The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have purchased cars from Manheim Export Trader and Auction Export auction platforms and exported to Nigeria without problems. I started receiving unsolicited mails from Quality Assurance Auctions late 2014 offering cheap cars at competitive shipping rates to Nigeria but I did not give it any serious attention until early January 2015.
I registered on the portal and monitored offerings to benchmark prices with other auctions and their appears quite reasonable. I soon identified a salvage rebuilt 2014 Toyota Highlander VIN 5TDJKRFH7ES012294 for which I placed a bid of $18, 764.00 which was later approved as a winning bid. I was contacted few days later by email and phone that I should make payment to enable them secure the car. I was contacted severally by phone via +[protected], +[protected] and +[protected] and e-mails via support@qaauctions.com, karen@qaauctions.com, arthur@qaauctions.com and alex@qaauctions.com.
I ran an independent VIN check on the car and also requested for Car Fax on the car but took several days before they could send one though the VIN check indicated the car as an insurance write off with a New York State MV907A title. I requested for an invoice on the amount due and account details into which I transferred a total of Nineteen thousand eight hundred and eighty five dollars (US$ 19, 885.00) covering both cost of the car and shipping rate to Nigeria as indicated on the invoice (copy attached). Destination account details as follows:
Quality Assurance Auctions Inc, .
Bank of America, 1415 Avenue Z, Brooklyn NY 11235
Account Number: [protected]
(Copy of telex wire transfer included)
A few days later, I received an e-mail confirming receipt of the funds and stated that the car is being transported to the port for customs inspection and onward shipment to Nigeria. Thereafter, all telephone contacts to the designated numbers were never picked or returned but diverted to voice mails. Similarly, e-mails never got replied or feedback on the status of shipment. Further investigation on the internet revealed negative reviews on [redacted].com, nairaland.com and scamreport.com against Alex Brown Rudsky the President of the auction and his associates.
I will appreciate your intervention to secure a refund of my hard earned money and legal sanction on this fraudulent business to safe guard other unsuspecting members of the public from falling victim. More importantly, this practice is capable of tarnishing the image of other legitimate US based businesses seeking to expand their customer based to Africa and rest of the world.
Please contact Jonathan Stratton U.S attorney and provide him with all the proof of payment and supporting documents let him know this was Alex Rudsky who sabotaged GSA Auctions here is his information hope this helps Jonathan.Stratton@usdoj.gov

I asked a friend to buy a toyota camry from QA auction in November 2014 and have it shipped to Ghana. After transferring funds (of $11, 200) to their accounts, he was told that the car will be shipped to Ghana in 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, when he received no news of the whereabout of the camry, he called their office. He also wrote several emails. None of them have been returned.
When my friend visited Ghana in March, we both called QA auction on phone. Alex picked up but quickly put us on hold when we gave him details of the camry for a check up through their files. He never reconnected us and when our credits run out, the call cut. Since then, I have tried unsuccessfully to reach Alex. I have written twice to him and his support staff but no reply has been given to my email.
Kindly help me retrieve my money from this fraudster. I will gladly provide details of the transaction if this will be necessary.

Please my name is Zakaria Abukari. I am a Ghanaian staying in the United States. I was doing car auction business with Alex Rudsky and his quality Assurance auctions. I bought 3 cars; 2 Toyota rav4s and a dodge avenger from him which was delivered without any problems. In December 2014 I bought a 2014 Toyota camry from him and uptil now he hasn't delivered the car and has stopped send me updates and picking my calls. The car costs $10, 500. I have all correspondence from him including the invoice and my payment slips. The people I was dealing with in addition to Alex Rudsky were, Beth White and Karen.
I have sent lots of emails messages, text messages and phone calls to no avail.

On may 29, 2015 I purchased a 2013 Honda CRV from Quality assurance. They sent me the invoice and I wired them the money. That was 3 months ago this week. Since then, I have been in contact with them on through email and they say that the car I purchased was, in fact, not available. Since then they have promised to send back my money; they`ve promised to send me another car; they`ve asked if they could pay me back @ $500. a month. I told them that that I wanted my money just like I sent it to them in one lump sum. As of today, there is no resolution. Can you help me?
Thank you,
Billy Crossley

I also purchased a Jeep wrangler from them in FEB 2015, they request I make the payment by Bank of America of which I wired a total of $11400 to their account. I have since then had no calls or emails from QA auction. I have reported it to the FBI and they had promised to close down their website and again they are working to find out where the funds went from their Bank of America. If theres anything you can do as well to assist the FBI please do as I will happy to get my monies back.

