Porsche unlawful business practice

To or Dear Simon Kuhnimhof, Vice President Customer Experience

or an Executive Officer who is in charge of Customer Satisfaction,

My name is Jieun Park. I visited the downtown LA Porsche dealer on August 28, 2019 and decided to purchase a Cayenne e-hybrid and pay in full. The only thing I asked the dealership was to do me one favor. I would issue two checks upfront, check # 101 of $30, 000 and a check #102 of $65, 861.93 respectively, and I asked them to deposit the second check on September 6, 2019 because I had a long vacation trip a few days later and needed time to transfer from my saving accounts to my checking account. And they agreed to my request.

They wrote down this agreement on their documents and even their general manager signed his initials on the document as indicated in the attached picture. However they deposited both checks right away and both checks were withdrawn from my checking account on August 30, 2019. I was totally embarrassed and had to redo my financial arrangement.

I don't know whether it was an inadvertent or intentional malicious action. The most important thing is that the dealer breached our mutually agreed contract. Porsche is one of the most prestigious car manufacturers with highest standard in the world and I believed Porsche dealers should also be held to the same prestigious standards and disciplines. I was very disappointed and felt that I would never purchase a Porsche even though I haven't driven my new car yet.

I believed this incident was a serious breach of contract. If my bank balance was too low for the second check to be cleared, I would have faced various financial consequences such as negative impact on credit score and overdraft fees along others. However, that would have been the most minimal aspect of the consequences. The most important result would have been the loss of the down payment from the breakdown of the deal.

I was liable for all the mistakes that were made by the Porsche dealer and no responsibility was taken by Porsche. They just gave me a typical apology about this and said that they didn't know how this happened and who deposited the check. I don't think they realize how serious this breach of contract is. With your expensive and prestigious cars, we expect high customer satisfaction and highest standards.

This could escalate to critical legal matter. I wish you investigate this matter and take the appropriate corresponding actions. You must show that you take pride in your high standards in customer care by taking the necessary internal management disciplinary action. It was the most distasteful car buying experience I have ever had and I do not wish this upon other future customers.

I appreciate your reading my letter.

Sincerely,

Jieun Park

Porsche 911 turbo s 2011

Was dealing with Jon Wasserman at Brahman Porsche for weeks.
We finally agreed on everything and was coming down the next day to buy the car and trade in my 550SL Mercedes that he agreed on the price.
The car, a 2011 911 Turbo has been on their site for about a month stating it is CPO and the 101 inspection had to be done.
Wasserman told me a few times it was a CPO car as the site bragged about.
I asked him Saturday 09/28/2019 to send me the CPO inspection report to verify it since he seemed shady all along changing his story.
He then tells me there was an error made and that the car was not a CPO.
I was shocked that I was going to buy it Sunday and he lied to me all along.
The car is still on their site stating it is a CPO and they will not take it down hoping someone will not ask about its verification.
I love Porsche and have owner a Carrrera 4 and then a Turbo which of course I regret selling.
This false practice, or call it for what it is lies gives your company a bad reputation as well as Brahman.
Jon Wasserman knew it was not a CPO and kept telling me it was.
The other question is why after it has gotten over 200 views Brahman has not changed the ad.

Wanted to let you know, hoping you care about your loyal customers.
You have the best cars out their and do not need deception by others to sell your cars.
Hope to hear from you and get Brahman, who will not change the ad for what the car really is, so someone who does not do their due diligence buys a car thinking it has a 2 year warranty until a problem occurs and they are told they got swindled.

Thank you for your time and hope you take my complaint seriously.

Just go to Brahman's website and look for the 2011 S Turbo and you will see I am telling the truth.
They are scam artists and give you a bad nam.

Porsche brake change service in porsche morocco

Hello,

I wish to make a complaint and a claim for reimbursement following a poorly made repair in Morocco for my porsche panamera registered in Morocco at number 91119-H-1 and with the following chassis number:
WP0ZZZ97ZJL176193.
Do you handle this type of claim?
It is a problem of overheated brake following sporty driving, but instead of changing the 4 discs and pads front and back, the experts in Casablanca have considered relevant to change the discs/pads front only, operation that I redid 3 times (every 2 months and 2000 € each time).
After this, It was only once at Porsche Marbella that the correct diagnosis was made and the change of the 4 disks / pads was done which solved the serious and dangerous braking issue that I had.
Thank you

Porsche transfer box needs replacement in porsche cayenne

I own a Porshe Cayanne bought in 2013 in Oman from the dealer Sata LLC. I have driven mere 71, 000 since then. Recently, the dealer told be me to replace the Transfer Box of the car as it was not working well. The transfer of gears on taking off is not smooth enough. They told me it will cost US 3, 000 after discount. On detailed search on net, I realized that Transfer Box issue seems to be a perennial problem with Porshe Cayannes manufactured in year 2012-14. There were quite a few complaints on the net. Clearly appears to be a manufacturing defect.

