I am writing to discuss an issue that we recently encountered during our stay at Novotel Chandigarh.
We had made a reservation for a three-day stay at your hotel, starting on 25th March 2024. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we found ourselves in a situation where we needed to check out one day prior to our original departure date.
When we approached the front desk and spoke with the manager, we were informed that the hotel policy does not allow for refunds in such cases. While we understand that policies are in place for the smooth operation of the hotel, we were disappointed to find out that we were never informed or provided any notifications regarding the inability to obtain a refund.
According to consumer protection laws, it is mandatory for hotels to inform guests about their refund policies at the time of check-in. However, we were not given any such information during our check-in process. We believe that it is the responsibility of the hotel to communicate such policies to guests, ensuring transparency and avoiding any misunderstandings.
We sincerely believe that an amicable resolution can be reached, and we kindly request your reassessment of our request for a refund for the unused day of our reservation. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution.
Best regards,
Gurmeet
