RIP OFFs
By far the worst school I ever been to! They tell you everything you'd want to hear and when you actually enroll its a whole different story! Rules changed weekly if not DAILY, they promise you 1 thing and when its time to actually follow through they are not willing to provide! Thieves! Take your money and still try to extort money from you and will block you for non payment when you told them you cant afford the payments from the beginning. They never mentioned that financial aid will not cover everything and that you would still have an out of pocket payment..Also the female staff of IOT Roseville were extremely promiscuous! SO unprofessional...
Waste of Time and Money
I went to Institute of Technology 2 years ago, 07'. It is one of my worst decissions in life. I challenge anyone that has gone through their Web and Graphics program to say they had learned enough of anything (or new) to employ them. I think if "IOT" taught Auto shop, you would come out with full knowlege of how to read a dipstick.
I had a full mod, 6 WEEKS on Adobe Flash and no instuctor. There was a instructor that sat in till the school could find someone, by then mod was over. He had no knowlege of flash. He tought programing I think. He tried though I will give him credit. It would be the same if I had a friend over and we oened up a cook book in Russian, we would scratch our heads and have different theories on what the book was trying to say.
I think they tried to give the appearance of a school by adding grade school rules; no hats, no flip flops, could not chew gum, not allowed to use staff bathrooms.
After I graduated I asked if I could borrow Flash book for awhile and was told "no but welcome to come back and sit in on next Flash mod". Spend another 6 weeks, Monday -Thursday, four hours a night! I don't think so. My Dad always told me growing up, "fish or cut bait". Basically, are you catching anything or getting any bites or is your hook just floating there?
I don't know if it is possible for me to get refunded, but if you or any one you know is thinking about going to IOT (Clocis, CA), tell them, its a waste of time and $11, 000.00 They are better off working with someone in the business for a year unpaid.

Awful place
I am here to let people know that the Institute of Technology in Clovis, CA is by far the biggest rip off I have ever been through.
I took the Web and Graphics course and after being there for over a year which actually should have been 6 months, I did not learn one thing I didn't already know. Considering I had only been working with Web and Graphic for less than a year before attending the school.
I will have to say my instructor Denis Lewis was about as dumb as a box of rocks. Good artist but Plain brainless. And his number one focus in class is to try and push everyone to use Mac pc's. And when you turn a assignment in its never good enough and gives what he calls tips that make absolutely no since at all.
He also picks his favs in class and if your not one of them then don't expect any help from him. It took me going to the campus president to get him to actually help me which didn't last long.
He also doesn't keep up on his attendance sheet every day. There were times where he would say a student didn't show up for more than 3 or 4 days in a row and the class would have to argue the fact that the student was there which would end up getting the student in trouble.
When I signed up with the school I was promised an art kit which I got but also had to pay for. And not one time did the class use it, we do all of our work on computers I still to this day which its been over a year haven't touched one item in my kit. Waste of money.
I felt like was in elementary school all over again, No hats, No hoods, No unnecessary piercings, Cant chew gum, Natural hair color only, This is college people almost everyone there is 22 years of age and older, and the funny thing is the one thing they do allow and don't have a problem with is smoking and i cant tell you how many times i have walked out on the number of students smoking weed, but cant chew gum.
They promise you job placement while attending, and not one time did me or any of the students i affiliated with receive a call for any kind of position the whole time there. I lost my job because of that school often receiving threats of being terminated if i failed to show up on some of the mornings i had to work so i got fired. So i wouldn't get terminated from school and then when i would approach the higher people at the school they would call me a liar.
I couldn't tell you how many times i have been called and then hung up on when they call and get mad because i cant do what they ask right at that second. I remember there was one weekend i went to L.A. and came back monday night so i missed monday morning of school and they called to ask where i was and when i told them i was in L.A. they got angry and asked what i was doing in L.A., its none of there business what i am doing anywhere.
The school ended up screwing my life up more than helping it and out of a starting class of about 20 students i was finally the last one to drop out, and let me tell you students drop almost every week from that school.
I do want to note that there was one teacher there that i would have to say is the best teacher i have ever had in my life of being in school, her name is Denise Doyle and she is one of the very few teachers that care about there students other than the paycheck they get at the end of the week. She is what every school needs.
There are so many more bad things that go on at that school, and how the students are treated that this would probably be one of the longest reports on this site. So i end with this, do not attend or waste your time and money on Institute of Technology, you will regret every second.
