Scam Artists
I can't believe I'm still getting charges against my checking account!
I refuse to try contacting these scammers by phone as the only time I can call is during my work day and I don't need to use up my minutes on my cell phone to complain, so I'm complaining in writing.
I haven't visited this website http://thegrantresourceguide.com
and yet I am getting charged on my checking account $64.21 plus $.55 for international fee. If this were legitimate I would have my $40, 000 debts reduced considerably and would be able to pay my rent with peace of mind.
Now I'm really pissed! So I'm going to my bank to close out my account so they get the future charges rejected due to "account closed." I need that money to pay my bills!
Stupid Jerks!
Dianesbailoutblog.com was a hoax and bait to lure suckers into believing that grantresourceguide.com was the way to obtain federal grants to get one out of debt or anything else.
The national economic status indicates our nation is in debt in the trillions, yet these advertisements tell us that there is federal grant monies that the government doesn't tell us about. I truly believe the federal government hides lots of information from the public so that the world doesn't PANIC and create CHAOS. We have enough fighting, killing, stealing, etc. going on around us and we just want to make a decent living and decent people are just trying to get the little help they can get even if it's federal monies that are interest free with no re-payment plan.

Stop before they take money
I made the mistake of signing up for the Free Grant Resource at $1.95 on 03/03/2009.
I could not get a email to go in to cancel membership as I seen this type of RIP OFF 2 years ago and they start taking money even if you do not use the system.
I have not and now they have my account #. I will wind up paying my bank $25. to block this company
from accesing my account unless I can make sure it is canceled.

Have been thying to cancel way befor the seven days, but the nunber the gave [protected] you get a recording never a real person now the recording comes on then all of a sudden you get a dial tone.Somthing is wrong with this picture. All i want is a refund an for them to cancel the program. Looking for type of help...
I authorized a $2:99 charge to my credit card for shipping charges on a grant CD only to have nothing of any value on the CD. I had 7 days to cancel my "subscription" but didn't receive the CD with the "information" until after the 7 days--so they charged my credit card in excess of $59. Now I can't find the company anywhere to cancel my "subscription" and keep getting charged.
I thought that I had authorized a charge of only $1.99 for a grant resource CD. Once I received the CD, it had nothing on it. I was then charged a total of $58.61 due to a scam. I called to day and asked to be off of thier sucker list. I was given a confirmation code of 288595 but have yet to get an email confirmation. Can I recover that money ?
i purchase a cd and a trial the info was to be emailed to me. Did not recieve any info but my cc is being charged.
$2.95 ended up $49.5o monthly for a service I did not sign up for. I too ordered the Grant CD. When contacted for services, I declined but are billed on a monthy basis.
I fell for this too...mortified. This Grant Resource Guide is a rip off. The $2.95 CD is now up to $60.00 plus...they just keep taking money from my account. Amazingly, when you call the service number to cancel "per the agreement" the phone is perpetually busy or rings for hours with no answer. Will have to fight the charges via my bank I guess. (insert swear words here!)
this was supposed to be a free 7 day trial, then if not satisfied, I could cancel. However, the charges were entered on my credit card before the trial period and I don't seem to be able to cancel, and they say they will charge my account $58.71 every month. I have notified my credit card to flag this and not allow any charges and am filing all complaints necessary.
I downloaded GRG's guide and purchased the CD. I called and cancelled within the 7 days but for some reason they can't find a record of it. They keep charging my card monthly for services they are not providing, plus I am getting calls from 3rd party companies that they sold my information to.
This seems to be a scam / rip-off type company that is out to charge you for nothing and wants you to do all of the work.
I ordered this guide advertised for $2.95. I received the CD but didn't have time to use it right away. When I got my credit card bill, besides the $2.95 charge, I was also charged another $49.50 seven days later. There was no indication that there would be this last charge in any of the information that I could find. What can we do to get this back?
Thank you.
I paid the $3 for shipping on their free cd and got the cd but then had been charged without my knowledge $49.50. I called and got the supervisor who said I agreed to this after the 7 day free trial, and that it was non-refundable. I am angry seeing that others are talking about the same place. I will get my money back.
taking omney out my account with my concent.
i was issue a grant educacational software disc.I found out later on they withdrawl 49.50 out of my cheching account. It should be a law for that.I think a law suit should be filed.
I ordered the online version of this advertisement. Cannot get into the information. They've charged my bank card several times fro info I have not received. What can be done? they're steadily scamming innocent consumers.
This company, Grant Research Guide, sells a program or CD for $2.95 giving the buyer access to all kinds of grant programs they supposedly would never be able to access by themselves. Well, don't be fooled by the low price and definitely don't pay it and expect to receive anything useful.
I got the CD in the mail, but not before my credit card company called to inform me that they suspected fraudulent activity on my card. At the time, I didn't associate the name of the company they claimed was responsible, Funding Resource, with Grant Research Guide. Otherwise I would not have bothered trying to login to the grant program when I received it, only to find that the username and password they had provided was not valid.
The program (if there is one; I could never access it) is useless without that information. Furthermore, this company will attempt to charge your credit card a monthly fee of $49.00 to access this program; something that is NEVER mentioned in any of their advertising or even during the sign-up process. Fortunately, my credit card company is on the ball and they caught this before I lost even more money. I know $2.95 isn't a lot, but it is a Rip Off if you get NOTHING for it and this is the case with this company. At the very least, Grant Research Guide is dishonest about their services.
If you've already signed up for this program, just make sure they don't get you for the additional $49.00 monthly or you'll be sorry you gave them your credit card information.
Paid the shipping for the CD and never heard from them again. The CD was impossible to understand or use. I was not able to contact them again after receiving the CD. No service at all and they were supposed to help me every step of the way to get a government grant.

