cheap junk
JTV AND JTV AUCTIONS, are still at it! I have reduced the amount I buy from them by 100's of $. Listen to this since the end of April 2010 I have had to return 4 or more items. Nikki was selling a rope chain, Item # STC1Y18". She gave her spill, great value, ...and the pic. of this chain look to be at least 2+mm for $30, yea I ordered it, it was thiner than...

Watching the JTV gemstone show, I saw a beautiful RED mexican fire opal.
The price was right. I decided to buy it based on the carat weight and the amazing color. When I received it, it was pale yellow. Nothing like the stone being shown under the item number. I returned the fire opal, and wrote a letter to their customer "care" department telling them they should be ashamed of the "bait and switch"! Never heard a word.
packaging of items
Does anyone ever use those ugly blue boxes the send your jewelry in? I can't understand why they switched to those things. #1. if we don't want people to know where we bought it, your found out they have their stupid name on it, , duh. So you have to find/buy a box to give the gift in...dumb! I like the boxes given to you on the other shopping sites, they are very nice boxes and they leave off their name...now that is smart, , jtv you messed up again...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have a whole drawer full of those blue boxes, all different sizes, & none of them have JTV/Jewelry Television on them anywhere. The only blue box I received that had Jewelry Television on it was the box with gem tweezers in it that I bought & it's a nice blue box too w/ a magnetic flap. Maybe back then (2010) they had their name on them, but not anymore that I can see. They ship their gems in clear "Gemvue" jars that have "JTV" on it, but that's all I've seen so far. I laughed when I read your comment "they have their stupid name on it, , duh.".
auction items
Just thought I would check out the jtv auctions today! I have not really been there much since they ripped me off for my ruby I won and never got. They have nothing. I checked out the 1 and 2 hour auctions, there is like 20 items to bid on, wonder why? Could be they ripped off one to many of us... Please people read the reviews before using this site... They will ripped you off in a heartbeat...

false advertising
I placed My order online Added theses Promo i had received on an email. Order was Placed on 1/12/2010 I checked the status last night it said it Oder placed but today i check and it said canceled. Called and they said it was cancel because they couldn't size it. well i called and to place the order again and asked if it could be size they said yeah. i ask if they can ask to make sure, they and confirmed that they could . the price i was getting the ring for was $622.84. i believe the reason they cancel was because i was getting a ring for so cheap. i asked if they could give me the same ring as it without sizing it they said, no! that it was cancel by a supervisor and that they couldn't do anything about it. they ruined my life i was suppose to propose with that ring because that's the ring my soon to be wife picked. its just Disappointing. order number is Order# [protected] Item: KRN041-7 14K WG 1.00CTW PC/RD DIAMOND RING.. If it was not available to be sized why is it there still or why the price go up on that same ring? its not ethical of them to cancel my order. Email me [protected]@yahoo.com
I love JTV. I have never had a problem with my purchases, customer service , or shipping. I won't buy any where else.
deceptive sleeing practices
Jewelry Television has at least one class action lawsuit filed against them for deceptive selling practices. They sell their gemstones without any grading or standards. They sell their diamonds as "cleanest brightest, whitest" which for an ethical seller would translate as flawless D color diamonds when none of JTV's diamonds are above industrial or promotional grade. Tanzanite sellers around the world grade their gems as A, AA, AAA etc, but JTV doesn't even grade them at all so one ever knows what they are going to get. What they show you on TV is not what they send you in the mail.
They have a "designer" who goes by the name "Frank" who won't reveal his real or last name even though there are many designers in the jewelry world named Frank (such as Frank Circelli, for one) so the name Frank is not unique. He also will not disclose the name of his company. He is hiding something either unethical or illegal but JTV will not say who he is or who he represents.
JTV sells fissure-filled rubies and brag about the fact that they disclose that they are treated, but never ever tell you that the treatment is not permanent. Unfortunately people don't figure it out on their own until long after the 30 day return period is way over.
They sell parcels of gemstones as high-end when they are discarded cutters’ lots consisting of poor color, highly included, deeply scratched, heavily chipped, poorly or whop sided cut stones. They also include stones have been removed from settings because they were defective or damaged and needed to be replaced.
The hosts all appear to be very ignorant themselves and victims of repeating the "company line" just to keep their jobs. Any host they hire that has credentials are quickly let go and replaced with a ventriloquist's dummy.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Did you know one host they hired is making Porn GIFs? I saw one that was posted on Twitter. It was her and others that had seen it, said it was her. She also used deceptive sales tactics by saying a cushion cut held its value better than a round cut. She is the host that cant stop when she sees a mirror. She used to be an actress.
