Global Golf Connections Timeshare scam

Global Golf Connections lied when they told me they would rent my weeks. The whole operation is a scam right from the very beginning. Just read the endless complaints about Global Golf Connections to discover the truth that they have no intention of renting any of their clients timeshare weeks. In 2013 I attended a vacation rental (timeshare) presentation with the Grand Mayan and bought two weeks’ worth $45, 000. The Grand Mayan convinced me to purchase the 2nd week as they told me that I could rent this additional week through Global Golf Connections and pay for the entire $45, 000 investment within a year. Like most innocent people I believed these lies, and the Grand Mayan used their contacts in the American Banking industry to authorize funds that enabled me to spend my entire life savings on timeshare. A year and a half went by and Global Golf Connections had not even rented my timeshare for one day. I was literally calling them every week and getting bounced from call-operator to call-operator and getting excuse after excuse. I couldn’t afford to invest that money in timeshare I only did so because Global Golf Connections assured me they would rent my weeks but all they did was scam me out of more money. I have contacted PROFECO and the FBI and am happy to know that they are both investigating Global Golf Connections; I have learned the true address of their company in Playa del Carmen and the identity of the owner. Next month I will travel to Playa del Carmen the American owner face to face.

Global Golf Connections Fraud

FRAUD ! Bought a Mayan Palace timeshare and salesperson gave us pre-printed list of their preferred/recommended timeshare sales/rental companies, drew asterisk * next to Global Golf Connections "This one is good." GOOD FOR NOTHING BUT SCAMMING ! Contacted them by phone, fax and emails, paid a "Life Time Listing Fee" of $442, sent them our timeshare docs, etc. AND THEY NEVER contacted us again ! WE had to keep calling them "Did you get an offer? " No No NO! Removed our listing from their greedy hands. Renewal fee of $38.00 paid so we can list our Mayan timeshare for RENT. Paid it. Called GGC, asked their "accounting dept" where's the $$ ? They said we were "next on the list" for rental. That was months ago. NOW THEY DO NOT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE. IT'S "LEAVE A MESSAGE"... SO I'M GOING TO CONTACT ANYONE IN GOV'T, LICENSING AGENCY, WHOEVER, IN NEVADA, SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I want my money back !
Do not do business with this company, EVER. Rent your own timeshare out. GLOBAL GOLF CONNECTIONS IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

Got lip service, then a promise for a refund in an email and verbal, but nothing further... Gilbert Lopez at Global Golf Connections should not pass up this opportunity to get us to retract our Fraud Complaint... Still waiting for him to call back. Only going to wait a little while...

Just got thru to them Spoke with a Chris Sanchez who heard my heated request for a refund as they have not provided the services they were paid to provide. No sales offers, no rental $ - we are still "Next on the List" for rental. FYI he told me their corporate HQ is in Miami @ 2250 NW 114th Ave Unit 1 M, Miani FL 33172. In response for a refund, he will send a "petition" to his supervisors. I told him I was going to blog everywhere about their scams.
I am contacting the Federal Trade Commission, anyone with eyes, anyone with an earlobe, to do something about their FRAUDULENT practices !
He did not have a response when I asked if GGC even knew IF we still owned the timeshares we contracted with them to sell and rent. They NEVER contact you once they have your money. There is no website where we can view our listing. THEY HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF PROVIDING ANY "MARKETING." Mr. Sanchez smugly stated that we signed a contract with them that states NO REFUNDS. I replied IF YOUR COMPANY HAD MARKETED OUR 5 STAR GOLD CROWN RESORT TIMESHARE PROPERLY, we would have no complaint. IF GGC HAD MARKETED OUR MAYAN PALACE UNIT SUFFICIENTLY, we would have no complaint. HOWEVER, AFTER NEARLY 14 MONTHS OF MARKETING, WE HAVE HAD ZERO RESULTS, ZERO OFFERS, ZERO $$$.
WE WANT OUR $$ BACK !

today, 3.23.16, i received a call from victor. he provided the same "story" that the company is under new management. i told him that the new management has an obligation to "honor" existing obligations. he asked if i had a costco card and other cards. i asked why. he told me i paid an annual fee. i replied yes, as long as i am happy with the service. if i am not, i do not renew. i explained if the new management company wanted to demonstrate a commitment to it's customers, they would rent the units available and then we would strongly consider our options for 2017. promptly resulting in an email indicating we had deactivated our account. i replied i had not, he had. ... what a disreputable group they have proven to be!

We were duped at the Grand Mayan on utilizing the Global Golf Connection. They are "under new management" but they sound like the same litany of lies of the old management. We have been with them for 2 years and they have not rented one unit...supposedly we have many units in inventory under our name and they want to "build up a flow" of rental units. This Connection and its practices are a fraud. They just tried to get us to upgrade our membership so that " our listing will be higher on their new web page." We were wronged and we were lied to at the Grand Mayan in Cancun!

We have been trying with them for 2 years and have never gotten a call back, yet they keep asking for more money for "premium" and to get to the front of the list. This has been going on for 2 years.

I should have checked online before I "listed" my property with these people. They claimed the reason mine didn't rent yet is because I didn't have the premier membership. So I paid ANOTHER $200 (on top of the original fee) and have just paid my second annual fee. They are "marketing" our time share at Villas Sol in Costa Rica. They were recommended by the marketing department at Villas Sol. We were told the fees they got for renting would cover our maintenance fee and we would clear about $1000/year. We are suckers!

Did anyone come to a resolution to this? I'm in the same boat, except i have grand luxxe which is over 40k! Sales reps gave me all the right numbers during the sales pitch and then recommended ggc to rent or the weeks, but 13 months later, nothing! I need help!

Agreed. My experience with GGC is the same. We are always next on the list, but somehow have never rented in 2 years now. The sales vultures at Mayan are one bunch of con artists. GGC are another. BTW, the Mayan resorts themselves are gorgeous and the staff are great. It's just the sales and "presentation" people that are after your wallet.

Your problem is really with the Mayan. Global is just a shill for their fraudulent sales practices.

Global Golf Connections Not what expected

I applied for a timeshare program from Global Golf Connections but they failed to provide complete information regarding that timeshare and I ended up paying for a completely different thing. When this became clear to me I asked for money back but they told me that refund time has passed already and I can’t back off from the deal now. This company is not trustworthy whatsoever.

It's all FRAUD ! Global Golf Connections was recommended to us in writing (with a disclaimer of course) by the timeshare sales person. They are all in bed with each other. Global Golf not only DID NOT sell our other time share for us (for a LIFETIME fee of $442.00) but they billed us for a $40 renewal in order to list our timeshare for RENT. They don't even answer the freaking phone now. It's music and "please leave a message." I'm going to find a contact in gov't in NEVADA to see if we can get our $ back.

Global Golf Connections will take the money they charge upfront and will only list the timeshare week for far more than it will ever rent for, and that will be the last time the timeshare owner will ever hear from them. They have no intention of renting the timeshare, otherwise Global Golf Connections would not charge an upfront fee. Be aware of any new advertisement or promotion that these places might offer you, they are all scams and no will not deliver on the promises that are made to you at the time of purchase. This is a common ploy used by timeshare sales people. The sales people lure people into buying by telling them they can rent their extra weeks for big bucks. it's just not true:
