Easy Saver Rewards charged fee - did not sign up

I have been billed by Easy Saver Rewards (EASY SAVER [protected] PA) for $14.95 per month since making a purchase online, I believe from Proflowers.com.

Easy Saver is apparently associated with ProFlowers and I am not sure how I or if I signed up for their 'services' while placing my order. I do not want to continue with this service and would like my account credited for any and all charges associated with Easy Saver Rewards.

Please help!

Apparently MYPOINTS.COM is associated with Easy Saver.I had no idea who Easy Saver is until I found did a search and found the web sites of pissed off consumers using MYPOINTS.COM as well & being charged $14.95 a month from Easy Saver. i just checked my bank statement & this charge has been going on for months! i am calling tomorrow to demand my money back & will no longer order through MYPOINTS.COM. i will make them aware as well & draft a complaint against MYPOINTS as well.

I intend to get every penny back they have stolen from my account without my consent!

I ordered from Pro Flowers just over a month ago. And I NEVER signed up for the Easy Saver garbage. I do not even know what exactly it is or was; just that I did not want it, declined it, and said I was not interested in it. And my credit card was charged anyway a month later. Charged without my permission. Granted, the customer service rep was a nice enough person, but it is a complete bunch of c-r-a-p that I was charged for a service that I DECLINED. According to the rep, I am supposed to receive a refund. I will never order from Pro Flowers again. I am sticking with FTD.

I do not think you should go with FTD either. They did the same thing to me. Every month, for four consecutive months they charged my credit card for the amount of $12. It never showed up on my banking statement until the fourth month. On the fourth month I saw a charge of $12. There was an 800 number to call for this unauthorized charge. To which I took the time to phone in my complaint.

In doing so, they answered the phone with, "Customer Service." I did not know who I was calling or who to even speak to. First, after asking what the hell company this was, I explained to them that I had a charge to my account which I had no knowledge of.

They explained that when I ordered flowers from FTD there was a section asking if I would like to join the Reservation Rewards. I DO NOT recall this, and if it were there, I would have declined the invitation and zipped right past it. All I wanted to do was order flowers for my mother for her birthday! Once a year! No need to sign up for rewards if I buy once a year! Now, if I bought flowers all the time, I could see that MAYBE being a possibility. They were somewhat hesitant, but not strongly hesitant.. and after quickly ranting, they decided to charge the amount of the $12 back to my account.

A few days later I went to my online banking to see if the charge was processed yet. To this I found four seperate credits for the amount of $12 a piece! I called them back right away to ask what the heck was going on with this and asked them to explain the credits to me.

They told me they had taken $12 every month for four months since I ordered from FTD back on July 8, 2007! I do not trust this. FTD should not be giving out my personal or financial information to ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL! INCLUDING this so called third party Reservation Rewards company which is a complete scam if you ask me. WHAT REWARDS? WHERE ARE THE REWARDS? WHAT WAS I EVEN BEING CHARGED FOR?

I do not feel comfortable using my credit card online any longer, ultimately due to the fact that FTD has been around for ages, and they are even scamming people, or even the least bit involved with scamming people! I cannot believe FTD. It disgusts me to know that confidentiality no longer exists. In order to feel confidant that my bank account does not incur any more miscellanious, unauthorized charges, I will be changing my credit card number, as well as my bank account, and I advise that anyone who has been subject to this scam does the same as well.

Easy Saver Rewards unauthorized charges

I was also charged the $14.95 and $1.95 for 4 months. I can not beleive that proflowers.com would be associated with this company. Now 2 companies will never get a positive feedback from me although the flowers were beautiful I have plenty of florists in my neighberhood. However when I called easy saver Delores agreed to credit my account ASAP, so I am assuming they are accustomed to this practice now. Wow this is a complete wake up call for me. Be careful what boxes you check on the internet and always read the fine print. Make sure you get your money back. All I trying to do was send lovely flowers to my mother-in-law for mothers day and this company took advantage of that. NICE ! Another thing that is amazing is when I typed in easy saver on google all of these complaints were the first things that showed up. HINT! Thanks to all who helped with the information of easy saver and proflowers will not be getting my business. Again the number to easy saver is [protected]. Check you account if you have ever used proflowers.com

This company has repeatedly debited my bank account with out my authorization... When I called to inform them of this she said she can credit my account back only 2 debits out of 6. This is unacceptable to me so I am going further of the management line until my account is credited back all of my money...

Easy Saver debited my card ($1.95 & $14.95) without my authorization after I did an online purchase from Proflowers.com. It seems that ProFlowers is in collusion with EasySaver and that this trick has drawn many customers into an intentionally confusing situation that approaches, if not enters, the realm of illegal and fraudulent activity. I already reported this activity to my bank and will pursue to more serious class-action suit if Easy Saver do not take action...

