This company has no data to offer. After going as far as I could with a free site, I signed up for this and paid $29,95. I cannot even find records on people like my late father for whom I have all relevant dates. What a rip-off, I e-mailed them and tried to cancel my membership and got nothing but an e-mail back promising further useless help.-
Total rip off - does anyone know how to contact this group to complain.
This site is 100% garbage. Do not waste your money. I've gotten more information for free on the internet.
I purchased this website also and they charged my card 2 times and there is noway toget my money back or nothing ... There is no way to contact these people i cant even get anywhere with tthe better busness bureau .
A total ripp off,and they have the nerve to ask for more money ,on several diffrent records. They do not deliver. I am still looking for some realibal , I need to find some records, some documented information. I also think they need to refund everyones money, and not be allowed to advertise.
Curtis Dennett,
I havent got the email that i sent or received, have deleted.
I bought with Visa and also the fact i used the term i will sue you..they soon refund me my money. But i was quick i noticed it was a scam i did notify the bank, watchdog in my country(England)so i did it quickly and also said i was going to use the newspaper .I sent my email over to the finace company and asked what were they doing to protect us.
That was it!
Good luck Claud

what in gods name is U S A doing about recordarea.com how many more complaints do you need to act on this scam
i am from wales Great Britain i have just paid for their services to find info on my mothers death and my farthers death only to find i cannot acces any information
i ALWAYS THOUGHT U S A WAS A VERY CLEVER COUNTRY and that goverment would of been able to act on these people or things as they have no heart obviously, to stop this scam before they rob anyone else.
obviously Great Britain is much more up on scams maybe they could contact our consumer services and learn somthing.
A VERY ANNOYED DOREEN JONES
I have a deduction of $42.59 posted on my account on 9/25/08. I have NOT requested this service. I will need to have that amount put back into my account, or will run this concern through my bank.
I tried using this site. Can't retrieve information all ready in the phone book let alone information I know. Cannot find the people selling this product thru their website - page is not available. On the serches I tried my country is not even listed and I live in Canada. Called the Visa people and I now have to battle it out with Clickbank and pray I get my money back. I signed up for one year and these "people" signed me up for 5 years. Stay away Stay away Stay away Stay away...
I also purchased from recordsarea.com and have yet to even find a site to login. It has been almost two weeks since I was promised "instant access to records" and still getting the run around. My biggest concern is, there are complaints on this company all the way back to 2007. How and why have they been allowed to falsely advertise and scam people for so long?
paid to check drivers lic and server always down
recordsarea.com sucks
Paid 29.99 for nothing crap like this pisses me off VIP Unlimited
search yeah right, then you want to find out more info pay more money. What a scam then they tell you its all in the terms and conditions so you don"t get your money back, hope the get caught
I too fell for this blatant fraud. Luckily I didn't pay out too much money but none of the so called information was relevant and when I wrote asking for my money back I received a couple of placatory e-mails but no refund was forthcoming. When I tried to give it another go I found that my password wasn't accepted so contacted Password Retrievals - received activation code etc. but now find I am unable to access the site. How is it that this company is allowed to get away with it - all the ancestry, genealology magazines should carry warnings so that any other poor suckers aren't taken in.
I payed this so called records search company through my credit card and to find out later that you cannot access the website. They took money from me that I could have used at a legitimate place on line. They should not let people do this on line or any where else. They probably are getting rich doing this and don't even have to work at it. I think they should return all the money they have stolen this way and be prosecuted too.
Last week, I joined Recordsarea thinking that it would help me find some lost relatives. There were no searches found on anyone including myself or it would send me to another site that required more money. I could not find a number so I called Click bank, which is affiliated with Recordsarea along with a lot of other companies, I've found out. Click bank told me they would reimburse my 29.95, this was on 2-19-09 but at my request, they have still not sent a confirmation email.
In the meantime, I had another 29.95 taken out of my bank acct from a place called FitFactory based in Nevada. I finally found out a number for them, I'm not sure if they are affiliated with Recordsarea but I have a feeling they are as they seemed to know quite a bit about this whole mess It seems to me that they are all in on the same scam. But no one will send an email stating that the money will be reimbursed, amazing!
I'm on a fixed income and this has been very stressful for me and I was relieved to find some place like this to report this scam. I hope we all get our money back and something is done to these thieves.
I bought the minimum membersip yesterday. Tried to obtain two death certificates. I have very specific dates and names. "We have no record." It took me two hours to realize that I have been scamed. I can't find a telephone, e-mail, or street address. I want my money back. When I find the essential information, I'll complain to the FTC in Washington. And Google is going to hear from me for doing business with this outfit.