It's not just JTV, it's seems to be anyone who is selling cheap diamond jewelry. I gave JTV a chance because when I stumbled upon their channel by accident, I saw a nice style diamond ring that sparkled on the tv brilliantly & was amazed at their price. The way the hosts talk on JTV, they make you feel like you magically stumbled upon an industry secret spot for scoring amazing deals that you could not find anywhere else. Every diamond ring I purchased from them had beautiful sparkley stones at 1st but then I noticed with my NAKED EYE, that the diamonds had pock marks, gashes, chips & cracks & not one of them was free of it! I got refunds on everything I purchased from JTV with the exception of a $20-$30 sterling silver, 0.20 cttw black diamond ring that I gave to my sister as a "just because gift". I refuse to buy diamonds from JTV but my husband bought me a $1500 1 carat total weight princess cut & baguette diamond ring from Shop NBC that we immediatley got a refund on because I could notice chips gashes & cracks in those diamonds too despite their okay color & sparkle. Have also recieved & refunded cracked & highly included stones from HSN & QVC as well. See it in person before you buy it & whether it's a $20 diamond ring or a $2, 000 diamond ring...LOUPE YOUR STONES (carefully inspect every angle of every stone under a minimum of 10X magnification). If it's too good to be true then it probably is. That line may cliche but it is the absolute truth.
lousy service
My complaint is similar to a number of others on this site. I ordered a couple of pieces of jewelry by e-mail for the birthday of a lady friend in October. The order was placed, I received a confirmation, and nothing else. A week later, I received another e-mail asking me for my opinion on my order. Since I hadn't received it, I let it ride.
Weeks later, I wrote to them (by e-mail) to ask about the status of the order. I received a response that there had been a problem with the credit card (possible, but unlikely), and they had cancelled the order. No notification at all.
Multiple e-mails (and pitiful responses) later, I sent a letter to Kevin Brabson, Customer Care Senior Manger. I finally received a response from him today. It was a bland letter ("Dick and Jane Order off the Internet" would have been a good title), essentially calling it my fault for not checking the order status. No apology, no concern.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed to me if they want to sell me something, they should make it easier for me to know about the situation. He signed off "looking forward to filling your new orders..." Not likely.
Of course, I was not able to give her the jewelry for her birthday (fortunately, I was able to substitute). I can't say I was cheated, since I never got the merchandise, and was not charged. But, I was very inconvenienced, lost a lot of time, and got a BUNCH of aggravation. I can only hope that this sorry excuse for customer service causes the company to fold soon.
bad gold earrings
I bought a pair of earrings from JTV.com/jewelry television. They were advertised as 14KT Gold. Well, I wore them for about 8 hours the other day and when I took them off my ear holes were black! What kind of Gold turns you black? I have so much jewelry all gold and not one piece has ever done this. Can't find a 14KT marking. This is false advertising! These people are hard up for a $. I am peeved, I paid $100.00 for these earrings, and as always, they say these would be 3 to 5'xs higher in a retail store! duh! They lie cheat and steal. Do not shop at jtv.com, jewelry television, you will get ripped off...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
In December 2012 I purchased several items from Jewelry Television - one in particular described as "Sterling Silver .40ctw Diamond Crown Ring" for $199.99. I wore the ring nearly everyday for over two months - then the band started turning a burnished color. I took the ring to a well-known jeweler in my neighborhood to look at. The jeweler handed me back the ring and asked where I bought it - I said Jewelry Television. The look on his face said it all - don't waste your money with those people he told me - they will sell you anything. And he was right - the ring is not "sterling silver" as stated but brass! I am furious. I called JTV and stated I wanted to return the ring because it is not what I intended to purchase. Two days later JTV called me and stated they had the a ring from the same "lot" "inspected" and it is .70% 925 sterling silver, 10% 14kt gold, blah blah blah. Sterling silver does not turn a different color - ever so JTV is lying! The ring I received is brass - and not worth $199.99. I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau today and let them sort it out because I don't believe anything JTV says - they are liars, thieves and predators and won't stop selling bait & switch products until prosecuted by the federal government.
Also - Jewelry Television has the absolute worst customer service in the business - their employees have unprofessional, condescending, rude attitudes, are willing to lie or say whatever they have to - especially if you complain. When. Refunds take weeks and this company turns my stomach with bait & switch products, ridiculously long refund policy and the worst customer service employees - QVC and Amazon demonstrate just how awful JTV really is. If you're considering buying jewelry - go elsewhere.