I just spoke with Virginia Lease at [protected] ext. 4006. (9am - ? EST). I was transfered to her when I asked for a supervisor and then the supervisor's boss. She said they will refund me in 7 - 10 Days the full amount of all of the charges - $14.95 x 4 months and the $1.95. She seemed nice but I'm not sure how someone can work for a company that operates this way. If I don't get me refund in 7 - 10 Days, I will go crazy and call Virginia every hour. By the way, I immeadiatley called back and used the extension and it did go to Virginia so I know if works.

My checking account is being charged $19.80 by your company. I have never authorized these charges and I do not understand why this is happening. I would like you to refund the money and take my name off of any list you have saying that this is ok. My checking account is now -$180 because of overdraft and service fee's. A couple other company's have also been doing this to me and I believe their linked with your's somehow. If this is not taken care of I will see to make sure it does.

In November 2008 I ordered some windup toys for Christmas from Oriental Trading online. Since then, I have been receiving a charge each month for $14.95 from Easy Saver. I thought it had something to do with my husband, but this month I called the 800 number listed to find out what this charge was for and found out it was associated with my purchase from Oriental Trading in November, and that I have been receiving this charge monthly ever since. I asked them to cancel this membership, but while I was doing this, I looked up Encore Marketing online (it was being advertised on the phone call I was on while I was on hold) and found several Rip-off associated with Encore Marketing and Easy Saver.

I did not authorize these charges, nor sign up for Easy Saver service. Much less, if I had, I have not received anything via email or regular mail about what I supposedly had signed up for and how to use it or receive it. I am very angry and a little worried about them actually having canceled my membership, as I read reports in which other memberships have not been canceled, although requested, and accounts are still being charged for this. All I did was order something from Oriental Trading.

The charge of 14.95 and an earlier one of 1.95 showed up on my credit card bill. I found out about it becuase my credit card company saw the 14.95 transaction as possibly fraudulent and called me to authorize it. I researched it, and it was from an order from proflowers.com that I never completed. I called my credit card company back and told them it was fraudulent. They are marking the charges fraudulent, taking them off my statement, cancelling my current card number, and sending me a new one. I hope all credit card companies are like mine!

Yes, I noticed a reoccuring name on my CC account and researched that I was being billed $14.95 for 5 consecutive months. Thanks to this web site I called the 800 not for Easy Saver, they said when I made my purchase from "Cherry Moon" / must be associated with ProFlowers.com, I signed up for a "savings membership"... I said I was livid to be frauded like this. I opperate 4 web sites and this has happened to me a second time since shipping online for christmas. I had another retailer... claim I signed up for a "MEMBERSHIP", for which they apparently during the checkout process have a hidden offer for such. I complained and received from PayPal a refund after a troublesome 2 months of credit card chargeback process. It looks like online retailers (bad ones) are now using a method to sign up shoppers for bogus MEMBERSHIPS... This needs to stop. Retailers like this are simply dishonest for their quest for THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. I suggest getting a refund and file complaints to whatever agency (government / bank / credit card processers / etc) to have this scheme STOPPED. It will hurt all of us doing business online.

Add Redenveloped.com to the list too. I bought some flower in may for my mom and after that the same story, a rechrage of $1.95 plus $14.95 for three months... until I realized of the scam.

Beware when ordering anything from Blair - Blair Rewards Program is a total scam - they will charge your credit card $14.95/mo. until you catch them and put a stop to it.

Easy Saver Rewards Online scam

Thank goodness I found this site whenever I Googled EASY SAVER. I have been being charged $14.95 per month since April 2008 for a total of $89.70 without my knowledge or consent. After reading some of these complaints I called their Customer Service Number - [protected] and a representative canceled my membership (that I never authorized in the first place) as well as told me that I'll be receiving a credit for 5-months at $74.75. That will still leave me out $14.95 but at this point I'm happy to recover anything at all!

I'm becoming increasingly skeptical about any online orders at all now and I usually do ALL OF MY CHRISTMAS shopping online. It's a shame that a few bad companies ruin it for the good companies out there just trying to make a living.

ProFlowers gave them my credit card and suddenly I start receiving charges for a membership in a rewards program. I was billed for several months before I realized that my husband did not order anything and it was because I placed an order with ProFlowers. I contacted Easy Saver and spoke wih "Janet" who said that they would reimburse me right away for all charges. I hope they do.

How does this company get away with this. They have been accessing my account for a least 8 months. How do I stop it short of cancelling my credit card and getting a new one? This company has been taking $14.95 out of my account without authorization. This kind of activity needs to stop and we should be able to sue them for the illeagal access to my bank
account.Does anyone know of a place to report this illegal ativity? Maybe if enough of us report this activity we can get it stopped. I can't imagine how many $ have been given to this company for nothing.