Please note that issues are dating back to 2015. niko @salvage world is a direct competior that has his own slew of issues he should concentrate on. in a decade + in business its upsetting to have any of the resolved issues posted online.
You guys are scammers
I received an unsolicited email from QA Auctions about salvage cars that are incredibly cheap. I was ready to commit and I thought to check online first. Surely, your reputation precedes you!
QA Auctions, i have wired my payment to you 3 weeks ago and you have stopped responding to my emails and phone calls. Should i be concerned after reading these complaints?
Have you received anything sir cause I also sent them payment
Nothing to date. And they refuse to answer phone calls or emails.
I have since lodged a complaint with the FBI and FTC. I was hoping this could be resolved simply but they have left me no choice. I'm not giving up!
They have since closed the bank account I wired the payment to. Fraudsters.
@autoF we paid for 2 cars in February but they've stopped taking our calls and responding to our emails too. We would like to lodge a complaint with the FBI and FCT too, how do we go about it please?
Thank you for letting me know I might have to do the same please let me know if you reach them thank you
Absolutely horrible customer service, but really nice cars. Found the car, paid for the car and paid for shipping. Two days later (Saturday Morning) I try to log in to check the status of the car I had paid for and my account was suspended. I tried to call but no one could help until Monday morning. Because of this the car cannot ship until it is resolved. The card I had opened the account with the year before had expired and a new card was sent to me etc.. All of the above items were paid for with the new card, I now had over $7k charged to my card and which they had no problem charging me but were cautious because a new card had been used. They informed me the Accounting department had flagged my account and placed an additional fee because of this ($200) yet I could not talk directly with them. Over the next four days I called 6 different times, sent multiple emails with pics of the card and ID and talked to a different person each time all saying slightly different stories on what was going on. I was basically told it was being done to protect me? Holding my money and the car and adding additional fees does not protect me in anyway. If they had said they did not charge the card it would have been at least somewhat reasonable. After one week of them having the $7k and not allowing the car to ship I ask for either my money back or preferably ship the car (which is paid in full). They said they could not refund my money. About an hour later I received an email that the car was being relisted. I call again and find out they could refund the card but I would need to pay again by bank wire transfer. Over one week later I was able get the wire cleared from my bank. The process cost me several hundred dollars and hours of my valuable time on the phone. I would be very cautious of this companies policies and realize they do what they want and will not allow you to talk to the people making the decisions.
In the end the car that I received was even better than I had expected... and the shipping time was quicker than with other companies I have purchased cars from... so while I am very reluctant to do business with them again, if I find the right car I will do all of my due diligence before hand.