Given the information available on the net and that I have just done 71k kms to encounter this, it's unfair that I have to spend 3k US to fix a problem which clearly appears to be a very common issue with this model manufactured during that period.

I would really appreciate if this issue is taken up from your end and necessary arrangements are made to replace this. I understand that the warranty of my car has recently expired for which am ready to bear part of the cost but not the full cost of 3k US as its unfair on me.

My vehicle Chasis no. is WP1ZZZ92ZDLA11372

Looking forward to hear from you positively on this.

Porsche catastrophic failure steering hydraulics while driving-vw

I am contacting you on behalf of a friend, Premium customer of VW has both recently ( 6 months ago) a brand new and top of the line "Taureg R Line" from the dealership in Varna, Bulgaria.
Now he is on vacation in Greece and the car steering has stalled while driving ( which is a life-threatening catastrophic failure, but he managed to safely stop the car thanks to the fact that he is with strong hands. If it was his wife...the situation could be much worse) and all-electric systems have faults.
As far as I know, for the time being, the car was repatriated to a dealership near Lefkada, Greece, where he was told that there is a "Hydraulic Steering Pump Failure" and the part needs to be replaced but it can take more than 1-2 weeks, he has called to Porche Mobility, but he is not very "impressed" by their customer service, reaction, and assistance, so that's why he called me for support. Although he contacted the dealership and Porche mobility Nobody called him back to check if he needs something or whatever. My friend doesn't feel confident anymore driving the vehicle and is extremely disappointed with how Porche/VW customers are treated.

Porsche porsche macan faulty transfer box

I own a Porsche Macan with only 24500 on the odometer .

I felt a juddering whilst starting off from stop to low gear exhilaration. The Porsche garage in Malta said it's the transfer box and quoted me 3000 euro plus labor costs to change the transfer box.

I have asked them to look into it as with so little mileage on a quality car something like this should not happen .

I sent two emails to Porsche in Malta and have had no reply whatsoever.

I have also written 3 emails to Porsche in Germany explaining what has happened. Surprisingly they have not send me any sort of reply. Is this good service ?

It is obvious that it is a known fault as there are many complaints on the internet about the same issue.

I've owned BMW's before and never had such bad service .

Is there any one that can handle this complaint ?

Update by Michael C T
Aug 23, 2019 5:21 am EDT

Is is now over 1 month that I complained about a faulty transfer box on my Macan . Obviously a manufacturing fault as I have only 24500 km on the odometer.

Several emails to Porsche Germany and Malta including the person in charge of Macan's in Germany ( Mr Ben Weinberger ) and still no response . No response at all from Porsche in Malta and mainly automated replies from Porsche in Germany .

I've very very surprised with the lack of communication from supposedly a reputable company.

Research shows the transfer box is a common fault on the Macan and Porsche do not seem to care . As well as in my interest to get the problem resolved by Porsche, Porsche themselves should at least show some concern about this fault.

I have no option but to involve ECC involved

Porsche 2019 gt3rs hood issue

I own a 2019 GT3RS. The painted carbon fiber hood has a shadowing issue which was determined by a regional service rep to be a manufacturing issue. Porsche Germany sent a primed hood for replacement but didn't mention it must be paint matched. This process of painting a hood to "match" my car will devalue the vehicle. I asked as a solution to provide me with the less expensive exposed unpainted carbon hood to make this right so that my vehicle won't have to be painted. The unpainted hood sold by Suncoast Porsche retails for less than the primed hood sent from Porsche Germany which will require paint matching. Please help resolve this as I'm hitting a road block. If Porsche cannot make this manufacturing issue right without devaluing my vehicle, I will gladly sell it back to them.

