After signing my lease in May 2024, my Air Conditioner Unit stopped working on June 17, 2024. Since I've moved into this rental property on May 13,2024, I have faced multiple challenges of being a resident of MSR while dealing with the Resident Customer Service Team for Maintenance Requests. While waiting on a HVAC compressor to fix the AC Unit, there has been no approval accommodations from management to provide the promised portal HVAC, so I'm resulting back to the original request for temporary residential relocation a/o July 17, 2024. I was promised that someone will contact me about the portal HVAC and possible temporary relocation in a timely manner, so I will have to result to the next step of reporting this to the Dallas/Ft Worth news channel and Better Business Bureau.
During my previous communications with MSR, it is very apparent that the Resident Customer Service Team, Management Team, nor Owners show any humane courtesy when it comes to escalated requests or offerings of extension due to their failure to fix and address matters in an expedited nature. This is very stressful and concerning for a work from home resident like me to be handled very unprofessionally with no honest empathy or accountability taken from Main Street Renewal, the least.
Getting out of this lease and moving out is the best option, but that requires legal actions and other related stress. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend leasing from Main Street Renewal. Since I've had so many maintenance issues with this property, I'm sure there will be plenty more to come since I still have 10 months remaining with my lease. Please read the reviews on Google, Yelp, and BBB before you even think about leasing from them.
Claimed loss: 2 weeks of no air conditioning, 4 days of being off from work, being displaced to live and work from home
Desired outcome: Please expedite the HVAC compressor to fix the AC Unit, compensate me for the time off work and inconvenience of suffering in the heat while waiting on maintenance repairs, or let me out of my lease contract.