"What kind of Gold turns you black?" Well, I would like to point out that all gold, yellow and white, 10k 14k & 18k, turns my skin black. Silver does the same thing to me. This usually happens within a couple of hours from the time that the metal comes into contact with my skin. This happens with rings, earrings, necklaces (even if only the clasp is gold or silver), and bracelets. When it comes to the gold, it is actually the alloys, not the gold itself, that it is mixed with, such as copper and nickel, having a chemical reaction with my genetic make up. (Keep in mind, JTV will refer to their pieces as SOLID 10k or 14k gold. Solid gold is 24k, which is too soft and that is why it is mixed with the different alloys.) So basically, gold does turn some people black.
You wrote "They lie cheat and steal."
Can you please explain what you meant by "they ... steal?"
What did they steal? When did they steal it? From whom did they steal it?
jtv also schemes their employees
Well not only is JTV scamming the customers, seems they have pulled some dirty actons against their own employees. Rumor has it that a class action lawsuit was filed by an ex employee. This law suit alleges that ACN doing business as JTV, etc. of wrongful termination and age discrimination alleging a "scheme" to get rid of employee with expensive health care cost. This "scheme" was to elimate higher cost employees who threatened the co.'s objective of an independant offering. These employees were targarted by the co.'s executives because they would potentially increase health care and worker's comp. prem. Defendants are directors and officers of the company, to name a few, Tim Matthews, F. Robert Hall, Bill Kouns, Jerry Sisk and others. Wow and we feel bad being ripped as a customer. Rumor has it that one man they got rid of has cancer. Wow nice company! AND THEY SAY THEY CARE. HMM. Shame some of those people talk about God and love and family. AGAIN JTV SHOWS IT'S UGLY FACE. FRAUDS AND LIARS...SHOP ELSEWHERE, THEY ARE FRAUDS... iF YOU ARE one of these ex employees who was terminated in or around May go to www.gotaclassaction.com/filed-208.

telling lies again
Was watching tonight, and the lies are still comming. Misty (host) was saying Chrome Diopside (gem) can only be bought at JTV. BS. They listed a number of retailer such as JC Penney's, Zales and said their search resulted zero inventory for Chrome. Well what she did not tell you was that this gemstone can be gotten at HSN, Amazon.com, E-Bay, etc. She said they can set the price. Well, yea they can, because their chrome diopside is the parcels that all the other retailers turned down. I bought a ring from them several years ago for $80.00, they said this is 3 to 5 x's lower than retail! It was, you know why? It was so dark it almost looked black. How can they get away with all the lies? PLEASE DO NOT SHOP THERE. YOU CAN GET CHROME DIOPSIDE ELSEWHERE, maybe for a little more bucks, BUT you are getting a NICE STONE not JUNK...

Hi, I am new here, But have had my share of J.T.V. I moved to another one. I guess I am a glutten for punishment! Anyway, I am Winterbuttercup and live in Texas.
A whole day tomorrow on Liquidation channel, on diretect channel 55& 226, but if you think you can get bargains there, wait until, I settle with them and get my ring and see if I am satisfied and I will tell the whole story of them. They canceled an order gave me a conf.# extracted money from my bank. Now, I am trying to get another moraganite. They could not wait to put my money back in the bank.
But what about my time? Now its the hassel of calling and you have to wait and I am serous it says infinity min. It is @ least 20 min. I know there or more of us its just finding everybody. I was looking and run into this, the only forum type group or what have you that I have found. I have been sick over this. I was looking forward to getting that ring only to be lied to. I still do not and may never know what happpened.
I also have an addictive personalty. I guess. You just get in and think, well this will be the last thing I order. Then they suck you in again! It cost more to sent it back and forth than just to keep it.
Glad I found someone who knows all about this! At least I am not alone, although wish we did not have to go through this.
I do not know how those people that sell that jewelry live with their selves. They have a piece of jewelry that looks so ugly and raves about the beautful piece. They are Cons, I hope we can all gather more and more info. to bring them down. I called my cable co. thats a joke no telling what kinda kick back they are gettting from them to be on! Thanks fo rbeing here! I have bee fuming because of this! Winterbuttercup
rip off
The Auction site is just a rip-off. I won a 3ct Ruby for $26.99 plus s/h of $6.99. Got my congradulations you won e-mail, and my order invoice. After 12 days they cancelled saying the ruby was to damaged to send. Yea! Right! They send out damaged stuff all the time. Why would it take 12 days to notice this badly damaged stone? So, I have been watching that auction site for rubies and they are not puting 3ct loose gemstones on there, WHY because they don't want people to win any big ticket item for a few dollars. Today, all the rubies I saw were under a ct. WHAT RIP OFFS, DON'T BID ON JTV AUCTIONS, THEY DO NOT DELIVER..
