I bought the snowblower in Feb and during use the plastic shifter panel started to wear down, so shifter would not stay in proper spot. On Ape 22 we took it to the shop TROYBILT told us to. Last Thursday I contacted the shop to find out the staus, no return phone call. Same results on Monday. Today my son in law went into the shop, and was told the part will arrive her 3rd week in Sept.
I phoned the local office in Kitchener and was told since it is a winter item it won’t be repaired closer to winter. He said they will only work on summer things now. If that is the case why weren’t we told about this policy, we would have brought it in sooner. Then the guy at Troy bill told me that we will have it back before winter. I asked him if that was a guarantee, and he said he could not guarantee it.
Now, my snowblower would have been in your shop for 5 months to do a 20 min fix (mechanic told us that) to me this is unacceptable. I can see maybe having wait for a part 1-2 months, but 5 months?
Now we are going away in mid Oct and not back till beginning of Nov. I was hoping to have my blower back before we left, but the way we have been treated by this guy, yes he might get the part in by end of Sept, but when will he install it?
I am very upset with how I have been treated by the Kitchener office in Canada, and in a sense the mechanic. Yes the mechanic told us it would not be fixed right away, find, but 5 months later before he eventually get the part. I have NEVER. IN MY LIFE RECEIVED THIS KIND OF SERVICE, and to receive the way I was treated by head office. Your business has left a bitter taste in my mouth to ever want consider buying another one of your products, or even to recommend you to anyone
Desired outcome: get my snowblower back by end of Sept, if not sooner and not to show any wear on it for sitting outside all summer. I expect to see it in same condition, I bought it in