I bought car number GE8937-15, Aveo LT in 2015 believing that I may have nothing doing with Abossey Okai, a market for second hand car spare parts dealers in Accra. The car has so far made 36, 000 + KM, evidence of little use of the car.
About a month or so ago, the alternator charging system became faulty so I took it to your Spintext garage for repairs. Your company failed to rectify the fault after some days. I got it fixed by way side mechanic. The side glass for the front door also dropped and could not roll up . I sent it to the garage and they got it repaired. The glass to the back door has also dropped and can not roll up . My wife brought it today 06/05/2021 and spent almost the whole day at your Spintext garage only to be told at the close of the day that the part is not available . I wish they had checked it up to enable her agree to wait or go and deal with her business . This was never the case. The car is predominantly used to pick kids to and from school, a distance of less than 3km away from my bungalow. My beef is that, I find it unsatisfactory for the car to start developing these faults amidst minimal and non- rigorous usage . I genuinely think your company needs this feedback going forward . I have never liked dealing with wayside mechanics the reason why I strive for new cars . I don’t have this experience with my other cars from different companies. Unfortunately, I may have to rely on the wayside mechanic to fix the roller.
I paid for Toyota Highlander 2021 model in April 2022 advertised on Salvage King. com website. Invoice and receipt were issued to me. They promised to deliver the car to Lagos Nigeria. The suv was never delivered till date. Alex Rudsky is big time scammer that must pay for his crime soon. It's a matter of time
Hello, some research company is out deceiving people that when we fill a Toyota survey, we will get rewarded. But they trick us into spread the survey to many people on WhatsApp but we never get any reward.
They will say send the survey to five WhatsApp groups and get the reward. After you have done that, they now trick you into sending it to many more people until a bar is full. The bar never gets full because at some point they keep telling you "message not delivered" until you get tired and quit.
This is a deliberate trick to deceive people into filling the survey form and also spreading it to other.
We shall expose you guys.
I bided & worn a vehicle at $14, 000, only for auction export to send me mail after 24hrs that the car will not be released or soled to me because the owner refuse to accept the winning price.
This repeated three times with different cars.
On the fourth time I bided for another car, checked vehicle history report which I normally do & it was clearly stated by auction export as "VEHICLE STARTS, RUN AND DRIVE", I then bided and worn the bid at $16, 808 which I paid for, waiting for my vehicle to be shipped, only for auction export to mail me again that the vehicle is not starting, I have to pay for towing.
I rejected the vehicle quoting the status of the vehicle auction export previously presented before I purchased the car. They replied that their inspector made mistake at the inspection site & got that result.
In conclusion, Auction export ended up removing about $1, 600 extra for inland freight & ocean freight because the vehicle could not start then shipped the vehicle to me. Then when I received the vehicle, I saw the engine block & top cylinder was completely broken which I must to spend upto $10, 000 to buy another engine.
Please stay a way from them, they have so much politics in their business and they aren't truthful and open at all.
Hello,
I bought a 2016 Highlander from Quality Assurance Auction for $14, 000.00 in June, 2021 and dealt with a guy who claimed he's Eric and another lady called Jennifer. And also a 2020 Toyota Camry in July for $29, 000.00.
After about two weeks of the first purchase Jennifer sent me a Dock Receipt which I used to try and track the car which they claimed was delivered to Sallaum Lines. And I found out that the car was never delivered to the Port,
I sent both of them a message and they refused to respond. They have collected a Total of $43, 000.00 and disappeared into thin air. These guys are a bunch of Scammers

Complaints may start a process leading to product returns, recalls, lawsuits, or other costly activities that affect a company’s reputation. The company with an established capability to deliver a favorable customer experience will be one that customers use repeatedly and one that outperforms its competition.
Additionally, customer and consumer complaints should be differentiated and addressed separately. Customers have different problems than consumers and have different response urgencies. If the two are simply grouped together, it is a great deal more difficult to provide timely resolutions and determine trends for which long-term solutions can then be provided. Each complaint, whether consumer or customer, is a test of a company’s management system ranging from public relations to continuous improvement. The goal for all is to turn complainants into loyal, satisfied users. So, what are some practical solutions?
Auditor's Soapbox
Having a legitimate complaint resolved quickly seems to be a thing of the past. Just sending a form letter with a coupon is not sufficient. Is this lack of timely resolution due to potential liability of admitting guilt and/or due to internet publicity? Companies standing behind their product or service by providing timely resolution are the companies to do business with, especially with your supply chain.
A first step is making it easy for consumers and customers to notify you of a problem; by phone (through a toll-free number) or the Internet, adequately staffed 24/7 by employees who have the authority to rectify a problem. These people must be trained to gather key information and determine appropriate follow-up action, while also identifying scammers, product misuse, and/or abuse. Suppressing negativity with instant, sincere, and positive visibility will minimize most complaint escalation. This activity should not be viewed as an expense without an understanding of the impact toward customer/consumer loyalty.
Another practical solution is to test the complaint-handling process periodically. Having an internal or third-party individual test the system with a fabricated customer and/or consumer problem common to each category will help to assure the overall integrity of the program. Another solution is to empower key customer and consumer front-line employees with a compensation level intended to resolve complaints immediately; rectifying obvious problems while not admitting fault.

