Over the years I have purchase various software programs from ken - In the last month I have had problem and have receiving errors unable to use the software, I tried to contact the company but the site is down, I also sent an email but have no response.
I am not sure if the company is still going.
Even if the company is not going I should be able to use software that I have paid hundred of dollar for, also there should be some kind of notification to the customer as the customer are trying to run business - if we cannot use the software then it also affect our business
I have lodge a complaint with Better Business Bureau, waiting for Ken Kirkpatrick Software to respond...not sure if this will happen. I'm not in the US so do not no the process there. There should be someone we can contact - any help would be appreciated.
I was never made aware that if the company closed I would not be able to use my software.
I paid hundreds of dollars -22 programs and business on stix. I knew there would be no updates - but that the software itself would be useless - had no idea.
If this was the case we should have been made aware by Ken Kirkpatrick Software
@classicUp I also was not advised ...I have always received emails from Ken Kirkpatrick Software to advise of new releases, so why wouldn't this not be the form of notification to advise customers of the business closing. It would have allowed us time to ensure we had software/password backup etc.
I can assure you I do understand people get sick and Ken's computer programming skill are not at question. You have to understand people have paid lots of money for software that they are having problem using since the company closed and it is unethical business practice to leave customer with no information regarding their purchase-what a warranties etc.
I have had a look at www.overprintart.com and while they may have useful information - who authorized the software to be uploaded ... seem strange. I would have thought a company could not just upload another companies software without some form of agreement - I could be wrong but I would be surprised in this copyrighted world we live in. Overprintart states on their site, they had behind the scene agreement with Ken Kirkpatrick Software regarding their software release ..."In 2017 when Ken Kirkpatrick asked us to supply art for his customers, we agreed not to give his customers our names/poem software. Nor even let them know we had one. " this set off warning bells to me ...what other agreements have been made between Overprintart.com and Ken Kirkpatrick Software.
Have had the same thing happen when queried with the UK site the guy was really off and said he was in hospital ill. But then the entire company would shut down so I think they have gone bust. Really annoying as the software we have paid for is useless. The customer service is non exsistant and they never answers emails. I think they are a total rip off.
www.overprintart.com I have been told and went to their site have been helping people with Kens software, the site has some great helpful info on it. Hope this helps
i have just had the same problem i was getting ready to do a big market this weekend and all of a sudden nothing is working i would really like my money back but dont see that happening
Hi everyone. I too found my software completely disabled but read somewhere about an easy fix. I applied that fix and now at least 4 of my software's are fully functional and am going to load more of the software's in next few weeks. Now if you want to know what the 'fix' is: downgrade your windows 10 operating system back to a previous version. I bought a Dell Precision T1600 mini tower with Win7 Pro x64 with 8Gb ram with 1T HDD. So far everything works. Luckily for me I still have all my reg codes and DVD disk plus biz-on-stick. And NO I am not planning on sharing my reg codes with anyone. Hope this works for everyone willing to get a non-Win10 O/S!
If you are wary that I may be telling a porky about the software working again, I have just placed a Birthday Chronicle advert on New Zealand well known auction site over an hour ago: It has 2019 date on pix:

I am in the same boat. Very upset that the hard copies I have installed have ceased to work. Any information would be appreciated!
Ken closed up due to medical conditions and he let everyone know a month before it happened. I have had no issues with his software for years
I was not notified. I just want my software to work. It should not have affected the software I have installed.
Tried using the software recently and Windows keeps giving me error messages. Won't work. Very upsetting as I just recently paid for a new license and can't use the damn thing.
Ken posted on his website a month before it would be closing down due to his health conditions and if he opened back up he would let people know. Ken is still a great computer programmer he just has medical problems. People do get sick...
Then why won't the biz stick work. nothing works. If he is sick he must have family that can let us people know who have been buying from him for years. I have purchased software from him since 1998 and never had a problem. But now none of my software works not even biz stick. He was so upset when all about names prints just went out of business but I have not received any thing from him on why we can't use his software. the biz on the stick should work on a laptop and I can't use any of my software. I think it's wrong that he didn't post something or have a friend or family let his long time customers know the problem. This is so wrong. I have spent thousands of dollars on his software.
If you are looking for Friendly Folks Cartoon Software we have struck a deal with the developer to start selling it again. you can reach us at classicetc@mail.com Thanks
www.overprintart.com I was just told has been helping people with Kens software if you go to their site it has some great info on it.
I will try the site
I have been a registered KKsoftware/aa names customer for more than 12 years. Last August I change computers and requested a new password, which I never received.
I have a very important paid show coming up again in September and need a password to open the programs. I cannot afford to loose booth rental fee and money from software already paid for. Someone, Please help!
Famous Publisher's website is gone. How do we get access to this?
The following programs are not available for download and I'm wondering if anyone knows how we can get them.
Amazing Tarot Cards
Lunar Land Company
Over The Hill Club
Thank you very much!
Where do I order paper from?

