Incident
In July 2008 I contacted Peoples First Financial so I could get information as to the loan modification process. I was advised by Mr. Rudy Mccleary that since I was up to date on my payments that I would not be able to obtain a loan modification. As he put it, my loan was not falling behind so Countrywide, which is now Bank of America were not going to work out a deal with me due to me not being behind on my payments. After a long conversation with Rudy, I decided to take his advice and not pay my mortgage for a few months and to hire People's first financial to take care of the loan modification. On Aug. 2008 I paid them $2, 495.00. I must have talked to at least 12 different people and not one of them had the same information on my file. January 2009, Countrywide was threatning foreclosure proceedings. I called everyday and everyday I faxed over the same paperwork I know they had or maybe they lost. I struggled not to curse out everyone I talked to in hopes of keeping my home and sanity. Then in April 09 President Obama's plan of Making Homes Affordable Plan was offered. I finally came into contact with Brandon Skiver. He advised me that I was already working with his company under a loan modification and I could get a better offer with them, so I respectfully declined the plan offered by my mortgage company. In May 09 Countrywide sent me a modification based upon the information provided by Peoples First Financial and June comes around and I come to find out that Countrywide, now Bank of America assumed ownership, has rejected my loan modification set up by People's First Financial due to incorrect information! I was devestated. I paid them $2, 495.00 for what!? I tried to contact anyone from Peoples First Financial and their phone number was disconnected. I tried to email Rudy Mccleary and Brandon Skiver but my messages came back as "undeliverable email addresses". I was stuck. I called Bank of America and I stayed on the phone with them for several hours. The representative went through my whole file and all the notes in my file. After Bank of America saw what had happened, they agreed to work out a arrangement with me. Thanks to Bank of America, they re-offered me the Making Homes Affordable Plan and I gladly accepted. I didn't need People's First Financial to accomplish that. Even the representative that helped me was amazed at how People's First Financial screwed me up. I want my money back and if I had the money for an attorney I would file a formal complaint against them. I feel betrayed and they did not fufill their end of the bargain. I should be refunded the monies I paid. Its a wonder how they could live with themselves after they have damaged so many peoples lives, including mine.

They are now operating under Infiniti Wealth Services and First Assist Financial. Direct all your complaints to these companies. Ross Young and Raul Bautista are behind the new companies. They change there name from Peoples First Financial all the time! Check all these posts and search them on the internet and you will find this information. They now say they are a law firm.

I am from California & I'm really ticked off! It has come to my attention to research this company more online, since I had been leaving several messages & no had contacted me! I had called my mortgage company & they have told me ( F.Y.I., I have been dealing with them since January '09 it is now almost June) that my file has been closed & is no longer in review. I was also told that they had only contacted my mortgage company twce begining in April, which we started this in January! I then went ahead to contact People 1st financial to find that you had to leave a message. Which I left 5! I finally found a new phone # for them on the web [protected] and I finally had someone answer, only to tell me that my file was still in review. I wish I had looked this company up before I paid the $2.500.00 processing fee but I was anxious I do not want to loose my home! I hope that everyone that has had this problem with company will contact the Better Business Bureau because they need to be shut down! I am very angry to see that they have not only done this to me but to alot of other innocent people trying to keep their homes. I will still be waiting to see if anything comes of this & hopefully they can get my loan modified but I will keep on checking with my mortgage company!

I think we should all get together have one attorney and sue them for our money and for our suffering.

Any attorney willing to take on a case as ours it would be appreciated. Assuming you get paid when we win in court. All of us should not have to suffer like this and be ripped off like this. I feel bad for all of us. I've been dealing with this since july 2008. thank you

Go with a legitimate non-profit organization such as NACA to help you with your loan modification. I've been working with NACA and it takes a LONG time due to Loan servcicing companies dragging their feet but you will see results and never pay anything, except I think $35.00 to cover the initial credit report or something like that (check their site to details)

People First Financial made off with our &2500.00 after they advised us not to pay our mortgage for three months. We called every month to find out what is going on our case. When after three months we had a personnel visit from a mortgage realtor hired from our mortgage company, I called back to them and I first contact or counselor said that we were in jeopardy of losing there help because we were making it hard to get a loan modification. After President Obama had put his plan into place I was able to call my mortgage company up it took only 15 minutes to get our loan modified. So I called back to People first to get a refund and they said it would take about 6 - 7 weeks to get out refund but now we can't get them on the phone anymore. I guess we are going to have to contact the Attorney General's office of California in order to get our money back.

I had about the same problem, I was asked to pay the 2495 dollars for a modification, I checked wit Bank of America which before was Country Wide, and they did not even called them and they told me that they had their attorneys calling them, to make ti worst I complainned to th Better Business B. and they said the the commpany was right, and dropped my complainned, what I wonder is that if there is any body getting this people that not only estold a lot of money, but what is worst made a lot of people loose their home.

Rudy screwed me too, he better hope i never ever run into him. Same here, no call backs, no communication, very unprofessional. It was a scam all along the whole time. They never contacted my bank either. I payed 2500 bucks for our mod, our payment went down 100 lousy bucks a month from 2500 to 2400 and 30, 000 bucks was added to our principal. Now i cant modify again because of them. Taking advantage of people in dire straights? What the hell is that all about? I have a wife and 2 daughters and we are still struggling 3 years later because of this fool. One day Rudy will get whats coming to him, its called karma.