Porsche porsche panamera hybrid

Dear Sirs,

I have been a Porsche client for many years, having bought my first car in 2001, a 996 Carrera 2 cabrio. In 2014, I bought a Panamera diesel and another Panamera diesel in 2015, exchanging this latter car to buy a Panamera 4 hybrid sport Turismo in July 2018, a car which is the subject of this letter. I bought this car at the Porsche showroom in Leiria, Portugal, brand new. On 11 May this year, when driving on the motorway, the car entered into safety mode. It was towed to Porsche in Leiria, and to date it is still being repaired. The date is now 11 June and the attempts at fixing this problem have all been unsuccessful, as can be seen in the e-mail from the engineer in charge of after-sales service which was sent to me, and which is attached to this e-mail.
This situation has left me extremely angry for several reasons: the fact that I have not been provided with a replacement car of the same level; the fact that Porsche Leiria is unable to give me a forecast of when my car will be ready, and in fact they don't even know what the problem is or the respective solution. I am paying a considerable sum of money for a car which I cannot use. It is unbelievable that Porsche did not immediately send a technician to see what is wrong. I consider that in this respect, the service has been of a very low level. A carof the level and cost of a Porsche Panamera, should as a minimum, have excellent service, with due attention and care for the client, and this has not happened. I am exceptionally disappointed with Porsche and there is still the uncertainty that my car will be properly repaired. We are talking here about a new car, bought from a registered representative. I would like you to tell me what I am supposed to think when a Porsche, which cost €135, 000, breaks down after 11 months; when nobody can give me a proper answer with respect to the problem; when there is no forecast date for the repair; when, even if it is repaired, I will have no guarantee that the same problem will not reoccur. I would like Porsche to give me a clear and fast reply, which I assumed would naturally be the case, given the good name your company has. However, none of this has happened.
I am extremely upset with this situation. I would be very grateful if you could look into this matter immediately and provide me with a real answer with regard to when I can expect my car back and provide assurance that this problem won't happen again.
Yours sincerely,

Francisco Carrilho de Vilhena

05/16/2019 - GDP / PAG responds to request measurements on the electric motor.
05/17/2019 - The respective measurements and the new Diagnostic Protocol
20/05/2019 - PIB / PAG request more measurements of the phases of the electric motor. They were made and sent on the same day
21/05/2019 - PIB / PAG request the replacement of the electric motor. This electric motor was ordered in Urgent.
05/27/2019 - Electric motor arrives at the CP Leiria.
05/28/2019 - CP Leiria informs the GDP / PAG that the vehicle will not start.
05/29/2019 - GDP / PAG indicates to try to charge the AT battery. If it is not possible to carry out this charging the PIB / PAG requests the replacement of the AT battery unit. That same day was requested via Urgent, which is expected to be delivered on 06/09/2019.

Porsche ac compressor

My Porsche Macan S 2017, Has a proximately 58, 000 miles on it I recently was told I need a new AC compressor, because the Freon is leaking out of the compressor itself. I am complaining because, I probably have less than 10, 000 miles of actual AC usage on this vehicle I seldom ever use the AC, and usually on Friday evenings when I have a date, otherwise I never use the AC, instead I retract my roof and enjoy that very much I love my Porsche ! But, I do not think that this AC compressor should be going out at such an early stage, as I have described above The vehicle is out of warranty and apparently an estimate of around $4000 to replace the AC compressor was given to me The real complaint here is, that I thought Porsche was rated the number one vehicle in the world, as far as dependability Unfortunately, it seems that right after the vehicle reached the 50, 000 mile mark, which is when the warranty expired, the vehicle is falling apart ! I hate saying that, as I love the vehicle and the way it drives ! Can you help me with this issue, by covering the cost of repair of this AC compressor, as if it was under warranty I know you only have my word that there is only less than 10, 000 miles of actual AC use on the vehicle, but that is the truth, and that should not be taking place on a vehicle of this caliber, and in the $100, 000 price range, in my case Please help ! Sincerely, Gary Parker I am retired and the cost of this repair is a hardship upon me for sure !

Porsche 2013 boxster

Dear Customer Service Representative, My name is Saied Taheri and I am a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech ([protected]@vt.edu). I teach Tire Mechanics and Automotive Engineering and in the past I have held jobs at Ford, Goodyear, TRW, etc. as a scientist and as someone with the ability to test vehicles. I have attended several race schools and am an enthusiast of sport cars. I love Porsches and have been driving them for a long time. Last year in June, I purchased a used 2013 Porsche Boxster from Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro NC, USA. Unfortunately, I traded in my 2002 Porsche Boxster and got this newer model. I have been very dissatisfied with this used car. I have taken it to Porsche service 3 times and they have not fixed the car (not sure if it is fixable). The engine leaves a lot of residues in the tailpipe and smells really bad in the morning when it is cold. As it warms up, it does not smell bad. The Porsche service shops at two locations close to me have given me the run around. I have had the car test drive by a friend of mine who works at TRD and he agrees as well that the engine is not tuned properly. At 44000, when the service light came on, I had the car fully serviced by the same shop in Greensboro. However, it was useless. Now, I am turning in to you for help. I appreciate your time in taking care of this. As a professor of Automotive Engineering, I always talk about my good experience with Porsche and use it as an example in my classes. I hope you can help me. I can send you a video of CO2 levels (digital read outs) in my garage when this car is running.

