Living In Comfort Stay away

My husband ordered the Perfect Chair for my birthday and the C/Card was immediately charged. After a week of calling and the phone ringing out, he finally got Joyce on the line and asked for confirmation email, which he got. After 3 weeks of nothing further, and about 4 days of he and I phoning constantly, Joyce eventually decided to answer the phone and told us the factort in California (we're in CT) was closed and would open 12 noon our time and she would call me 12:30pm that day. Needless to say, after me calling the rest of the afternoon and following morning, she then decided to answer the phone again and tell me the factory was closed right now and she could not get hold of anyone. This was now 4 weeks after the order was placed so I cancelled the order and - take note - got *written confirmation of the cancellation and that my c/card would be credited within 4-7 business days*. 10 business days later, I had spent 2 days trying to get someone to answer the phone to no avail. Then I got a call from Rapid Express telling me they had a chair to deliver - when would I be home? My order had never been cancelled despite written confirmation! By this time I was so happy to have the blasted chair I took delivery of it. Then I got a call from the factory themselves saying that "Joyce from Living in Comfort called them to say I was refusing delivery of the chair". I was sitting in the chair when I took the call! So I very politely told this lady at the factory to seriously consider dropping Living in Comfort from their client base to avoid soiling their reputation. The kicker? The factory had not been closed at any point. Way to go, Joyce. Great Customer Service. Use this company at your own peril.

Living In Comfort Horrible service

Horrible service, well actually no service. A vm msg saying to email website does not classify as customer service (this recording runs during their "normal business hours". They have yet to reply to any emails I have sent about the item that was ordered and yet to received. The two times that I was able to talk to someone they told me that my order was to be rec'd on x date. The day has come and gone. I will never purchase anything from them again. I wonder if they aren't just a big scam and I will never get the sofa that was purchased at all?

DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I ordered bunk beds with a trundle on Nov. 11. I placed the order with this company because they said they were "In Stock" and "Ship in 1-2 weeks". Within that time, I called and mad a slight change to the order, being told it would only change the ship date by 2 days. After that new ship day came and went I called and was told the manufacturer delayed the order and now it wouldn't ship until 12/11, with it arriving 12/18. I specifically placed this order in time to have the beds here and set-up for the holidays since I'm hosting my whole family and need the beds for my nieces that will be here. At this time, I'm disappointed but can still make it work. Now, today is 12/11, I tried calling and emailing the ALL DAY yesterday, just to MAKE SURE everything was still on schedule. NO ONE REPLIED TO ANYTHING. So, I started my day today with a phone call and someone answered, as they went to track my order I was "disconnected". When I tried to call back no one answered for about 20 tries! FINALLY, someone decided to pick-up and told me that my order had been further delayed, now it wasn't even going to SHIP until 12/18 and arrive AFTER Christmas. The company never once decided it would be a good idea and contact me to let me know about any of this. I AM LIVID! I cancelled my order with them and now all I can do is try to stop others from making the same mistake I did DO NOT SHOP HERE! Oh, and a=on top of all of that, they double charged my credit card for the initial order as well.

I believe it is the law that you can get refunded amount you paid for purchase used with credit card and if you did not receive what you purchased then you can get your money back. You definitely need to dispute any claim with your credit card company. Also best to use PayPal.

Update, I got my refund on Discover this week, after hearing from them on my ultimatium. So I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I don't tolerate no action, so I take action. Don't lie down and give up, contact this Montgomery Co. Consumer Affairs, they will help you.

I ordered a chair almost a month ago, suppose to be available, quite a charge, that by the way was charged in minutes of placing order, then got an e-mail from this company who originally told me they were factory for Catnapper in Tennessee. They have multiple websites and look at other Blog sites as well as this excellent one, nothing right here, but over and over story. You order on a so-called secure site, they acknowledge it and then nothing, never answer the phone, leave voice mails referring your order no, Paypal has transacted your monies to them, write them on their customer service e-mail, no response. One time I got a lady answering the phone, I guess they do it periodically to look official, she swore it is on it's way to your house by freight. These people say when they or if they get something, it is nothing, a box, a cheap example of. mattress, etc. here what I am doing, Discover has been called to investigate, do that first by way of how you paid. I hope you charged it, next go to Montgomery Co. Consumer protection, talk to investigator, they will send you a complaint form. Then, it will take weeks but these people have to respond with refund or something, or they just a building? They also trade under FRW Enterprises for collection of monies. Believe you me I will make this people wish they never did this to me personally. They had better find the recliner I ordered if they have to purchase one at a nearby furniture store, I have given thim until Tuesday of next week, and I will not accept while delivery person is there if not what I order, and remember take a picture of what you got.

We ordered six bar stools from this "scamming set up" 6 months ago...we received the bar stools but they were nothing like they were depicted on eBay. We called Living Comfort and "Jenny" told us that they would only agree to take them back if we agreed to ship them back at our expense...we were not really that thrilled to do that but what else could we do...so we agreed and were told we would be refunded within a couple of days of LC receiving them in good condition. After 4 weeks we had still not received a refund and so we started calling. When they even bothered to answer the phone we were told the same thing every time...their accounting department was very busy and we would be refunded asap. Now here we sit 7 months later and we have no stools and no refund...the reason we didn't go to Paypal, bill me later or eBay in the beginning was because Jenny seemed quite willing to have us return the stools at our expense and issue us a refund...by the time we realised that we were getting the run around and tried taking it up with eBay/bill me later and Paypal they told us that the window of time for us to lay a complaint and get it resolved was exceeded and they couldn't help. The last time I actually got to speak with Jenny at LC and I told her I was going to seek legal advice to get my money back she told me to "go right ahead". We have also come to realise that once they know your phone number they don't answer the call so we call from various different numbers and miraculously they pick up...BUT once they know that new number don't expect them to answer your call. I swear they have a list of numbers that they know not to answer when they see it on caller ID. I cannot warn people enough...DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!

Ordered a med lift chair from them on Aug 19 and got it on Sep 25 which was okay except they failed to update me at all until I filed a dispute with paypal which is the best way to buy online. Then things started to happen and I got the chair which is very good so my accolades go to med lift (the manufacturer) which is a wonderful company. After having spoken with some of their employees, I can recommend this company unequivocably. They were great. I don't know what to say about Living in Comfort...maybe their cash flow isn't so good.

This is a horrible company- please please do not use them- there is no customer service what so ever. "Jenny" left the conversation without saying anything once i started asking questions. I was charged on the same day as the purchase and they still have not shipped anything one month later. We ordered a piece of furniture from them thinking that over a months time to recieve it was more than adequate. It was ordered for a childs birthday gift. Found out today that "no way it will reach you on time" and then the conversation ended. Seriously- buyer beware... dont use this site!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY (if you can even call it a company) I ordered a couch 3months ago I have been charged $$$$ but have not received any information about when I can expect to receive it. I have sent 10 emails, countless phone calls and 14 voicemail messages! I have never been able to get any kind of response! This company is a total scam! I can't even get them to make a promise that anything will ever come, not that I would believe him anyway! Worst service ever!

I am having the same problem having ordered furniture 2 months ago and have yet to recieve it. I do get emails back from them is I email them directly and not go through their website. But I just keep getting promise after promise that I will have my order soon. I'm about to give up.