I have had, and am currently still facing huge issues using peddle and Copart. Car Sellers beware. First, I should point out that peddle everywhere advertises how they pay CASH, focus on the word cash, not check, for your car. Next, it wasn’t peddle buying my car, it was a contracted company called Copart, and it is they who would be paying for my car. Despite reading all the horrible reviews on BBB I decided to give it a try and trust Peddle, and Copart. Well, for starters they were scheduled to meet me from 1-5pm the other day and they just never showed, never called, nothing. I called Copart the next day and was assured a driver was scheduled to come inspect and pick up my car. The driver finally called and said he was on his way he would meet me there in 30 minutes. So, I left work to meet him at exactly 30 minutes time only to call him back and be told Copart sent him on another job that I would have to wait another half hour for him to get there. So unprofessional I don’t know how Copart is in business. The driver finally gets there. Grabs my title and starts writing on my car title ….! Are you kidding me ? You don’t just grab and start marking a document like that. Copart apparently does not pay in cash, ok fine. They pay in numerous checks. How sketch is that ? After this guy starts bragging about how much money copart has and assuring me that the checks he is giving me, 4 in total, to pay for my car; he assures me the checks are good and I will have no trouble. The checks were drawn on Bank of America and of course they charge a fee of $8 per check to cash and this idiot just gave me 4 checks so I lose $32 right there, but it gets better. Turns out when I went to cash the checks, these checks are invalid and I can’t cash them yet. Excuse me ? What a scam. Im pressured to sign over my title to my car and be handed bogus checks that I can’t even cash that same day? That’s FRAUD to me. All I know is Copart has my car and title and I have 4 checks Bank of America wouldn’t cash. So….Now What ?
If it's too good to be true, then ...
Given the courteous sales agent that assisted whenever I had a question on the bidding process, I changed my mind in regards to this company. They are not a scam, but a casino: the house always wins.
I registered out of curiosity, thinking I'll take a look. What was I thinking.
As my European counterpart, I made a decent deposit through Skrill by start of 2019.
I was aware on the fees (don't remember the actual percentage they advertised when I deposited), but I never thought will end up asking money back, as I was set to buy a car: Ford Fusion (Mondeo in Europe).
Naively made another deposit, this time through Vogue. At this point, did not check on the fees, as I thought it's the same.
Why didn't I get the car, you ask:
All cars I was bidding on were strangely being removed from auction, every single time I entered a BID.
One day, noticing that, I started placing bids on cars I did not even want and the cars were being withdrawn one after the other, though there was time left for auction.
"bid" - email from QA :"we are sorry the car is no longer available, but we have others"
"bid" on another car - email from QA: "we are sorry, the car ...".
You get the picture.
Even stranger is that for some cars, there was no offer/BID made, and as soon as I was bidding, someone instantly chipped above. Over and over.
I honestly tried bidding just so I can get one car and prove myself I was wrong about them, but it made me feel like playing one of those claw machines.
So I reached the moment to get my amount back. I have to pay QA the following:
- 3.8% to get back the deposit I made through Skrill. I never paid when I made the deposit, so the fee belongs to QA, despite them telling me "it's a transaction fee". They must have a pretty bad agreement with Skrill, if regular customers don't pay for transactions, but their company does.
-3.8% + 35 USD (?!) to get back the deposit I made through Vogue, though I did not paid when I made the deposit.
Will most likely have to pay again when withdrawing from Skrill and Vogue accounts back to my credit card.
I see Morten only had to pay 1.8% to QA, he should feel blessed.
To start with, if you are wondering what exactly is meant by a ‘salvage car’, think about the car that you lost or that got stolen. Ever wondered what might have happened to it after that? Well chances are that they got sold away as ‘salvage cars’. These are also vehicles belonging to companies like insurance companies that often buy used cars for selling them at profits.
Here is a list of considerations you might take into account before making a salvage car purchase:
1 - The Background of the vehicle.
In most of the cases vehicles auctioned by the auto insurance companies, i.e. salvage cars are the ones that were reported as damaged, lost or stolen. In case of certain cars the owner gets the insurance money, and if the vehicle is recovered later, the insurance company gets to sell it away to recover some of the money paid to the owner.
2 - The salvage car auction.
One of the common ways of salvage car purchase is by auction. Dealers are the ones who conduct these car auctions, where cars from the insurance companies are auctioned. Often at the salvage auctions, the auction holder or the dealer first purchases these insurance company cars at much lower rates to finally sell them away to the general public at profits. The bidders at these auctions usually consist of car dealers and enthusiasts, besides others, hoping to buy inexpensive cars.
3 - Junkyards and salvage yards.
These are other places to buy salvage cars. Many a times it is seen that after a car has been recovered after say a theft and it is not in a position to be repaired well enough for a profitable sale. These are the cars that have very little scrap value. Such cars are usually sold at junkyards in parts instead of a complete whole.
4 - Title of the car in case of salvage car USA and other countries.
When you buy a salvage car, it does not necessarily imply that you get the rightful title of the car with it too. This does not mean that buying a salvage car is illegal, but it does mean that you have to make an extra effort to secure a guarantee of the rightful title. In case of most states, a sales receipt copy along with the VIN number of the vehicle is needed to ensure that the owner gets a legitimate title. So check these factors to secure the rightful legal ownership of your vehicle.
5 - Buyer Warning.
There is no guarantee at all that the story you were told about the salvage car was true, and you can thus never anticipate its future performance accordingly. For instance, you might have been told a story about how the car just managed to sustain a minor damage by water, when actually the car had been caught in severe flood. The ‘small electrical’ problems that you were warned about might just actually mean that it requires a complete change in the electrical system. Thus, get your car thoroughly examined.
Not too good not to bad, there were some hidden fees that was not seen. The supports people pickup right away but do not follow up. Online customer service uses copy and paste from QA instead of answering the actual question. Now I know enough to avoid all the frustration. For a first timer it was a nightmare. I asked for a transportation quote which I never revived. I called 3 times to get my storage fee to find out the agent she were very busy to give her more time to find out how much it was, and indeed I had to call 2hrs prior to pickup time the next day. I find it off and the customer support folks need a little word of encouragement or a raise, there was no dedication or a sense to help me. Last rep under the name Celeste was very helpful, she told me the storage fee right away and took the payment.
I have won two auctions from this site…
I have won two auctions from this site only to be contacted and made to either up my bid or offer a counter offer. Which is usually close to what you would pay for the vehicle in an open market through actual car dealer. If the vehicle has a reserve it should be disclosed at the time of bidding by the auction. If not it's a waste of your time and a hold on your credit card which means you can't bid on anything else for the entire back and forth process and until your deposit is credited back to your account. Total waste of time use copart instead. Funny enough the car was listed there too(verified via vin)
Everyone that quotes me was a scammer using someone else's company name or the name of a dissolved business. Once you've selected a quote, yahoo adds 10% to you and to them. There are no checks, no assurances and scammers with tons of negative reviews revealing they aren't a real company yet the site isn't taking them off the site.
Additionally, the app and website are poor to navigate, you are not permitted to have a proper conversation of any kind with the shipper before you hand over hundreds of pounds and you wonder if the website is screwing you as much as the scammers. Avoid at all cost. Got a cheaper quote in the end from a legitimate local haulage company with amazing credentials and no commission!
I sent a detailed e-mail to this company over 4 weeks ago regarding a vehicle I purchased. I need the title. The only response I got was an automated e-mail stating they would get back with me within 24 hours. I have called their hotline and left messages still no response. It looks like they respond pretty quick to the reviews. It should be a lot simpler than this.