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Recently I won a auction on-line from jtv.com. I won the bid and received my notification that I won and also recieved my order confirmation. I was waiting and waiting for my item to arrived, it did not so I check the status of my order, only to find that it was cancelled! I did not cancel it, my bank did not cancel it, so WHO DID? I called jewelry television and was told that it said cancelled, no other method of payment. I asked what that meant, they told me it did not go through my credit card. I told the "gentleman" that could not be, there is always $600 or more in that account. I told him it was not me or my bank that made the mistake, I offered to send him a copy of my statement showing that indeed there was enough money in my account at all times. He said No don't bother, you should keep you stuff in order. duh? I'm the customer! I ask if they would be willing to offer me a comparable item to the one that I won and I would pay the same price I should have at auction. No he said. I have been a customer of JTV for 6+yrs and have had lots of problems but they usually will work something out. There is good and bad, but lately its been all bad at this website. I was told that maybe my bank was updating at the time and it rejected it! I'm confused there was 7x's the amount in this account. It never happened before. Hmm could it be I won a item they price out at about $40.00 for $18.00? I wonder. I also noticed that the item was just aired and sold out during the auction bidding time. Did they take my piece and sell it for the Higher amt.? BAD BUSINESS ON THEIR PART. Anyway just beware! I ordered another item just the other day and same thing got my order confirmation and waited, nothing. Called the company was first told it was mistagged so they cancelled it, then oh no, it was already sold out! duh, why did I get my order in and rec. my confirmation and the item was sold out! I e-mailed the owner Mr. Tim Matthews since I could not get anywhere with the customer services reps., never heard from him. I have lots of complaints, they have really been going down hill. Beware of buying their watches they arrive with dead batteries or they work for 2 weeks. TIME TO FIND ANOTHER SHOPPING NETWORK...
I have experienced this too... and now JTV has changed their auction prices to have a minimum bid price. So, basically, you can't bid what you want on certain items anymore (those that we'd really want, like emeralds, tanzanite, diamond rings, etc.). Now, there's a minimum starting bid listed, and if you want that item, you have to bid above it. For example, if there's a diamond ring on auction, you'd have to bid higher than $512.89 to even start bidding on the item. I've noticed that many of these items receive no bids at all, which is completely understandable, so JTV ends up keeping the item. In the past, this wasn't the case. If the max bid was $30 for a diamond ring, it would go for that price. But I've also seen (and experienced) a great deal get canceled on me, as was done with the person posting this comment.
They are all the same! I have tried all of the jewelryplaces, well alot. They start out giving you good deals if you will remember when you got your first item. Then I think they start seeing what they can get by with.
I had the Liqudation channel on Direct T.V. channel 55&226 send me a conf. # ectracted the money out of my acc. Looked for my ring, canceled, so this is not just J.T.V. They all have money $ in their eyes. The only thing to do is go somewhere and look @ it and not pay shipping, get it and go.
I am staying away from ALL jewelry channels if I can from now on! They are suppose to be sending me another ring, we shall see.
If I am not satisfied then comes theB.B.B. the consumer affairs, anybody that will listen. I have searched I thought I was the only one, I just could not find them until today on here. There is NO TELLING how many people they have all ripped of!
auction items
Please tell me why anybody would bid on an auction item before the last 10 seconds of the auction? If anybody bidding really wanted to win the auction, they would never run the price up by bidding early. It only increases the final price for them, if they really intend to buy the item. Are these really employees instructed to run the price up? Nobody could be stupid enough to not realize they are only increasing the price for their self by bidding early. The person who wins the item is the person who bids in the last 10 seconds or less. Who are these mysterious people running the price up for no reason? Why do they never bid in the last 10 seconds. Could it be they are only trying to run the price up for others? They know they will not win, but run the price up anyway? Seems like it might be fraud! Have you noticed how their names are always the same? They run the price up for others and then stop bidding at the time they really could actually win the item (in the last 10 seconds or less).
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Wow...dude, that's how auctions work anywhere. Go to a live police auction or real estate auction in person - people don't wait until the last second to put in bids there either. On ebay, people don't wait to put in bids until the last ten seconds either. You bid what you're willing to pay when you run across the auction. When you bid is irrelevant - it's only what you bid that matters.
auction items
I have also had my orders for auction items cancelled. When I called customer service, they explained that many times the items are also available from the main website, or on-air. Customer services explained that if someone purchases the same item over the phone or from the regular online site, it will get filled before the auction items, so sometimes the auction item gets sold out before they can fill the order, and the order must be cancelled. Of course they usually get a higher price when not sold at auction too.

