unauthorized charges
I originally sent for a sample teeth whitening kit on Nov. 8, 2010 or abut $4.95 in total. The kit arrived about a week later. There was no information about billed for $87.13 if I didn't cancel. I only had the product 6 days when they tried to take $87.13 from my account. The bank didn't process it. Then on Nov. 19 and Nov. 22 they submitted 2 new bills under a different name. I called my bank immediately and they will try to recoup those dollars. This company is working out of Hong Kong. Something called Novapay.
misleading sales/marketing
Online survey popped up my banking homepage about the bank and after completing the survey it promted me to website where it I get a complimentary product of free trial of bright white teeth whitening product valued at $88.78 AUSD and pay only for post and handling of $3.78 AUSD to be paid by credit card. This transaction was done 27th October, 2010. However, on the 8th November, 2010 Brightwhite charged me $88.78 plus the post & handling fee showed on my bank statement 5th November, 2010.
Meanwhile, I still haven't got the product, to this day. I contacted bright white's contact number in Australia numerous times, only answering machine I hear with the message of pls call on EST 9-7 pm Mon- Fri. I called 3 times 1:30 -2 pm EST yet office remains closed, NO PERSONNEL TO SPEAK TO. I want this transaction stopped as it is very misleading...

can you give me email adress please as i need to contact wit them ?
Bank have been great we will get all our money back. Police not interested even though our bank told us to contact them. Marty you are so right we owe the scammers nothing - will keep you posted as I'm not letting this rest...
Never write back to scam companies. Call your bank and fill out the necessary form to report the charge as fraud. You bank will retrieve your money. In some cases you may need to cancel the card in order to prevent them from trying again under another name. You are not helpless, and you owe the scam company nothing. If you were unaware of the charges they are fraud no matter what the company claims.
The only way to stop these people is to cancel your card... same thing happening here in the UK. So far our bank has been very helpful but we are still missing over £100 from our account. Think the company is American but who can tell. The popup here was asking us to take part in a Yahoo survey and we could choose a free gift by way of thank you. Paid the shipping of £2.49 and 9 days later we got billed for £56 on a NovaPay Account and then another £50.09 was taken. We are waiting to hear if we can get our money back.
Hi. I read your complaint I work for one of the Major 4 Banks in Australia in call centre I receive numerous calls a day about this. You need to put something in writing email is fine but keep copy saying you want to cancel AND MUST SAY ALL RELATED COMPANIES ( as they have many marketing names) then under the credit card laws the bank is able to legally dispute any more debits from your card or account as this is unauthorised. In my experience with customers you will keep receiving ongoing charges so do this ASAP. I am not at work at the moment but I have ph number you can call in Aust (AND I have spoken with them on customers behalf) so I dont have number here but remeber it is called Global Support and is a Brisbane ph number. Also if you can go on the site again and usually under privacy will be opt details or email contact. Hope this helps
FRAUDULANT Charge of $87.13
MISTAKE # 1.
I ordered a trial offer for Bright White.
It was supposed to cost about $5.00.
There was NO indication of further purchasing requirements.
My bank was charged $87.13.
FRAUDULANT.
I asked for a refund, I asked for a Supervisor, I asked for an address so I could write a letter.
This is a FRAUDULANT group.
When I contacted the [protected] number, I was hung up on 3 times.

Scam
Bright white has also charged me $87.13 before the 10 day trial was up. I have contacted my bank and canceled my debit card. I am currently filling out an affidavit of unauthorized use. My next step is to file a police report. I have spoken with 3 different people today [protected]) at bright white([protected]). The first person (Nicole) states she is sending an e-mail for me to fill out for a refund. Didn't happen. Called back, same thing. My third call was with (Kate), she says she canceled my membership over the phone and i should have $87.13 back in my account in 3 days. If it were that easy, why did i have to call 3 times. I have my doubts. I will countinue with my bank has advised.
I WOULD LIKE TO UPDATE MY COMPLAINT ABOUT BRIGHT WHITE. ON TUESDAY 10/19, I WENT TO MY LOCAL POLICE STATION AND FILLED OUT A REPORT AGAINST BRIGHT WHITE. I THEN WENT TO MY BANK AND GAVE THEM THE AFFIDAVIT OF UNAUTHORIZED USE AND THE POLICE REPORT. IN THE SAME AFTERNOON I WAS CONTACTED BY A DETECTIVE AND HE TOLD ME THE BANK WOULD PROBABLY EAT THOSE CHARGES AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK, SINCE IT WAS SUCH A SMALL AMOUNT. THE NEXT DAY 10/20, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT AT MY BANK. LONG STORY SHORT, THEY GAVE ME MY MONEY BACK. WHAT IS SO FUNNY IS THAT ON 10/21 I SAW MY POLICE REPORT IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER. I WAS SO GLAD TO SEE THE REPORT, NOW EVERYONE IN MY AREA CAN BE MORE INFORMED ABOUT BRIGHT WHITE AND THEIR SCAMS.