It takes way too long for you to release the pickup info ect.. I submitted a wire transfer at 10am and was told the release info will not be available until after 3. I had a transport company ready to pick it up today but they can not wait until after 3. So now I have to wait until next week where I will undoubtedly end up with storage fees.
SOLD ME A TRUCK THAT WAS LISTED AS "REPARIABLE" UPON ARRIVAL AT MY BODY SHOP I WAS TOLD BY THE OWNER THE TRUCK WAS NOT REPAIRABLE AND HAS A BENT FRAME, AND BENT CABIN.
Given to short a time to transfer payment. I was only given hours on a buy now purchase. I work so needed 2 days to get payment to your company. Ended up sending a wire transfer. I received documents 5:30 pm Central time and said that I had until 4 PM eastern the next day this is less than 24 hours to get payment through. The 10 am auction close time shouldn't effect the Monday payment when I sent wire transfer Friday afternoon Central time.
I was scammed by Alexander Rudsky alias Eric and a Jessica in the sum of $70,000.00 from November 2021 to March 2022.
All cars purchased through Salvage-king weren’t delivered. A painstaking investigation gave us his through identity.
We will get him. He can keep running, but he can’t hide.

Salvage King and Quality Assurance Auctions are run by the same person according to sunbiz. They are now doing business under the name quality assurance autos and claiming to be in Texas. The website is QAAUTOS.com
Please DO NOT SEND your hard earned money to these people. You will never get your car. They must be stopped. They stole over $100,000 from my uncle and he is working with the authorities to put the owner of these companies in prison. The FBI is aware. It's all FRAUD. They are also being investigated for tax fraud by the IRS. You can google the owner Alex Rudsky and see his mugshot online. If anyone else has had their money stolen by those websites please contact the authorities.