And different amounts, jtv amd jtv costumer service had emptied a whole wells fargo account tried for more, but the bank only paid for one overdraft and knew something was very wrong, got in contact with the card holder, the money was stolen out of the account, wells fargo wanted to file a claim against jtv. If that stolen money was not returned at once, a new card was issued with new numbers... Your card is an open book. Get a new card and numbers. You will need it, to be save from jtv... Everyone of these complaints against jtv should be shown so that millions of people can read them. And close their dealings with jtv for good. These are criminal acts... Where the costumer can loose thausands of dollars.in one day, stolen out of their credit cards. By jtv and jtv costumer service. And jtv allows costumer service to steal the money out of peaples visas. Stay away from jtv.. Take this warning very serious... It is,
Auctions are a rip of, noone should even considering bidding or attenting any auctions, the are fake and phony.. People should know or be alerted to the fact. That auctions have their own bidders bidding for the house and agsinst the bidder. So that the bidder has to pay more money for the item. Stay away from auctions, you will be ripped of 100% guaranteed. And, specily from jtv, the most crooked, most dishonest shopping channel on the internet, do not fall victim to those crooks, and way overpay for an item that is not worth it.. Jtv only carries trash and junk. Jewelry and stones. Fake diamonds, jtv. S crooked hosts peddling for real diamands. Claiming the brilliance and the quallity of thoser doamonds, when in riallety there are no diamonds, only metal cut and highly polished to look like diamonds. Sponge coral jtv peddled for rubys. Relying on costumers who havent got the fasintest ides about gemstones. Those customers jtv and those crooks hosts are looking for. To scam. Anjd rob the costumer blind. Again. Stay away from jtv and those corrupt peddlers and hosts..
Have you written to JTV's upper management about this? If not, perhaps you should start there. I am fairly sure that if you send them an inquiry as to their policy on auction item, you will get a letter back. I had 2 rings which lost stones within several months of purchase, and when I wrote to the president, I received a very reply and was able to return them for a full refund. Sometimes management needs to be alerted to problems, and will try to resolve the situation fairly. What do you have to lose? Good Luck!
I noticed this happens a lot. But you must realize some people are just plain dumb and greedy. They see it, they want it and just keep bidding. I have seen some really dumb winners, they think they got a deal, when in fact JTV sells the items much cheaper than they won the bid for, duh! I think you are right when it comes to the big ticket items, like the 1-3ct diamond stuff, etc. JTV most likely has a team bidding so they can keep the price going up! Really, are they going to let someone win a 3ct. diamond ring for $50.00? They are a rip-off site and people should avoid them at any cost.
fraud and scam
Won another auction item at JTV.COM, got my confirmation number, got my congradulations you won an auction and was waiting for that 3ct. ruby. Well it did not come, I look on my account status and it was cancelled by JTV. This time their excuse was that the stone was to damaged to send out! really? They mail out damaged stuff all the time. What really got me was it took them 12 days to figure out this ruby was damaged. I ask them to send it, the item pictured was ok, not so damaged looking to me. BUT THAT'S NOT THE PICTURE, ONLY A COMPARSION. Geez, they have done this to me several times. Guess they could not find a ruby at 3ct. for 26$ plus 6.99 s/h. They had no problem mailing me out the quartz I won two days earlier, had that in no time flat. They are frauds. NO WAY WERE THEY GOING TO LET A 3CT. RUBY GO AT THIS PRICE. AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS FRAUD. I won it fair and square and they DID NOT DELIVER. My advice is DO NOT USE JTV.COM AUCTION SITE/OR SHOP THERE AT ALL. YOU WILL BE SORRY IN THE END...

Thank goodness U.S. consumers now havea federal consumer complaint bureau - Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - and it works - unlike the FTC that only takes complaints but you never hear from them again. The CFPB actually investigates, contacts you and gets results - I filed a complaint about 5 weeks ago and the company I complained about sent me a two-page letter trying to explain what they did. I believe the complaints about JTV are valid - and customers have complained for years but nothing was done except a class action lawsuit that benefitted only the people notified as "class members".
