gutters
We had Guttermaxx gutters installed about eight years ago. Right from the beginning the tight corner above our door stoop leaked. They blamed it on fir needles building up on top of the gutter. But we noticed that it happened even when we cleaned off the top. They sent someone out once to fix this, but the leaking continued) This last fall, we had our house painted and they removed the downspouts to paint. When the painter did this, he found that the gutters were packed full and let me know. I called the phone number on their website and they said a local person would contact us about getting it fixed. No one called for three weeks so I called again. Same thing for four weeks. I called again and the representative transferred me to someone who didn't answer the phone so I left a message. He never called back. It's been another three weeks. As best I can tell they no longer have an office in our area.
Customer Service
I had the GutterMaxx system installed in Mar. 2010. The product is excellent but the customer service sucks. One of the helmets on the gutter is not seated properly. I have called and was promised someone would come by and correct it in June. I am still waiting and I have called more than once only to be told that some will be showing up. Still waiting!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The installation was ok a few years ago. I needed a service call (and I was willing to pay even though they brag about warranty) a year ago because the gutter was coming in the middle causing it to bend. The water was trapped in the middle of the gutter and water overflowing. Winter came and water froze causing more damage. Now its spring and I called again (this is the 6th time) asking for them to come out and I was willing to pay. I was transferred to another person (Jim) and was assured he was going to have someone call and schedule within 24 hours. Two more weeks passed by. I even asked to buy the gutter to replace the bent one and have my contractor install it. No phone call. They talk a good game but they do NOT STAND BY THIER PRODUCT. Website testimonials sounds great but lets be real - its all lies. Service is what makes a company. Products do not last forever unless there is some type of service or upgrade behind it.
We also had guttermaxx install their gutters and have been so unhappy. After the instalation we had nothing but problems. When it rained it rained between the facia board and their gutter. They refuse to do anything to about it but also they did admit to 2 problems they would fix. Installed in 2010 they have yet to fix it. Also we have since had a real carpenter come in and take the gutters down only to find the reason for the leakage was they installed the gutters over old rotted facia board! When we called the company they say they are going out of business!
Thousands of dollars later and leaks all over the place the lesson learned is hindsite