Easy Savers Rewards company have abused my trust!

How it worked : I bought flowers from Pro-flowers.com, then my debit card information was used (I do not know whether or not it might be even bought?) by Easy Savers Rewards(company), they charged me $14.95 monthly membership fee I was not even aware of! It has been four charges made to my debit card account until I rediscovered it!

I called to company representative (phone # they provide on the bill when they charge your account), requested to cancel the membership and return all my $60.00 back. They promise to reimburse my account $60.00 during 5 business days.

We just noticed today that $14.95 has been deducted from our bank account EVERY month for the last 5 YEARS for something we didn't even know existed! I just called and they were only willing to refund $89.70. They said that we "signed up" for our membership to Easy Saver through Proflowers. Because they tricked us into entering an email address while trying to checkout! They're definitely going to be hearing from our attorney.

I should also bring up the point that when I asked what Easy Saver even was...the only thing they could tell me was...it was a "Savings Membership". Of course, I asked them how much I saved from it and they couldn't reply. I then said, "Negative $900".

Wife ordered item from Oriental Trading Company in Sep 09 via AMEX card. We failed to review acct for two months as we were on automatic payment. Subsequently found $14.95 billed to Encore MKTG for 4 months for what(?). Encore Mktg rep asked for all my personal infoprmation and placed me on hold for a supervisor to answer. Listened to music for twenty minutes. Hung up. Customer service at Oriental Trading Co referred me to Encore Mktg. AMEX was helpful. Beware of Oriental Trading Company and Encore Marketing and Easy Saver. Please somebody, start a class action suit against these crooks.

I too, ordered from Oriental Trade website, and just realized that since last October I have been charged $14.95 for something, I had no clue. I didn't know what it was for, but tried to call and recording led me to website for Pissed Consumers. This is awful that a compnay would rip peoplw off, people who work hard for the money they make and have families to provide for! I am calling tomorrow to get my refund! They had better give it all back or I am reporting this to the BBB! May their company crumble to the ground! Funny thing is that people like them always seem to get away with this stuff!

lindsey1983, thanks for your helpful info. Easy saver scammed me for a year and a half which I just found out yesterday (it was brought up by my credit card company). I called to cancel, got my last 2 months fee back. This morning, I googled and read some people's complain, so I called the company again and got 4 more months' refund (6 months total), then read more and saw your post. I called and ask for "escalation department" right away, they tried hard, I still had talk to 3 people to get what I wanted. They tried not to give me more, then I just told them I believe anything they're trying to tell me and stopping me to getting more refunds back. I told them the complains and refunds that read online, finally, they gave in. They gave me 12 months refund back. I did not get my full refund, but I am satisfied.
It was also happened after I made a purchase with oriental trading, so I just emailed them regarding their business practice with such scammer and I will never give them any business again.
Thanks again!

THIS MAY HELP!
My card was charged 10 TIMES! My own fault for not noticing sooner. The first rep was only authorized to refund 2 of the 10 charges. I asked for his supervisor, he sent me to the Consumer Affairs department. They were only authorized to refund 1 more. I sternly, not rude, just sternly asked for his supervisor. She, TANYA, was able to give me the full $150 back. Insane that I didn't notice, but I am so glad Tanya could help. She was very nice. She did tell me that if you ask for the "escalation department" on the first call you may cut your call time down and shoot to the top. UGHHH! No more shopping on Oriental trading for me.

The same thing happened to me when buying from Oriental Trading. I got no memebership materials or an email. Luckily, my husband had this issue with Proflowers last year and was aware of the scam. Yes, this is a scam. Like my husband, when I read the fine print I tried to back out of the deal or cancel but there was no button to push on the web page to back out. Hitting the back button on my browser did not apparently did not work and I got a charge. I called within the 30 days and had the $1.95 removed. I am boycotting Oriental Trading Company, PAYPAL and Proflowers.

I was SO thrilled to find your complaint with Easy Saver's customer service # included! I had placed an order with Oriental Trading and accepted the offer of a $15 credit on my next order if I joined Easy Saver, with a 30-day free trial, and could be canceled at ANY time. $14.95 per month would be billed after the free trial, which did include an "activation fee" of $1.95. Their notice said I could cancel by calling the toll-free # which would be contained in my membership materials, which would be mailed to me within 2 weeks. Well...my "membership materials" NEVER arrived, so I had no # to call to cancel! I'm assuming that's done on purpose b/c they know people get busy and forget, until they see charges on their creit cards! Your posting helped me a great deal! Thank you
