Just Look at Paypal response to my claim against Bloody Binverse ...
PayPal are really in support of these cowboys...

Predatory & Fraudulent Practices
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE PEOPLE. EVER. ESPECIALLY FOR "FREE"! You're "FREE" account will likely cost you $99.95 + the $1.00 you are charged for your "free" account.
I (stupidly) signed up for a "free trial" of this software. I downloaded the software, received my login information, and I couldn't log in. I contacted customer service, they said maybe try to buy a plan so the software would work and I could "cancel it anytime" and I wasn't going to be billed since I was still in my "trial" period. I went for the $13.90 a month plan, feeling it was worth a $13.90 risk. I still wasn't able to log in. I contact ed their customer service again, and they told me they'd cancel my account. This all occurred 10 days before my trial was supposed to end. Long story short, I was not able to login to either the software or my online account until AFTER they billed my card for a year -- $99.95. I tried to nicely explain that I was told this wouldn't happen, and they were like "Too Bad. Enjoy your annual account!" I contacted PayPal, and the first dispute they said was my fault. I contacted them AGAIN and I am now supposed to be refunded. It's funny now that I can login to the account right after they hit you up for the money. I feel certain that this is done purposely and maliciously.
1. They will lock you out of your account so you can't log in an cancel
2. There are no monthly contracts. It's an annual contract of $99.95 or more.
3. They will screw you over in a heartbeat and will NOT refund your money.
4. Who knows whether the service works or not... I could never use it!
Free Trial for Usenet Access! Free Uncensored Usenet Newsgroups | Binverse offered a "free 14 day trial" of their download service product. To accomplish this I used my Paypal account to pay them $1. Even though I used my credit card on Paypal to pay the $1 fee, somehow Binverse was able to force the transaction to go through my bank account, which I didn't find out until later.
I installed the Binverse software as per their instructions, but their service is a complete scam & did not ever work for me one time. I was unable to actually ever download anything with their software so I tried to cancel my account. I went on to the binverse.com site & was unable to cancel my account before the 14 day trial period was up. Even though I canceled the service agreement on Paypal right away, Binverse was still able to push the $99.96 transaction through anyway.
I called Binverse here:
[protected], Non US: +[protected]
They told me they were unable to cancel my account or refund my money & that I would have to cancel the account on their website. I logged in & canceled my account & also canceled my further payments to them via Paypal, but somehow Binverse seems to be able to push transactions through my Paypal account even though they are not authorized to do so.
Binverse is a complete scam. The download service they offer does not actually exist, it's just a front for them to get access to the users' Paypal account or credit card. Then, once they have access to that account, the user is unable to cancel the service.
Dear Downdude54,
We are very sorry to hear that you were having problems with Binverse.
To avoid any misapprehensions we would like to explain the general conception of our website. After signing up on binverse.com, you enter a membership depending on what package you chose (either the Premium 1-Month package for $29.98 or the Premium 6-Month package for $99.90). Payment is possible via credit card or PayPal. When choosing PayPal $1 will be charged by PayPal in order to make sure the account is verified. As mentioned several times during the sign up process as well as in the TOS (which have to be accepted by the customer) you have to cancel our service during the trial period if you do not want your membership to be converted into a paid contract. Otherwise you will enter the full membership depending on the chosen package. If you wish to retract your membership or cancel our service, you can do so either by using the Online Support Form or by clicking on the cancel button in the member area.
Also, we would like to point out that it is our goal to make our website as trustful and reliable as possible. It is not our intention to give any false information to our customers regarding our service. If you have any concerns about Binverse or problems with signing up or cancelling, please feel free to send us an e-mail to mediarelations@binverse.com. We will do our best to solve any problem and incorporate your suggestions.
Best regards,
Your Binverse Team
i wanted a wiring diagram for my car. binverse offered one. i registered with binverse, paid my dollar for two week trial, but could not pull up the wiring diagram. it said click here to get diagram, but when i did a page would come up saying that binverse was merely a go between and could not provide anything other than that... ridiculus.
i am very hip to scams and i avoid trial offers that will charge you full price unless you "unsubscribe" within a certain window of time. binverse scam artists carefully hid that very well. it was not evident that i would be charged and extra $99.96.
my checking account is now $100.00 less because binverse took it out.
i would have gladly paid $20.00 for a wiring diagram. niether did i receive a wiring diagram nor did i have any idea that i was signing up for a subscription.
Binverse needs to be taken down. and taken down without prejiduce. they are scam artists and thieves. we must not allow the activity to go unpunished on the web. t his activity ruins the trust and vibrancy of the internet. binverse and their likes are ruining the internet experience for all of us. they are mere thieves
this is exactly what happened to me
Dear Klaire Voyant,
like most usenet providers we offer a free trial which converts into a paid account if it is not cancelled by the end of the trial period. However, customers are informed about this within our terms and conditions as well as via e-mail beforehand.
I am sorry to hear that you experienced problems with our service. I would very much like to resolve this issue but I need to know the email address you signed up with.
Please feel free to contact me directly at dispute@binverse.com.
Thanks,
The Binverse Team

If i click on it the above mentioned Manage Account/Cancel tab, i can read this: "Your contract is already cancelled. "
So they seem to be legit for me reading this email and from what i can see in my account.
But we'll see in 14 days, i just hope they won't charge my paypal!
(Although mine was a totally free trial subscription, i didn't even pay $1.00 for it as you did)