I have all of the designs that Ken Kirkpatrick has used for years, from All About Names. Email me to "turbocreations@inbox.com" with a list of what you need. The prices are comparable to All About Names.
Do you have the Santa, Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny?
overprintart.com has you will ever need. I am purchasing there, and they have a new program I am also purchasing. I've know G. H. for many years and he has always been there to support me in my time of needs. I am getting in on the sale he has going on now. Check it out, you won't be sorry. @paul6at
Has anyone been able to get these programs to work? I have my downloads and my activation codes but my restore point on my computer doesn't' go back far enough to get them to work.
Hi if you install on Windows 8 they work, It worked for me.
What do you do about your windows 10? Does 8 override it?
I have been b. uying from kksoft since 1998 and have spent thousands of dollars on his software. Now none it works. I have the biz on stick that I paid a lot of money for and even that does not work anymore. And you can't get to his site.
The phone numbers I had for him no longer work and this is so upsetting. Someone said he was sick but why wouldn't he have a family member or someone let all his customers know this. He was so upset when all about names went out of business and didn't give notice but now he did the same thing. So where does that leave all us people who have spent thousands of dollars on his software and can no longer use any of it.
I also have purchased software from Ken since 1998. I have some older disks which still work but, you have to install them on XP, haven't figured out how to make them run on "7" or "10". Since he closed without notification to me what obligation do I have of not sharing what programs I have to help people still use the programs they purchased?
Programs I have are 'First name Almanac", "The Birthday Chronicle", Anniversary Almanac", "The Gift Factory English $ Spanish", "Kinder Prints", "Class Reunion Almanac", "The Sands Of Time", "Welcome Baby", "The Pharaoh's Scribe", "Amazing Biorhythms". "Amazing Astrology", "Amazing Numerology", and "Proud Pedigrees".
I have the cd Registration Disk.
I have installed a virtual box on my laptop and put windows 8.1 then installed Anniversary almanac running in windows 7 compatibility and the program works. I tried the First Name but my activation code is an old one, evidently activation codes were changed and the last 4 digits are the first four letters of your last name, so therefor I am out the majority of my software.
What is a virtual box?

The owner/operator of AANames was Fatally injured in the Spring of 2017. Ken Kirkpatrick, programmer/owner of KKSoft was seriously injured in an accident in June 2017. As of our last communication, Ken is still undergoing intensive treatments and as of June 2018 has closed his websites.
mine wont work either :(
I moved all my software to my husbands commuter since he doesn't update his Windows but its such a pain to go to his computer.
I'm purchased the Santa program (the new one) but I never got my activation code so I'm out of that money.
Does anyone have thew new Santa one? I purchased it but I never got the activation code.
As well as how do we update Birthday Chronicle, Anniversary etc etc.. Star Almanac we can't upload to the website..
Anyone have success? Someone said they have 2015 on their Class Reunion. I only have 2013
Sorry, I didn't mean Santa I meant The Magazine one. I have all others
I am now purchasing everything from overprintart.com, and I am purchasing the new program they are in process of selling. I have done business with G. H. for 20 years or more, and he has always been there to support me in my time of needs.

i have my activation codes but when i go to use them when installing the software it does not allow me to click next.
Any suggestions?
Ken Kirkpatrick didn't disable our software...Microsoft did when they changed function calls related to a lot of programs written in Visual Basic. I've migrated all my programs to a VirtualBox installation running Windows 7, which works flawlwessly.
i have my activation codes but when i go to use them when installing the software it does not allow me to click next.
it does not go any further and the next button does not change colour to submit. I am running windows 10 on anew computer and very frustrated.
Please Help
Hi Angela, If you want your software to work you MUST downgrade your O/S back from a Win10 system. As I said in a previous email I bought a Win7 tower with Win7 already installed on it and software works very well. No problem with installation at all.
Hi Angela. If you want to, since I have no current problems with software installations and running software I may be able to help you out, for a small fee? I can do your orders for you and send you the pdf of your required item via email and then you send it on to your customer? Not sure whether this would work in practice but just a thought. Send me an email to me at mystxxy@StarGate12.net Cheers, John :)
Have old First Name almanac works perfect on windows 10 looking to trade for birthdayChronicle
Just prior to Ken Kirkpatrick having his problems, I purchased his software for all the background art, I believe it was called Legacy Art, all the designs from All About Names. I installed it on my computer, everything was fine, until I had to have my computer fixed, and that program was lost. Does anyone have that program?
Here's what I did!
Pick up a Windows 7 laptop and install the software. You're good to go!
Windows 10 is not compatible with Softwares by Ken Kirkpatrick. Use Windows 8 or Vista.
I have quite a bit of the old AANames art prints 8x10 standard sized
I purchased the First Name Almanac & other software from a distributor for Lens software in Adelaide South Australia back in 2003/2004. I was never given a disk, just downloaded the software online. That computer no longer works & I want to start using the software again. Is there anyway that I can get a copy of this software & a activation code without having to pay again? I am really stuck. The distributor in Adelaide used to sell me the background sheets but I can no longer locate him. Cheers Marg
