On August 1st, 2024, I came into the drive thru behind only one car, I arrived at Popeyes at approximately 6:18 pm in the left side drive thru along with two cars in the right side. (I sent a text to my daughter when I got in line to ask what she wanted). At 6:30 I still had not spoken to anyone in the drive thru and the other two cars on the left was gone and a third car had placed an order as well in the right lane. They had all been serviced and had left by the time I decided to go in because I thought maybe the speaker in the drive thru did not work or something, although there was no sign. Another car was behind me. When I came in the lobby was empty and there was four people behind the counter with one of them on the drive thru although two of them were wearing headsets. The manager after a few minutes said that she would be with me in a second. When she came to the front I asked if the speaker was messed up in the left drive thru lane cause if the person said anything I did not hear them. She said rudely that the person on the drive thru was new and in training and she does not know if the speaker is out or not. I said that maybe that needs to be checked because I had sat there for a long time and said hello a couple of times with no answer. She took my order and did not ask me if I wanted any sauces at all. I did not notice I did not have any sauces till she brought my bag, and I looked in it while she got my four drinks. I ordered a family meal with four sides, she did not give me any plastic ware, straws, cup holder or sauce packets. I was so bothered by her rudeness thus far that took my food to the car and came back in for the sauce. When she finished giving me my food a couple came in. When I came back in she had not yet taken their order. When she came back towards the front I asked her, as she was right next to it, if she could give me some honey mustard packets. She told me that I had said something smart on the way out the door and that I was being rude and she is not giving me nothing. I told her I was not going to argue with her and can you just give me some honey mustard packets and some napkins, since she did not give me napkins, straws or a drink carrier. She refused and told me to wait till she took the couple's order. I told her I had been waiting long enough and that I would like the sauce packets now please. She waited on the couple then went to the back again. I still have not received the packets. Another lady came in after she gave the couple their food. I asked her again to give me my sauce packets. She waited on the lady and took her order. She said the napkins are right there and she pointed to them beside the straws but I just watched her put another couple and the lady's bag together and she gave them napkins, sauce, plastic ware and everything. I asked for the store number and the manager's name, I heard her say the store number but I did not hear her name. I asked her to repeat it and she said she already said it then started yelling at me in front of the entire store and when the drive thru clerk tried to give me some packets the manager took them out of their hands and told them not to give me nothing. I was asked if I wanted to order sauce packets. This is my first time coming to this location, so when I was walking to my car to take my food, I said that this should not be my experience the first time. The manager told me that the employees were not my slaves, and they don't work for me and then proceeded to tell me that if I did not choose to leave on my own, she was going to call the police. I asked if someone would give me some sauce, she told me that Wal-Mart was down the road, and I could get some there. She was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Claimed loss: My embarrassing exchange and my time she wasted being vindictive and making me wait longer for no reason other than the fact she was stressed and upset at the world.
Desired outcome: This manager should be fired or at the very least reprimanded for her outburst and the things she said to me in that lobby in front of customers and other employees. She was dead wrong and all she had to do was give me my sauce packets.
