Georgia Roofmasters located in Ellijay Ga, 374 Glenridge Dr took my deposit in Feb 2010. Once Glen Grindley took my 4500 he vanished, I never heard from them again. I tried to contact them several times with no response. I was a very busy single mom so I did not have a tremendous amount of time to play the "where did the roofer go" game. I never gave up...

Georgia Roofmasters Fraud

Fraud statements to insurance company. Undeliverable services promised. Unreliable in meeting appointments. Tag team con game between owner and salesman to rip off homeowners. Attempted confiscating of insurance funds with low quality product. Can not produce proposals with scope of work. Threatening breach of agreement to gain money from homeowner. Business license number unverifiable. Uses membership of BBB and NARC to hide deceitful tactics ahead for homeowner. BEWARE OF OWNER: GLEN THE RIPPER and his charming DR. VICTOR ANTUNICA. They can be found daily in the Magistrate Court instead of on roof tops.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...business is business if a price is agreed to, confirmed, and signed on a true contract. Attempts by intimidation to gain access to a roofing job without a written price beforehand and using a product the owner does not want is surely not what referral only roofing companies enlist to gain business.. Insurance companies allow homeowners to upgrade if they wish and hope they do upgrade as the insurance company will benefit in the long run. Competitive bids and reference checks are allowed by homeowners.

Georgia Roofmasters will have to change their tactics to stay in the running with reputable firms. They will probably abide by ethical dealings in the future, at least while they are being scrutinized. All in all, GRI will have benefited from their own underhanded dealings as they will clean up their act and I will just bet they will obtain all proper permits in the future for their roofing service. Straight foreward untruths to homeowners and insurance companies should be avoided by all reputable roofing companies.

As for me, I have had several roofs in just a short period of time due to tornado winds and with the process I used for selecting both the new higher windproof product and a diligent, honest roofing company, I hope not to deal with another roof in this home's lifetime. Georgia Roofmasters way of trying to obtain new business is a puzzle to many, and thankfully I saved myself heartache by not choosing them and not letting them have my money to waste on a product they recommended which would not have served my home's contents well at all. They lost the chance to be on my roof by using bullying tactics which did not pan out for them. Magistrate Court does not seem very likely to be a good marketing strategy.

Had a scheduled appointment at noon for a roof inspection. Got a call one hour later informing me that they would be there in 40 minutes.
2 hours later, and the salesman Marco Costa still had not arrived.
I then called the main office of Georgia Roofmasters and cancelled the appointment.
2 hours later at almost 5 P.M., I heard the salesman on my roof.
I then proceeded to call Georgia Roofmasters and informed them that their salesman was on my roof without my permission, and they said call the police.
Obviously this company is not in touch with their sales representatives.
Avoid this company and their sales reps.

This is an unfortunate event that is very uncommon with our company... It would appear that there was a communication discrepancy and i can assure you that me and the office staff have taken the proper actions to ensure that this will not happen again. That being said... We are only human and mistakes happen, what we do to correct those mistakes will determine wether or not we are a reliable company and hopefully not one persons unfortunate event...

I would like to use the forum to apologize to Mr. Wagner for his inconvenience and reassure him that we are striving to be the best possible roofing and restoration company possibly...

As far as Mr. Wagners last sentence "Avoid this company and their sales reps" I ask that anyone reading this post and any other post on this site to give the contractor a fair shake and not take one person's opinion over the 500 customer's that have been satisfied by our company...

If Mr. Wagner or any other persons reading this post would like to talk to me, or find out more factual information about our company please call...

To be fair there are some dishonest roofing companies out there and I do not work for one of them. I would never be involved in anything like that because it is morally and ethically wrong. This is the main reason for wanting to work with a reputable company. The agreements that this customer keeps talking about is you sign an agreement saying if this company goes through the insurance process and you are able to get a roof, you will use us to have your roof put on. No dishonesty, no confiscating insurance funds, honest work in exchange for pay! Have you thought that there are some dishonest home owners who will run with the money and never get a roof when they get the check in the mailbox, now that is fraudulent. It happens all the time.

I am Victor Antunica and not a doctor in whom you are referring to and work for this company. I have not deceived anyone in any way. My company only sends cases to Magistrate Court if there is a contract breech. There is nothing deceiving about how we do business and have nothing to hide. I have personally helped over 60 people in the process of getting a brand new roof in Georgia and never have I had a complaint. As for not showing up for appointments if I get a call 10 minutes before an appointment how can I make it there on time? I have no reason to rip anyone off for I currently am a business owner in Mississippi in the power washing and sweeping industry and never have I ever deceived anyone. I moved to Georgia with my wife and two small children with the intent to help people and I love what I do. My integrity speaks for itself. I have not been paid on anything that I have done for you so how did I rip you off? I gave you a free inspection of your roof and told you there was hail damage. My pay comes after you receive your roof, I have nothing to hide.

I am a Christian and love the Lord, and find it hard to believe that you would say I have harassed you, I have not a mean bone in my body and am a man of his word! I find it very disappointing that you do not even leave your name. I would by the way want to know you name, since you have plastered my name all over the internet with your claims! I am innocent and have nothing to hide. Also, as to the tag team claim, yes the owner had to get involved because of your claims. A respectable business owner would get involved if an employee has been accused of something so horrible. I find it also upsetting that you are trying to ruin my good name because of your mistakes. I will pray for you and this situation and know that I have done nothing wrong and pray that people reading this post will rely on God to speak to them and give them the whole truth. Please know that I am in this industry to represent the home owner. It is disappointing to know you claim low value services against our company and you didn’t even give us a chance to give you a roof because you backed out after you received your money from the insurance. I went through a catastrophic storm of Hurricane Katrina in which I completely lost my home and wish I had a representative from an independent company on my side “the home owner” unlike some insurance companies that are out there! God Bless you!

To show I have nothing to hide, my phone number is [protected] if you have any questions.
