Early in April 2023, I booked four rooms with Hotel.com, two rooms at Best Western in Colfax, Wa and two rooms at Day's Inn in Ritzville, Wa. On April 7, I changed my bookings to May 7 with Best Western and May 8 with Day's Inn. Hotel.com charged my credit card Cdn $285.08 and told me the Day's Inn could not be changed or cancelled. And the reservation, as well as charges, were confirmed (p4, P5).
On May 7, we arrived at Best Western, the clerk asked for my credit card and I gave it to her. On May 10, my card was charged Cdn $191.12.
On May 8, we arrived at Day's Inn, the clerk told me I only booked one room, so I have to pay another Cdn $125.31 for another room. After getting home from my vacation, I checked my credit card account and found that I was charged a total of Cdn $864.09. The confirmed price was Cdn $633.20. At this time, my friend Frankie Chan just found out his US credit card was charged US $137.36 because one room was in his name.
The representative at Hotel.com told me there were refunds of Cdn $56.58 for each room I booked at Best Western (a total of $113.16), but they said I have to call the property (hotel) for the refund. When I called the hotel, they said they are not aware of any refund pending.
Desired outcome: I want a refund of Cdn $230.89 and US $137.36 from Hotel.com