Customers that are ripped off by JTV should file a complaint with the FCPB - keep the invoice and receipts from purchases because the invoice states the item description - and in many cases customers do NOT receive what they ordered - bait & switch - 9mm pearls should be 9mm - not 4 or 5 mm, etc. It will take years to take this country back from the outright greed and fraud so rampant over the past 10 years or so.
wrong item sent
I had been doing business with JTV snce 2007. At first, I believed everything they said on television and ate it all up. I spent several thousands on various items ranging from rings, necklaces, earrings, etc as well as gifts for friends and relatives. I even broke a CD once to buy their jewelry. They have sent me wrong items in the past which they were readily apologetic and immediately sent the correct items to me without me sending the wrong items back. Granted the wrong items were very inexpensive so I guess it wasn't worth the money for them to send me a prepaid label. Well, they have since then sent me another wrong item which this time they wanted it back before they could send me the correct item or issue a refund. I was very offended by the customer service rep insinuating that I was trying to pull a fast one, claiming that a lot of customers say that they have received wrong items in order to get "free replacements". On that note, I asked for her supervisor who was as rude as the rep and even hung up on me. Since then, I haven't been able to get any cooperation from anyone to help me or resolve the problem. I returned the wrong item the same day I received it and paid for the postage and delivery confirmation myself. I still have not gotten any response from them as to the status of my refund so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I have vowed to never do business with JTV ever again. They are liars and cheaters!

This same thing happened to me with JTV! I'm still trying to get them to refund me for charging me for a $1, 300 diamond ring I'd ordered, but instead they sent me a $40 ring. Seeing how common this is, along with the rudeness of JTV's customer service department (I thought the reps I was dealing with had to be flukes!), I see that JTV is simply a lousy company that hires lousy people that treat their customers like trash.
Ah. This happens often. Don't know what the people are doing in the shipping dept. I ordered some appatite earrings for $79.00 and was sent one of those cheap chip necklaces they sell instead. I called and the CSR made it sound as if I was lying. THEY JUST WANT OUR MONEY, DON'T CARE HOW THEY GET IT. These people are rip-offs! STAY AWAY FROM JTV. I am hoping to get enough people gathered together and maybe there can be a class action law suit AGAIN. They lie, cheat and steal to get your business.
goal is to rip you off
Jtv is there to rip you off. It took me awhile to catch on but I finally did. I was one of the people who got ripped on the andesine/lab. I did not bother to send back my info. Related to the law suit. They still had me fooled! Now I know. They have gotten worst over the years. They send out watches with dead batteries, watches with the plastic tabs missing and running, the so called warrenty is missing. How do they get away with this? Did I buy a used watch? Should it not be a law that they tell you it is used, may need a battery, etc.? I learned from the host that their overlay is much better than the standard in the industry. She said 25mils is the standard. This is 100 or more mils. Some of the stuff I bought turned in a few weeks! How can they claim their's is better? You know, I think they count on people not getting things checked out. They sold me a pearl necklace and said it was worth 3 to 5 x's more, a jeweler look at it and told me it should be in a grab bag! Boy did I feel stupid. I have so much jewelry, watches and gemstones and most of it is just plain junk. I can't even sale it at a yard sale for a few bucks. Never buy their gemstone parcels, I tried 2 x's, they are all so tiny and you don't know if it is real or glass. Oh and never waste you time on their auction site, they rip you off even more on that site. One thing that I really feel bad about is giving reviews, once you write a review, you can't go in to change it and the site won't let you review it again. I gave nice reviews for things I received and after wearing the item a few times it broke, dented, overlay fell off. Please do not shop at jtv.com, you will be sorry in the end!

All these jewelry places are rip offs and they are getting away with it. I found what I thought was a good place to purchase some jewelry @ Palm Beach Jewelry on line. Same things, same problems. So, I am closing my accounts and never ordering again. You always, take a chance on loosing with theses places! So, if I cannot hold and look at something that is tangable to purchase, I do not need it. I had problems, also with liquidation channel, thay call it bid, so that is the loop hole for them! They canceled and said there was something wrong with the items, ALL 7 or 8 ? I did receive some good pieces and they did work with me, but by now they are on their feet and moving up, so they will not care now. But, there are places to complain, the B.B.B. consumer affairs, the attorney general, the federal trade commission just to mention a few. So, if enough people make complaints, they will add up! The trouble is, noone wants all the hassel and they know that. There is also, a place called Etsy inc, A.K.A. Bellachicdesigns, NEVER purchase from that lying little gal. I purchased through pay pal even, those cameos, that says 1 item available and she, LENY, canceled on me. Then lied and said she, was going to send them and felt, so bad give my money back also. Never happened, if it had not been through paypal, she would have kept it. I wanted to go and find her in N.Y.But, those items are still on there, they are just bait and a ploy to attract you that stupid site. Pay pal did nothing to boot her out, so I canceled my acc. there, also. I have maybe 3 places I trust on the net to order and I will NOT order from idiots, again.

