. I think there was fighting and underfeeding, but ours were loving and the older one was a beautiful caretaker of the younger one, very protective. Well, cut to the chase: husband returned without any papers with even so much as dates of births, where raised, the breeders name (she claimed both were DNA tested females, and they may have been that). When I tried by cell phone and hoobly to contact her, no results. Less than a year after getting the birds, the older one's beak suddenly grew, too long and too weak. We were watching if it affected her habits, and she had a slewed beak (was still trying to feed all day) and seemed healthy and active, but suddenly seemed to have a wheeze -- I imagined the twist of the beak was affecting her breathing. And when we were about to take her to the vet's she suddenly died, in my arms. So a) why is this site not vetting its sellers? b) why can you not make sure they can be contacted? I would NEVER go to Hoobly and please, do not buy an animal from this site.
Desired outcome: return of our money for the older bird
how to block user
how to block a user harrasing me
There was a lady that contact me from Eastpointe
This lady ask me to meet her and she stood me up I believe it was a scam anyway but I want her blocked from my account
Desired outcome: They didn’t show up
Unable to post picture on AD. No way to contact Hoobly :(
Hello.
I have used Hoobly for years to advertise my kittens and pups.
I have tried the last few days to post a AD and have been unable to post pictures.
There is no way to contact them thru website. No email contact, the phone numbers you have listed on your site do not work
There are very few places (websites) where us reputable breeders of animals can post our dogs/cats for sale.
As such, it is very, very important that this is resolved
Desired outcome: Being able to post AD with pictures
Pet / Animal Deception
December 7, 2021 - Client: Pugslove in Pleasant Garden, North Carolina. Contacted Pugslove on Sunday December 5 regarding a pug puppy advertised for $700. Shelly was the name of the responding person and she has a website Paradise of Pugs. She indicated she would be willing to drive the pug to my home so she could see where the 4month old puppy would be living. I thought this was odd, but okay if that is what she wanted. We agreed I would like to buy the pug puppy and she could deliver the pug to my home. I would send my home address as soon as she contacted me on Tuesday morning (Dec. 7) to confirm the time to meet on Tuesday afternoon. Apparently she sold the puppy to someone else and never bothered to let me know. We have been waiting all day for the new pug puppy to arrive but no text or call came from Shelly. She deceived me. I know there are a lot of scammers out there... so I understand what has happened and there is no monetary loss. I just wanted to let you know she is not an honest person or any one with integrity. (I have all the correspondence printed out, but I don't think there is any sense in sending this as she has already gotten away with this issue. Thank you.
Desired outcome: Just to have her account marked with person who deceives and is not completely honest.
Scammer - pup11se
This person sold my brother a very I'll puppy. She had parvo! The first night they got her she was having difficulty breathing and after taking her to the vet they diagnosed her and she passed away, they only had her for 1 week! They are heartbroken since she was their baby and this man knowingly sold a sick puppy then blocked their number or had a throw away phone. Beware!
Desired outcome: Ban pup11se
Hoobly is not allowing me to post my ads
Everytime I log into my account on hoobly and go to post a ad it pops up saying hoobly is unable to handle this request. It has been doing this since yesterday it just keeps saying the samething my mother also tried to post on her account and it is doing the samething it is not allowing people to post ads for some reason. It's also upsetting that when something like this happens it's hardly a way to get in contact with hoobly to let them know of the problem I been googling like crazy to try and find a way to contact hoobly. I just hope that this is seen and the problem gets resolved
Desired outcome: Hoobly to fix it so I can post my ad
Hoobly is not working correctly
The website hasn't been working the last couple of days. I can't place an ad as it keeps coming up that Hoobly can't handle the request at this time. I can make the ad out and add pictures but then I get the error message and the ad doesn't post. PLEASE fix this issue asap! I have always used Hoobly as it gives me the best customers! I have several puppies I need to get posted very very soon! Marcia Pierce
Desired outcome: Please fix the site so I can post!