I ordered the "free trial" for the tooth whitening system from Bright White and paid the S&H, but never received the product. I called the company (11/15/10) to follow up after 3 weeks passed with out receiving my package and was told it was "in the mail". I further informed the operator that I wanted to cancel future orders in advance as it had taken so long to get the product. The operator told me he could not cancel the order until I received the package and I would have to call back to cancel or be billed the outrageous monthly price. On 11/28/10, I called the 800# provided (again) to follow up on the package and received a recording saying "Due to high call volume, the system is busy. Please hang up and try your call again later." After 3 days of receiving this message, I found the website and contacted them via a different number only to be told it was a scam out of India and I needed to cancel my bank account immediately. Thanks to these SORRY people, I have lost my money, never received the product and will be with out a bank card for the next 7 to 10 days! I hope these people are put out of business and made to return every red cent they have STOLEN from innocent victims of their scam! I truly hope the saying "what goes around, comes around" works in their favor.
I, like your previous writer sent for a "FREE SAMPLE", which I did receive. The advert stated "pay for postage only"...no mention of cancelling with in 14 days. I have since contacted the company Twice to confirm my cancellation of goods not required..only to discover they continue sending out the goods by FED EX. I have, however instructed my bank NOT to pay these people. One more [point, the phone number showing on the internet for the U.K. is in fact in California, yet another con!
I signed up for the free trial of Bright White. I cancelled within the company free trial time limit. I even called my credit card company to tell them I did not approve any further charges from Bright White. I was charged $87 anyway within a couple of weeks. The trick they used was another company name (Nova not Bright White) in Japan, so my credit card company put the charge through. So beware. If you really want to do a free trial, you must cancel the credit card after the charge and get a new number to beat them at their own game. Thankfully my credit card reimbursed me the amount, but we are all paying for this activity in the long run.
I ordered free trial from the bright white for, witsh i never receive and i get charge fore free trial plus 87, 47 and foreine charge so when i complaine on phone 2 times i get charges again 87, 47 plus fotrine charges so the total the charges was almost 182.94 for something i never received .It looks to me this company it taking money from people without any purchases.i'm waiting for them until the en of the month if no i'm going to post not in my face book andat my work unt i puch this probleme to channel 7 because i taped my conversations for 2 times .so i'll wait and see what going to happen/////
Like many others apparently, I believed I was getting a free sample of the Tooth Whitener only to be charged the full price for a product that does not work. I now find I have been charged a further$278 for the same item bringing the total amount taken stolen from my credit card to $278. What is going on? Please take the necessary steps to refund my money forwith.
I ordered a FREE trial gift of a tooth whitening product paid postage only
now monthly amounts are taken from my account. To date a total of £106.15
has been misappropriated.
Free sample, credit card given for minimal shipping
unauthorized $87.13 charge 3 days after I had the card declared compromised Sample package was shipped from an apartment complex in Chicago
This is the huggest scam! I authorized one shipment for $3.87 and so far over the last few months they have charged over $90/mo on my credit card and now more fraudulent charges from other companies from the same city are showing up. DO NOT BUY THIS!

I have had the exact same problem but mine was for diet pills instead of teeth whitening kits. This company has taken $87.13 from my account which I am now trying to recover. However, getting to speak to anyone on this is an absolute joke!
I don't know if I will be able to reclaim the money or not.
