My daughter has been the victim of a scam company, named above. She has had money taken from her bank supposedly as admin charges. She has tried ringing this company but cannot get through to them. She has 3 young children and cannot afford for a so called company to be allowed to just take money from her bank. Could her bank be held liable for letting thi...

Magic loans refusing to reply to messages left with them re-refund

I was forwarded to this company who found companies with low intrest rates for a personal loan, i was asked to pay £69 up front to them and this would only be used for admin charges and would be refinded whether the loan was approved or not. I have left many messages on the answer machine for them to contact me leaving my reference number and advisors name, despite being asured on their recorded message someone will reply within 2 hours no one has ever got back to me, i tried to e-mail them but the e-mails are rejected. when you go to their web page it says its being up-dated please come back soon.

I applied for a loan online for my wedding but I was declined. I never thought much else of it until last week when I realised my bank account was £68.99 short. I had emailed magic fianance to ask why money had been taken from me without my knowledge, I received an email saying they were sorry that I wanted to terminate my membership and that I had to call them to do so. I tried calling them 3 times that same day with no answer. I have sent several emails since then demanding that they contact me to refund my money but still nothing. I'm not sure what else I can do :(

I normally wouldnt bother writing a review for companies. But after dealing with these people, I feel I must, so you guys wont bother with this company. This is a bit long, but trust me, it is worth the read

I applied for a £5, 000 loan through a website, which sent it to multiple companies trying to get me to go through them. Magic finance was one of them.

They contacted me and I went through an application, the guy that I spoke with said "Ive got great news! You've been accepted for your loan!" This put me off straight away, as I didnt even give him all my details, I told him I lived at my current address for a year, but he never asked for my previous address. When I informed him of this, he says "Oh...well can i have your previous address", and then says again "congratulations youve been approved", he then started to ask me for my debit card details to take a £69 admin fee. He was quite pushy and wouldnt answer my questions about the loan, so I made an excuse that I didnt have my card with me at the time and I would call back. After I got off the phone with him, i did a google search and read every ones story with them. So I decided I wouldnt bother,

well a few days later, i had a missed call from them, I called back to say dont call me again, the guy asked why i wasnt intrested, and i told him I read about how they do business and in my opinion its a scam. he asks me "oh let me guess, u read it on the internet" then hung up on me. I called back to again get my details removed, but this time another guy informs me that my application has already gone through and my card has been debited for the £69, when I inquired how he got ahold of my card details, since i never gave it to him, I was put on hold and passed around about 3 times. Finally a woman comes on the phone and says they have my card details and it has been processed, I again tell her i never gave any such information, so she says "do you have your card with you now?" and actually wanted me to GIVE HER my card details, to see if it "matched up" to what she had. I told her I wouldnt give her anything and if she does have my details and if the money has been taken out, I would be going to the police. she puts me on hold again, then comes back to say "Oh i looked at the banking information we have here, and your name wasnt on the list of payments, so we didnt take any payment and we dont have your details"

but to be on the safe side, i went to my bank anyway and cancelled my card.

DO NOT go through these people!

I was contacted by Magic Loans as I needed to borrow £1000, I was told that I would need to pay an admin fee of £29.00 which would be fully refunded once I had filled in the forms which were sent out to me a few days later, however when the forms had been returned to Magi Loans and I had waited a week or so for the money to be paid into my account, I was shocked to discover that £49.99 had been taken out of my account by Enhance Financial, I called EF to say too much money had been debited and they were very sly about this and said I needed to speak to Magic Loans customer servive operators, when I tried to get in touch with them, it was like trying to find a man in space, but I eventually did get through to them and they argued with me that it was the correct fee, but I was never informed that in the first place as their sales man quoted me£29.00 admin fee and had found a loan for me with total repayable £1111.04 over the 12 mth period, I explained that I would never have agreed to the loan with this admin fee.I was told it would be sorted out and waited another few days, had heard nothing so after several calls to various numbers I spoke to customer service operators again and was informed that I had cancelled the loan, this was not the case, I had asked that they refund me the overpayment of £20.99 and then when the loan was approved I expected the other admin fee to be returned to my bank account.I did receive a call from a female operator to say she would sort this mess out and she said she would call me back within an hour, which as it turned was true, but she told me she had found a loan for me which required a brokerage fee of £150 and then interest on the £1000 loan would be around £250-£300, so totalling £1400-£1500, this was not the figure that I had agreed to earlier.I called this female back after speaking to the loan company they had put me in touch with and explained that I could not afford a loan with this much interest on and this was not the figure I had been quoted on the telephone. After more phone calls I was told that a form would be sent out to me by 1st class post and when I had returned it to magic loans I would get my money back and they would end it there, however 4 days later I was still waiting for my 1st class post letter from them.I was furious so called Enhance Financial, only to be told that I had come through to the wrong number, but this was the company that very swiftly took my money from my account, they gave me an 0800 number to call, which I had tried to contact previously, of course I got the same message that their mailbox was full.Thoroughly fed up I called EF again to be told by a very rude male that it was not their problem and if I had cancelled the loan I had lost my money, which of course I hadn't, and I told him this, I then asked to speak to his manager, but of course there was no manager available. NEVER DEAL WITH MAGIC LOANS/ENHANCED FINANCIAL THEY ARE A COMPLETE SCAM AND NEVER PAY ANY MONEY TO A LOAN COMPANY TO ACTUALLY GET A LOAN THIS IS NEVER NEEDED.I have been conned out of my money and am in an even worse situation than I was before I applied for this loan but in my desperation, I jumped at the chance to be given this loan and even though I smelt a rat at the time I still agreed to £29.00 being taken out of my account, I feel an absolute fool and even if this stops one person from applying to these con artists I feel I will have acheived a small victory. Also I am not going to stop pursuing Magic Loans/Enhanced Financial, I will make them pay me back as, well really, it is theft

Yes I have had dealings with these people, numerous e-mails, telephone calls, did manage to get through and they told me had to write in, have done that, now they say they have not read their mail due to christmas etc, and will get back to me, they have misled me, but apparently they even if you write in which you have to do within 14 days say they have not received the letter so it goes over the 14 days, also you get loan offersw but for lots less than asked for, my brother works for CAB and has told me to harass them continuously with phone calls and e-mails, and also letters, and also contact the FSA and consumer credit people.
