Delivery problems and driver complaint
I have a driver that works my apartment complex under a Contractor. I chased one shipment for 3 weeks on a daily basis that I had scheduled for a Saturday delivery - I paid extra for a Saturday delivery to Fed Ex and also paid Fed Ex for a 2 hour window for late afternoon. The Saturday of the delviery, Aug 6th, I remained in my home waiting for the package. The driver never showed up and I received an email around 2:00pm that the package was rescheduled for delivery the following Tuesday. I spoke with the local warehouse supervisor (Tom Feher) who assured me the package would arrive as I requested between 4pm-6pm on Saturday the 13th. Every day that week (8/8 thru 8/12), I kept receiving emails that this package was scheduled for Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday, then Friday - forcing me to call Fed Ex each time to confirm the Saturday delivery. I continued to receive emails every day that week reporting that my package was undeliverable on each of those days, but no one left DOOR TAGS on any one of those days. Finally, the driver showed up on Saturday, Aug 13th. However, he was 4 hours early at 12:15pm. Luckily I was still home to receive it that early. I accepted the package and told him I would be filing a complaint with his supervisor. I signed for the package, said nothing else to him and simply closed the door.
This next experience is for a delivery, scheduled for delivery today, Friday. I scheduled my day to work from home in order to be here for the package. At 1:09pm, the driver reported he was unable to deliver the package as no one was home to accept it. Since I was here, I can state that again he left NO DOOR TAG and he was never in the complex as my window faces the main drive. When I spoke to his contractor boss (first name John phone [protected]), I was told the driver was unable to turn around and come back because his route was done for the day and he was already at the freeway (at 1:30pm - less than 1 mile from my apartment building) - really? Then his boss said the driver told him that I cussed him out last week and I am racist. All because I threatened to file a complaint and didn't tell him to have a "nice day" or smile?
I have had it with Fed Ex. Every package delivery is a fight to receive it. I have a heart condition and can no longer deal with the stress. Nothing I've ordered is worth the anxiety they cause me. I've been dealing with these people for 7 years and I am done. Any retailer who ships to me via Fed Ex will have the merchandise returned.
Slow Delivery
I have been waiting for a delivery from JC Penney and was provided tracking information. FedEx moved my package from their Orlando, Florida location en route to Bradenton, Florida on Thursday, December 17th at 1117AM. I have just been notified that I will receive my package on Wednesday, December 23rd. I live in Bradenton, Florida which is approximately 2 hours from Orlando. Realistically I could have walked from Orlando to Bradenton in the 6 days they are taking to get the package to me. Use UPS.