stone fell out of ring and i'm stuck with it
I purchase a white & blue irradiated diamond band from jtv in this year in late spring. Ordered a size 6.5 and within the 30 day grace period a stone fell out on the lower edge of the band. I returned the ring for a refund and was stocked when the ring was returned to me with a note that the ring had been resized to a 5.5 and because the repair out been done by a vendor other than jtv they wouldn't refund the amount. 1) I never sized the ring 2) I was within the 30 day grace period 3) now i'm stuck with a ring that can't be worn.
I contacted customer service every week for three week voicing my unhappiness and was told to write to kevin brabson that he would make the final decision. His response was the same - touch luck charlie, your stuck with the ring.
I have sent him several more emails with not further response. Posted a bad review on their website - no surprize it didn't get posted!
Took the ring to a local jeweler and has the ring put on a ring stick and it actually sized as 5.75.
Buyers beware of jtv!

If sending the customer's order with the wrong-sized item is their motive of scamming, then this is a shame, shame, shame! Where are the honest jewelers?
At JTV their ring size is never the size stated. I have ordered 50 rings or more and not one was the size stated. I have a ring sizer so I know what size I actually got. I think they do this so they will not have to refund $'s for their junky rings. We have no way of knowing they were size. AGAIN JUST ANOTHER WAY to rip-off the consumer. I can not believe these people are still in business. HOW CAN THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT. What gets me is how many on that site act so holier than thou...shame, shame, they are fruads and scam artists.
pave set diamond rings
I have bought four 10K gold rings with pave set diamonds within a short period of time from JTV. On eacj roing, the diamonds keep falling out. The ring I paid $400.00 for is now sitting in my jewelry box with a missing diamond again. I have already replaced stones in this ring 3 times. The other 3 are are also missing diamonds. I have given up on these rings. JTV, of course, won't do anything about the lost diamonds...it is my problem.
Also, I went to have 2 of them appraised and the jeweler said that they were not 10K gold...probably only 9k because they failed the 10k gold scratch test.
I have also had a colored gemstone fall out of a JTV ring. I never found the gemstone.
I guess I am a slow learner too, but I won't buy anything else from them either.

i wrote many complaints against jtv on face book, about those tiny diamond ships.. the are so tiny you have to use a magnifying glass to see them . .. here is the trues about those scraps tiny bits and pieces .. those are left overs from diamond cutters and finds.. the have no value, none what so ever, the are only used for grinding them sown in to diamond dust and use them only on nail files, , the are worthles and valueles, and jet china, japan india. tiwan . tyland put them in gold and srerling, and peddle them at those gemshows where those corrupt sheisters and crooks buy them and peddle them to the public on jtv and other shopping channels who peddle jewelry, not telling the costumer the trues about that worthles scrap. putting overprised prices on that trash, telling the public how beautifull those diamonds are, and some of the people fall for that fake talk and buy that trash, to find out later, the had been ripped of by jtc and other shopping channels, , never thinking, that is the problem, those tiny little things can not be handset like any diamond, a 1 point diamond, the are much much smaller . left over scrap, , the can onlr layed in and glued in then a coating put over so rge dont fall out, but if you bend the metal . those yiny pieces fall out, i took pictures i hope i can show you . when you see larger pieces the are molded with resin, that makes the look bigger, its a trick of the trade, stay away from those diamonds, , those tiny bits of scrap are useles and valueles, not worth anything, not even set in gold, the charge you an autrages price for that gold, those crooks and sheisters know the are ripping you of, but not saying one word, do not, , do not ;purchase those scraps, you will be ripped of 100% guaranteed ..let me see if i can get a picture of that trash in, i had to magnefy. the are to tiny,
So Sorry. Never buy from JTV. Esp. pave set diamonds. Pave set diamonds for JTV means diamond dust. They will rip you off everytime. All I can say is file a complaint with the BBB, FTC and The Atty. General's Office. Maybe if they get enough complaints, they will actually do something...
they cancelled the auction item I won
I've been buying items from JTV for many years; lately I discovered their Auction section and I started bidding. I won a bid on a diamond ring last week, the exact same ring was selling for $199 on their web site. My winning bid was $110. I was so happy that I won, but then they canceled my order! The explanation they gave me was "inventory discrepancies". I just checked their web site, the exact same ring was available in stock. I guess they just didn't want to sell me the ring for $110, but then why they put it out for auction? Bad business practice!
