Don't fall for this companies lies about how they help our military. They are a rip off plain and simple. They loan you money but they charge a huge % on each loan. They are deceptive when they talk to you about loans to. I am reporting this company to the States Attorney General because not only did they scam me but I have a few buddies who also got scammed in other states. The feds should shut this company down because they pray on the military. I have read a few reports on here about them. I only wish I read those reports before I got a loan with them. Do not do business with these phoneys and fakes. They are nothing but a scam.

OMG i am so f'n pissed at this company they literally embarrassed me with my chain of command they called them and told them that I wanted a loan if I wanted my business put out there like that I would have got a fu'kn aer loan they are [censor]in [censor] holes never again !
I agree and highly recommend that you DO NOT utilize this company! Against better judgement, I applied for a loan and was told that I was approved. Thinking better of my decision, I decided to cancel the loan. I was informed following my request to cancel that my loan was denied, this after being notified that I was approved. Furthermore, attempts to reach the company were wrought with issues (for example, I was never able to contact my "loan officer", only customer service). When my loan was approved, not details as to interest rate, etc. were provided and attempts to determine the rate were unsuccessful.
The intent of this company is to simply get the customer (military) to apply an allotment towards a high interest loan from what I have garnished on the web. It is noteworthy that the application process requires the consumer to send a snapshot of the allotment being created at the DFAS website.
If you need money, there are better resources available and it would seem that Omni (I believe they are associated with Pioneer Military Loans) is a predatory lender...
I don't think that Omni military loans are associated with Pioneer military loans who are legit, Ive have had several loans with them, They ask for basic information, look at your credit report, proof of income and make a firm decision on whether they are approve you that day! Not like Omni, How in the "hell" can this be a lending company, Everything about them smell like a scam, excessive paperwork needed, DFAS pages etc. Please stay away from them period that are the most sorry lending agency i have ever heard of and why isn't this company not shutdown I don't know.
Also i never have had a loan for them, But they are an fraud with the claim "They are here for the military" B.S.
Even the phony music they play with on-hold is fake, I have told them many of time that they are the worst company in just calling them :)
We got a loan with omni in 2005, for about $3, 000.00... We started an allotment with them and paid them every month, on time, for 2 years. In 2007 we PCs'd to fort Knox, and the army screwed up my husbands LES, and somehow all of our allotments were canceled... We then received a call from omni staying that to pay the loan off we only owed like $190.00, so I paid them, and now they have ruined my husbands credit saying we owe them $9, 833.00! They are horrible! They will screw you! Don't go with them!
These people don't have the best interest of our military in mind. Not when they charge high interest rates, and expect military personnel to be able to pay it.
I totally agree! It's sad that companies like Omni claim to "help" Servicemembers, but only provide loans for interest and profit. In my situation, I received a garnishment and my payment allotments stopped causing 1 30 day late payment. Even after the issue was resolved and I paid the account to current, Omni then, reported it to the credit bureau. Despite disputes, calls, and letters, they refused to adjust my credit report for the only 1 late payment. Talk about helping our military members by trying to adversely affect a credit report. I will never do business with them again nor recommend Omni to anyone.
I have had several loans with Omni...and every time ( Call me stupid) the interest is outrageous. U have to call them to get your payoff, you can't just log into your account to view it. There for the military...beyond a joke. They are there for their investors...greedy. Just like all American companies. But they are smart. When you put Military loans on your company"s name and there is over a million Americans in the military and it keeps revolving-genius...if they were there for the military then they would keep the loans interest reasonable...especially for repeat customers. But that's not the case. I've applied for a loan with them with a 700 credit score and they tried to give me a 22% interest rate. I had 5 previous loans and always paid them off early...I denied the offer and sent them scathing emails on how they are a predator lender. I
I can understand that Omni Loans for service people are thee to say yes, when others won't. I get it. The 23% interest rate just for getting the loan, is ridiculous, but I get that too, if you don't have a good credit score. But this "accrued interest" bullcrap that they add every month is nothing but a ripoff. We have had many loans through Omni during emergency situations, and have just used allotments to pay them back, never wondering why we don't get a monthly statement from these people. Well, I asked for one, and I see why they don't wan to send you a monthly statement, because it is evident that they are ripping you off. I am taking this to JAG. They cannot continue to do this to service men and women and get away with it. They are hiding behind the "we're here for the military", no, you're here to steal from soldiers.
Did you ever tske this to jag?
I had the same problem. I pcs'd from Alaska and of course you know the pay is 5 times less than the lower 48, I called and asked them to lower my payments and they agreed only to say no they didn't lower nothing. So now instead of owing 3400 at the moment I owe 10, 000! That is ridiculous. I will be going to JAG and they report it twice a month on my report. I wish I had known!