Have today purchased access to records.com. Impossible for me (A computer semi - literate) to access.
This is one useless site and is certainly a ripoff. After paying the $29.95 and logging on, it only took one minute to see that no information was available. Only information that I have entered on free sites was found. Please don't waste your money!
I agree with the "it's a rip off complaint" . I paid $39.95 to look up a marriage license. The only information that came back was "no record of whatever name/info I searched. I put all the information for my own marriage license in and it came back with "no record for scott. The free sites give more information than this "rip off site".
This on line company charged my credit card for $29.95 and can't produce a single death record fact that I know to be true. In fact they can't produce any facts that they claim they can do!
This web site offers no information whatsoever for the price. I cannot reach anyone to get my money back.
SUCH A SCAM! BEWARE, YOU PAY YOUR MONEY AND WHEN YOU FIND OUT YOU CAN'T USE THE SITE THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE FOR PROBLEMS. THEY GOT OUR MONEY AND DON'T CARE.
Paid money to find records and there was nothing there couldn't even find any records on myself. Come to find out it is a scam, these people need to be found and put in prison. Don"t know any address or phone # or what state they reside in.
Signed up for their best data base information; trying to find some ancestry info. on my late grandfather. According to support@recordsarea.com, he, my brothers in laws, none of my adult children or my wife & I ever existed. Totally disappointed with their service at best, and out my $39.95 to enroll.
Signed up for this internet search of people, genealogy info, deaths, marriages, etc. I spent 30 minute searching and found nothing. Even things I knew, as my own husband's name. Can't find a place to complain to the company itself. Can't find an address or phone number for them either. Pretty stupid of me isn't it!
What a complete waste of 29.95 US. I wish I had seen all the reports on how this company is a complete fraud before I signed up. There should be some sort of penalty or at least the return of all the money to all of those people, like myself who were unfortunate enought to waste their money on such a complete scam!
Very angry!
I am researching ancestry - came upon website advertising access to records / genealogy, etc. - paid $29.97 and cannot access site. After I log in it takes me to an "OOPS" we cannot find the website you are searching for - try again" page.
Very frustrating - very wrong.
registered and paid 39.95, unlimited access one time charge. This was done thru a site called clickbank.com. (they took info, got confirmation #, etc...BUT
CANNOT ACCESS SITE, WILL NOT LET ME LOG IN, TRIED MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO GET TO SITE, ALWAYS RECIEVE "ERROR, PAGE NOT ACCESSIBLE" huh...I JUST PAID FOR SERVICE. you took my money real fast. where are the records promised. I want a total refund.
I purchased on this web sight what i thought was access to all public records. every time that I look for something, I am told there are no records available. I have ask for a refund with no response. How many people are they going to rip off before somebody does something? Please tell me what to do and how to stop this scam.
This is the biggest scam I have seen. Paid 15.99 and can't get on. I had better get a refund or else. Nothing had better be charged further to my card either.
my complaint is the same as other comments. you pay the fee for your search and then access is not granted. you send an email to support and then respond with another bogus web link : http://www.recordsarea.com/account/. Now that I was scammed, i will try to get my money off my credit card and I wish myself luck - they are crooks!
Mary Ann in Texas
I don't know where this company is located. I used my credit care to join "RecordsArea.com a website that promised to help search and provide information on everything from locating people to police records. The website does not exist. I will of course attempt to dispute the charge with my credit card company, but based on the complaints I read concerning this non-existent website I doubt I will win.
I joined today and paid by credit card $42.89 and can't get access to the site to find information. The site will not come up and no support is available that helps. A phone number would help to speak to a service provider. ClickBank was used for payment and I will cancel the payment unless I get some service in the next two days. The credit card company will cancel upon request by letter from me.
I used my bank debit card to charge $39.95 for this site. I was unable to access the site and sent an email to support. I received an email back telling me to copy and paste the address exactly as it was shown on their reply email. Of course, it didn't work! Apparently the Click Bank site is actually just a front for RecordsArea.com. Any one care to try to find these thieves?...I'll gladly supply the tar and feathers!
I subscribed to this site but the website gave false information promising you could be information on cell phone numbers and landline numbers but when submitting a phone number it did not give any information but for an additional fee I could be directed to another website that was guaranteed to have the information I was wanting. WHAT A SCAM!
They had me pay for their search services twice and now I cannot find the website. I paid for nothing and I don't know how to get my money back.
