Hi there,
I hope you're all doing well. I am sharing my recent experience with Nordik Windows and seeking advice or insights from those who might have faced similar situations.
Background:
I signed a contract with Nordik Windows in May 2022 for a significant home improvement project involving the installation of 23 windows. It seemed promising From the start, but it quickly became a challenging journey.
Timeline of Events:
- November 8, 2022: Initial installation took place, and it was far from smooth. We had issues like missing windows and incorrect installations.
- November 22, 2022: I contacted their sales rep, highlighting the issues and seeking resolution. We discussed the missing windows, screens, and more.
- June 2023: After numerous back-and-forths and multiple service appointments, the final four windows were installed. However, there were still discrepancies from our original agreement, such as hardware mismatches and broken screens.
The Problem:
Despite our patience and efforts to communicate and resolve the issues, we've faced substantial challenges, including poor communication, significant delays, and deviations from our initial agreement. And now the collection department is requesting the $2,500 balance due, which we would gladly pay if we had the service we deserved, but we consider that that amount should be given back to us as a gesture.
The Request:
A complete waiver of the remaining balance owed to Nordik Windows would be a fair resolution, considering the time, effort, and inconvenience we've experienced.
Questions:
Has anyone here had a similar situation with a home improvement company?
How did you resolve it, and do you have any advice?
Is it reasonable to request a complete waiver of the outstanding balance in such cases?
I appreciate any insights, experiences, or advice you can share. Thanks for taking the time to read about my situation, and I look forward to your responses.
Desired outcome: A complete waiver of the remaining balance owed to Nordik Windows would be a fair resolution, considering the time, effort, and inconvenience we've experienced.
