On July 10, 2014 we purchased a Shih Tzu puppy ( born 5-9-2014 )from Patricia Beatrice. She told us her first name was Ann. The address was 261 Stowell Rd., Ashburnham, MA.
Our poor puppy has had a history of genetic problems. The genetic problems are (1) Cataracts in both eyes (totally blind in one eye and the other eye is getting bad quickly) and (2) malformed kidneys called Renal Dysplasia. Her kidney function is less than 30%. On abdominal ultrasound her kidneys look like little hollow balls. They are clearly malformed. She needs Cataract surgery but her kidneys will fail if she has it. The vet says that she cannot have any anesthesia. The puppy is only 20 months old and with malformed kidneys she is expected to live only 5 years.
Patricia never signed the 3 page Bill of Sale that she gave us even though my husband asked her to. The Bill of Sale says "pet quality" and that we were purchasing the puppy "as is." It looks like a contract designed to get her out of any responsibility so it wouldn't have mattered had she signed it. Massachusetts pet Lemon Law is only 14 days. This is NOT what most highly populated states have regarding genetic problems.
The phone number she gave us has been disconnected, the name Ann is fictitious. Pat Beatrice is not a legitimate breeder or she wouldn't give a false name, disconnect her phone, discontinue her web page and fail to sign the Bill of sale. She knows that she is selling puppies with genetic problems that will shorten their lives and quality of life. She doesn't really care about the dogs or she wouldn't breed dogs with so many medical problems. This is animal abuse! My little puppy's medical costs in the last 6 months have been far more than what we paid for her, $850.
If anyone has purchased a puppy from her they need to not only get a good vet to check over the dog, but also blood tests - a CBC, BUN and Creatinine test. My puppy is suspected of also having a malformed liver.

This con artist is going by the name of Holly from and the website hollywoodtzus.webs.com
She lies about her name and address, does not answer questions clearly. Goes around the questions. Please beware. Thank you to the previous poster who warned about her. It's a shame.

This doesn't even make sense! Your just a jealous breeder! Your making up lies! You people really need to get a life! If you believe this I bet this person writing bad reviews has a bridge for you to buy, LOL! By the way are you the breeder knocking every good breeder out there? God knows :)

She not lying. I bought two labs from this same woman. They both now have a long list on medical problems. I bought the pups early and this breeder refused to let me visit them and refused to send pictures. She also claimed that she donated puppies to NEADS (they train dogs for the blind/military vets ect) my boyfriend worked at NEADS and looked into this further...they take ZERO donated puppies and only buy from certain breeders (sometimes they choose a shelter dogs). Once I received my puppy I noticed her belly button was weird so I sent the breeder a picture (this was within 24 hours of picking her up) she assured me that it was just her belly button. I took her to the vet and it was a hernia. I tried contacting the breeder let her know the various issues that had come up and I couldn't contact her again. So "God bless 8" I am not quite sure how is doesn't make sense. Go look at other review boards regarding the same breader. Although you will have a tough time finding them because she uses multiple names/emails/number/web sites ect. But God knows right.

Facebook friends and family... if you are looking for a new puppy. PLEASE stay far away from a MA breeder named Patricia Beatrice. She is from Ashburnham, MA. She is currently breeding labs.

My son recently purchased a black lab puppy from this woman. The dog came with pedi gree paperwork and medical records that were all fake.

We had the puppy for less than 24 hours and he had LARGE alive long worms coming out of him.

Then that quickly moved into uncontrollable bowel movements of blood and worms. We immediately contacted the breeder and she assured us this was “normal” for a puppy.

Needless to say we took him to the vet right away and were informed at how sick this little guy really was. He was on an IV and antibiotics. He even had a small tear in his rectum from trying to get all the worms out that had to be fixed.

We spoke to the breeder on a daily basis and she treated me like I was over reacting and that he was fine. With a week, the poor puppy was so sick and the antibiotics did not seem to be helping much. We tried everything. He was at vet every other day.

One the last morning of his life, 10 inches of his intestines came out. We rushed him to Buldger animal hospital and were informed it was so bad that even if we elected surgery he would never have a normal healthy life. He would be on a feeding tube and would never be able to control his bowels. The vet sadly recommended we do not have the surgery as it would be a terrible cruel life for a puppy.

As you can imagine our family was devastated and I assumed the breeder would have been also. However, she accused me of lying and the dog was actually alive. Then she wanted a state autopsy done.

All along she had promised a full refund for the price of the dog and then decided since it was not her fault that she would do nothing.

I was heartbroken and outraged and after googling this woman’s name I was horrified to see how many other families have experienced the same thing. Her puppies have gone home with broken knees, torn ACL’s, some blind, some with kidney failure. Now I am not a professional dog breeder and I am not a vet. But none of this is ok, she is abusing and neglecting these animals and it needs to stop.

After more research she lost her better business bureau accreditation and her business was closed. Only to read she keeps changing the name of her business and her phone number.

I am asking for all of my local FB friends to please be aware of this woman and to never support her business of animal cruelty and neglect. My sons heart was ripped out and we should never have had to bury a 9 week old beautiful puppy.

Fly high my sweet Melo.

Not sure how someone who says god bless 8 accuses someone who has had a bad experience with a breeder jealous.

You want to get a good breeder of AKC dogs go to a dog show, pick your favorite dog, and see who wins in the competition, then ask them when their next litters will be ready. Those will be dogs that have testing before hand, with hip dysplasia and eye testing all done of the parents before the dogs are able to be bred. They will be true and complete dogs with all the attributes of the breed, and will not have diseases etc. This woman seems like a poor excuse for a puppy mill. Oh and the amount that show people charge for a wonderful dog is around the amount these ripoff artists charge. I would not be surprised at all if @god bless 8 were the unfit breeder who created these doomed puppies, and tries to dissuade those who are intelligent enough to investigate from doing so. That breeder should be put out of business forever.