they told me i only had to pay 2.95 for s/h and they're taking $49.50 out of my checking account that they never told me about, for the past 3 months they've been doing this and i cant get a hold of them because they dont answer my phone calls or e-mails please help me.
This is concerning a program of school grants which the original cost was $2.95. Well, then they charged my account $49.50 without notifiying me at all---And I want it back.
After being solicited a number of times, I thought I would take a chance and spend the $2.95 for the free disk. The $2.95 was for shipping. 5 days later they charged my account an additional $58.61 which was unauthorized by me. The disk has a menu system but offers no information when selecting any menu item, only a message to logon online but gioves no address to log onto. This is a scam that others have fallen prey to.
Maybe the FBI can help?

I want my money back.

I have paid monies for grant information I never received. I asked also to have my account canceled. Customer service was so willing to cancel as if they were used to the phone calls. Its criminal to charge my account $58.00 for charges I did not authorize. I was supposed to receive an information CD for information purposes only. The cost was $2.95 for shipping and handling. Never received it.This company is fraudulently operating and taking advantage of people. By the way, customer service informed me I would have to send an e-mail from the website to request a refund. The website contact screen does not work.
This company charged $49.50 a week after charging the initial $1.95 for access to its website through Funding Resource IS. We disputed the charge. A month later a charge for $49.50 was charged by Business Source IS [protected]. We called the [protected] number on a Monday at 10A and were on hold for an hour. We never did talk to a representative. We have not been able to contact the company by either e-mail or phone to cancel any service they are offering us. We did not enter into any contract of any kind with this company since no terms were ever stated on the website or in the confirming e-mail. I advise everyone to file a complaint with their Better Business Bureau.
We were looking for information regarding what grants are available and how to qualify for them. On 3/30/09 we saw this companies blog on the internet and thought this was just what we were looking for. After all it was only going to cost $2.95 for shipping and handling and we would receive an disk that will give us all the information we need to locate and apply for grants. They would only accept my debit card not my credit card, should have known something wasn't right. We received our bank statement and they did charge us $2.95 plus another 2 cent charge (unknown what this fee was for).
We received the disk on April 17th. The disk looked fine when you first look at it. But when you click on the available tabs only one opens up with information, the rest of them requests you to 'log in to the online resource center to access this content. Information to do this was e-mailed to you at the time you ordered your product'. Well, no e-mail was ever received. This disk did not give us any useful information at all. Since the contact tab also refered me to the online resource center, we did a internet search and found a reference to the [redacted] website. Now we got worried.
We contacted our bank and discovered that this company has charged us additional fees. On April 6th they withdrew $58.61 and a additional .47 cents from our account. We then contacted the companies phone number listed on our bank statement. They told us that we had ageed to this 'membership fee' in the email sent upon purchase of the product and you had 7 days to cancel or you will be charged a membership fee. (We hadn't even received the disk by the 7 day deadline). The email we never received. There was no mention of resending the email or giving us the website address, all they would say is you are not getting your money back.
So there goes $60 for nothing. We have cancelled the debit card that they have access to, so they can not charge us anymore fees.
I have tried to have a service fee disconnected numerous times and continue to experience the hardship of this company refusing to discontinue from my debit account. I have notified the bank only to learn that they will not stop the unauthorize monthly withdraw telling me that it has to be done by the company. I have called numerous times all numbers attach to this company only to find out that the numbers are not in service.
Please inform me as to how and who i am to speak with for reinbursement of the unauthorize fees they continue to take out of my account which is causing me diffulties.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely
Michael allison

I paid 2.97 for the grant guide. They did not send me a guide furthermore they did not tell me that after 7 days my account would be charged $76.21 monthly. I wanted to start my own business I have 4 children and I need that money. I called to get a refund and the person on the phone was very rude to me. These people have got to be stopped. What a scam.

I paid 2.95 for information that was supposed to be sent to me in the mail about grants from the federal government and they charged my account for $ 73.23 more than that. While the transaction was still pending at my bank, I called to get a stop payment on my account and they could not do it. These guys have got to be stopped. When I called the company they said that I was told of the monthly charge. So I asked them to verify that because they record all messages. This is going to be interesting. So are they gong to incrminate themselves?
