JM Attorneys Cant get these leeches off my back

I had an unpaid bill (a lousy R 1036-00) which also popped up years later, which I have paid in an attempt to get these people off my back, regardless of the fact that it was nearly 7 years later and that I still await any statement from Telkom of the amount owing.

I did not want to give them my personal details but only requested a bank account so that I could settle an account that was overlooked in my divorce proceedings. I was refused the detail till my personal information was divulged, great attorneys if they could not find it for themselves?

This was paid in January, every month since then I have received notifications that the amount is due for payment, when I call in the call centre people say the 'system' says its paid but strangely the 'system' still notifies me.

Please get someone to fix your 'system' and stop bugging me!

JM Attorneys JM Attorneys are busy with fraud

They phoned us after more than 10 years, saying that we owe Health & racquet money, they have the wrong details, and id number of the person they are looking for, now suddenly after 10 years they are looking for the 'outstanding' money. Now they keep sending us letters to say we need to fax an affidavit (which we already have) and now suddenly they want us to fax through our ids, and contracts, . They are suppoused to have these information but they keep asking us for us. We have been asking a few times now to see who signed the contract that they claim we signed, unfortanetly we were very much under aged, and there is no way that a contract will be legal if you are under 18 years old. They have been trying to rip people off, and it really needs to stop now. Its not a nice thing to. If they want to make money, they need to make it in a legal way, not try to con people, and threathing them. Can someone please put a stop to these people. i see that so many people are complaing about this, but why is nothing being done about it. I was given leagal advise, that this case is older than 3 years, and we shall not be held liable for this.

I have just received an sms from JM Attorniy's stating that I owe money to Health and Racquet it is now 2013 and they say I owe this money from 2000. this company has liquidated over 10 years ago what is up with this why are they allowed to do this, I have read many complaints about this company asking for money for Health and Racquet, why is nobody doing something about this, there is so much fraud and corruption in South Africa is there not an investigation group that can look into this type of thing that is going on.

I have been paying this company for a debt I used to have with a now defunct company (Sweetdreams).I have been trying to get them to send me statements so that I can see how much I must still pay, if at all. Been receiving mixed messages from their call centre, and no statements are being sent to me. I`m being harassed to keep on paying, that is all. Desperate for a legal advice around this matter.Thanx

I have the same experiance with these people, I have asked numerous times for statements to see how much I owe, but no one comes back to me. I have even got a letter stating that they will Default me for not paying the arranged amount, but the thing is my bank statements show that they have debited the amount, and guess what I still got a threatening letter, I wonder if this Reginald woks there because I think they are thieves I have not heard or had an email from that man. So don't feel alone there are many crooks in this country and you cannot stop them, they are like cockroaches just keeps on multiplying.

the company double billed me and they are taking for ever to refund my money back. i awed them R893 the deducted R393 extra over and above what they were suppose to now they are taking long to re pay me back. please kindly assist.

I have been receiving calls from JM attorneys for debt that was R230 in 2001 and now with 12 years interest I owe R2200.00. I told them I received the statement but I would like to investigate the matter further, they told me that if I don't make arrangements for payment they will take legal action against me. I am investigating further and hopefully I will get the proper assistance that I require ASAP! A warning to everyone out there do not give JM attorneys your details, that was something I was foolish about, I've been advised otherwise, please be careful what they are doing is unethical and not in line with SA law!

The same here, I have tried various times to call them and they are not answering or returning my calls, I have contacted Gert@jm.co.za and Allistair@jm.co.za and they have read my email in response and not replied.
What is funny is that there is so many people that will fall for this and will pay the amount back to "clear their name" from being blacklisted.
- So the company closed, and we wanted to gym and the doors was closed how to pay for a service if it is not available.
- Prescription Act! Here we go, they are attorneys and they are sending emails, sms that are illegal and placing a trace on your ID number, if they follow the Prescription Act accordingly they will not do this.