That is more than likely the exception and NOT the rule. I recently got a 10K heart pendant with one FULL karat of diamonds for 95 dollars, as well as a ring with 3 or so karats of rubies for 70 dollars. One bad experience isn't always an accurate depiction of their regular business practice. I've ordered many things from JTV and knock on wood, have had the best luck.
To answer your question, I am neither. You may be correct though, my luck must just be better =)
VA86. You must work for JTV or are related to someone who is employed there. I know this company, I have also been shopping there and using the auction site for aprox. 7 yrs. You may just be lucky, don't know. But here is a small list of my junk: won over 6 watches 1 came with a dead battery, all the others were running-no tabs in place, won a beautiful tanzie dark-it arrived at my house with a hint of blue, won some earrings that said 14KT they turn my ears black and can't locate that 14KT marking and they were not cheap, got a bunch of chipped, heavy included gemstones. I could go on and on! They show a picture and it is not the actual item you are bidding one. IT IS ALL JUNK. EVERYONE THIS PERSON MUST BE EITHER AN EMPLOYEE OR A RELATIVE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
I came across this site by accident while on a google search escapade... I just wanted to say that I have been purchasing from JTV auctions for about ten years now (since they were ACN auctions), and I have always had very positive experiences (purchased an emerald for $200 and had it appraised for $3200, try getting that kind of deal anywhere else!). One of the main factors that keeps me returning to their site to purchase is the friendly, helpful customer service reps you can easily reach 24 hours a day by calling, or emailing. They really do go out of their way to accommodate you if anything goes wrong. Not to sound like a cliche commercial but I do hope that people aren't so easily turned off by this review and give it a try themselves!
No way, don't send Rick W. anything, most likely he will try to get you in trouble some how. I worked with him before, when they suddenly cancell a WIN. Yes We WIN the AUCTION AND JTV DOES NOT DELIVER! This happened to me several times, and you, and how many others...I can you a bunch...he is just reeling you in slow. DO NOT BID ON JTV AUCTION SITE, THEY DO NOT DELIVER. DON'T BUY FROM JTV UNLESS YOU WANT JUNK...
Hello WCY,
I'm Rick, the auction site manager for JTV.com (Jewelry Television). First, I apologize for your cancelled order. That does happen from time-to-time, as it does with any inventory management system. (How we lose product is beyond me, but that is a discussion for another day!).
We'll make this right. I have no way of contacting you here; but if you send an email to auctions@jtv.com, that will go to our Resolutions staff, who can help you. I will let them know to expect an email from you. The most important thing to let them know is the ITEM number of the product that was cancelled.
It's not likely that the item you bid on is the same as the one you saw on our regular site - but it's also not impossible. Without the Item number, I cannot say for certain. But, they are two separate inventories, so that's why it might be out of stock on the auction site and still in stock on the regular www.jtv.com site.
I hope that helps. I want you to remain a loyal JTV Auctions customer! Thank you for speaking up - that enabled me to help you.
Sincerely,
Rick W.

bait and switch
In addition to decieving the public by selling fake gems, JTV continues television broadcast, everynight, using Bait and Switch and Theft by Deception techniques. Yes, I fell for the mixed gem stone scam where you get 100 carats or more for around a $100. These are no the gems stone shown or told about. These are the "crappy" stones of about the same color...

jtv has to many fake stones, the peddle for real gemstones, jtv depends on people who havent got the faintest idea about gemstones, and therefor trusts jtv with their stones, what a wrong way to go, that is what jtv looks for, the know 100% that the can so easely rip those people of, not even have to try /. stay away from every stone you see on jtv the have names for every stone, that in reality does not exist .. the also buy those stones at those gemshows . where the can buy them a dime a dozen... and rip the trusting costumer of 100% and more .. stay away from those stones, jtv peddles fake stones for real gemstones.. the fake russien alexandrite, do not purchase the fake the are showing .it is a 100% fake... fake blue star sapphire.. where you see white streaks plastered from one side of the stone to the other, . do not purchase that piece it is plastic, 100% fake fake sultanite, where you see all those brilliant colors, 100% its a fake, , bamboo coral has been sold for rubys . and it goes on and on .. a friend of mine some time ago, gave to me a whole shoe box full of opals from mexico., , what the call red opal or fire opal . these where raw opals, i dident see one that was the color of what jtv peddles .. the color of everyone of those stone small or larger had those colors. purple red blue lavender green. not one of them had such light red color as jtv shows those, , to me, , the look fake, how can anyone call a stone an opal if there is only one color displayed../. so with the blue and the pink . stay away from those opals, an opal has to have more then one color, dancing inside the stone, , and jet the opal is called a bad lucvk stone.. the clown of all stones, with tears inside...