Thank you,
Saied

Porsche wh70 emissions service action and oil leak repair

My 2013 Porsche Cayenne Diesel (VIN: WP1AF2A2XDLA37137) was brought to Porsche of Huntington in New York for the WH70 Emissions Service action. The Service department indicated that there was an oil leak which required the engine to be removed from the car to allow the repair.
After I picked up the Cayenne, there has been a smell of fumes in the car. On two recent trips I took since the repair, two of my passengers got very sick soon after getting in the Cayenne, requiring me to stop and to let them out of the car so that they could feel better. After we resumed the trip, my passengers soon started to feel sick again and we had to keep the windows open till we got to our destination. I now realize that the various headaches I have had after driving the car were also due to the fumes I have been breathing in this automobile. I am now deathly afraid to drive this Cayenne.
Ever since the initial Diesel recall, my Porsche Cayenne Diesel has not been working correctly (catalytic converter had to be replaced twice, diesel recall and WH70 recall) and is now extremely dangerous to drive.
I am about to bring the car back to Porsche of Huntington to see if they can find the cause of the fumes. However, I no longer trust your automobile and that it will ever work properly, especially after almost killing my passengers and me.
As a long time owner of Porsche automobiles (I own a 2006 Porsche 911 which I also bought new from Porsche), I am frankly amazed that a Porsche automobile would put my life and the life of my passengers in great danger.
My faith in your brand has been shaken to the core and I am questionning whether I should abandon your brand forever.
Please contact me as soon as possible so that I can understand what my options are with this Cayenne Diesel as I absolutely do not trust this model car anymore!
Regards,
Gerard Paret

Porsche caymen gts 2015

Dear porsche customer service,,

I'm very happy to have a porsche car because its the best choice ever in my life, until I had a problem on november 2018,
We had a hard rainy day on that month in kuwait and my car was full of water while it was parked in front of my house and I was sleeping,

later, I bring the car to porsche in kuwait on 11 of November 2018, they said most of the wires are damaged because of the water and need to be changed and they need like 1 month for the items to be arrived on December, I gave them the approvment to order and fix the car,

my car is porsche caymen gts 2015, its still under the warranty until june 2019,
they said what happened is not under the warranty so I have to pay for this and also not possible to give me a replacement car!
I agreed to pay something around 5000 kuwaiti dinar!..

After 1 month they told me that I have to wait more longer until February because there is an item is not available anywhere even in Germany and they have to create a new one so wait until february!

With all of this they didn't give me a replacement car from 11 of November 2018 until February 2019 I was waiting and I rented a car by myself for 3 months and I paid alot for the rented car!

Not finally, they called me on the first week of February to tell me that all the items are arrived and they need one week to work on the car, I was happy to hear that after 3 months of waiting.

But the big problem now is after few days of that call they called me again to say that the important item is not the right piece and there is a missing wires!
So they have to order and create another one for the second time!
and wait until March 17 2019!
In that moment I was very upset!
And finally they gave me a replacement car after 4 months of waiting on march 2019.

Today is 15 of april 2019 I'm calling them to ask what happened since march 17 the items didn't arrive! Thats what they told me last time and its the second time to order the same piece!
They said no date is showing right now about when they will arrive!

(Now my car since 11 of November 2018 until 11 of April 2019 it completed more than 5 months!)

The other problem is that now my car didn't be touched for 5 months and with all of that, until now no news about when the wires will be arrived!

And even whenever I received my car of course I have to change some pieces like tires and do a liquidation because no one touched or drive it for 5 months!

Please help me because im very upset right now I dont feel I want my car anymore what happened is too hard on me I can't handle it any more!

And thank you for your time

Porsche porsche panamera gts

I am writing to complain about the terrible customer service in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I have brought my car to the service center for regular maintenance and also asked for the AC to be checked since it was working but not very powerful. I was informed that after checking it, they broke it and a part is now required. The total repair period will come up to 3 weeks. I asked for a replacement vehicle as per the laws and regulation in Saudi and they refused. The exact response given was "I don't have any cars available, do you expect me to go out and buy a new car just for you?". I find this very insulting. This is the second time that this happened and I am quite fed up. I keep calling the representative but he is no longer answering or returning my calls. This is supposed to be a world leading brand with matching product and service levels. Unfortunately, the reality is very different. I don't know if this complaint will even be followed up on but I'm doing my part by writing to you and also by filing a complaint with the Ministry Of Commerce in Saudi.

To my SHOCK, they damaged my car, inside and outside of my car. I instantly informed Donavon from service department, he instructed me to take photos of all the damage.
Also a week later, I collected my Porsche Carrera 996.
Only for find I have major engine parts missing.
Including a complete cylinder head and mixed engine parts from another car.
I spoke to Lious English from service department about this major issue.
He stated we will find all items missing.
After many exhausting phone calls
Porsche Center Melbourne REFUSE TO even talk to me, or except my phone calls
This sitiation has left me no choice, but to commence legal action.
I would like to resolve this major issue, before the tribunal date 08/04/2019 here in Melbourne Australia.
