Phishing Scam
Watch OUT NOT APPLE -Company claiming to be Apple support, shows up in search engine and takes your apple product serial number and says it can fix the problem for $90.00 (Mytechhelp.com). Takes credit card and phone number then transfers to tech rep (Heavy Indian accent) puts you on hold for 45 + minutes until you hang up. After hanging up we sent an e-mail to website Saying do not charge my card. Card charged for $98.80 under a different name (A to Z service). Called CC company they credited my account. This is a Phishing scam.
scam selling repair programs
I purchased a new HP desktop computer at Best Buys 2/17/2013, I set it up on 2/19/13 and it could not recognize internet. I called HP and they transfered me to MyTechHelp.com ( which I did not know they did. I thought I was talking to a HP repairman.) He tried a few things then determined that the new computer I had purchased had software errors and he could fix them over the phone for a onetime charge of 99.99. I told hom that was crazy, it was brnad new and why did I have to pay to fix it? He got very rude and talked to me like a child and said that was only was to fix problem. I have only purchased one other computer in my life and had no idea that this was a scam. I purchased the program and he tried to repair it. after another couple hours on phone he determined ineeded a recovery program and switched me to another man who then informed me I had to purchase the Recovery system program for 59.99 in order to fix problem. By now it is almost 9 pm and I had been on phone with these people since 6pm! I was so frustrated and tired and still didn't understand why I had to purchase two programs to fix my "new"computer! The man could not find out how to fix problem and asked to call me back. At 11pm he called back and I was in bed almost asleep and told him I would have to call back at another day. I returned computer to Best Buys and informed them of the two programs I was forced to purchase from MYTechHelp.com. They told me to call them and get money back. When I called company they informed me that I could not get a refund and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told there were none available. I asked to have a supervisor call me back and was told that they would not call me back "they don't do that". Please submit my complaint about this fraudulant company. Thank you.
Charged, Didnt Fix and Charged Again
I went to MyTechHelp.com to help resolve a probelm on my Mac laptop in Nov.. They charged me $79.99 to resolve my probelm BY WHICH THEY DID NOT and on Feb. 13 They CHARGED ME AGAIN Claiming that I sign up for some kind of Quarterly tech support thing, when in fact I did not and paid only for one service in which THEY DID NOT FIX MY PROBELM. I eventually got...

They pretended to be Apple and told me my warranty was up, after spending $79.99 to fix the problem, they couldn't fix it, and told me I could take my confirmation number into an Apple store and they could look up what has been tried and continue with the repairs. When I went into the apple store I found out my warranty still covered me for 140 days as well as that was not Apple I spoke to. I called and they claimed they'd refund me $29.99 which they never did... I've filed with the BBB but I want to do anything and everything I can to run this company out of business. Their ethics are HORRIBLE! I will do everything in my power to put them out of business, I will write as many reviews as it takes, I will contact as many lawyers as it takes, this company needs to be stopped. They're be-smerching apples good name, thankfully Apple went above and beyond to fix their fraud, SO PEOPLE PLEASE PLEASE GO INTO THE APPLE STORES IF YOU HAVE ISSUES! APPLE IS AMAZING! MyTechHelp.com needs to be shut down or burned to the ground, which I'm sure the more people the rip off the more likely it'll happen.
I found out about this company on google. I called the phone number provided on the website. I talked to a lady on the phone, I told her what I wanted done. I told her my child owns an iphone 5, and I want to go through his deleted safari browsing history, to make sure he hasnt been going on things he shouldnt be. The lady that works for this company, told me that she is 100% sure that SHE CAN go back and look at old safari history, EVEN if it has been deleted. I asked her if she was sure, she told me that she is 100% sure that she can get the old deleted safari links, I asked her how? She told me that all phones store information, and its not easy to erase things permanently! I took her word for it, and said okay lets go on with the procedure. I really want to make sure my children are safe, so I was willing to pay the $100.00 . She told me she needs my credit card number, and she will transfer me to the "tech" I said okay! So I gave her my credit card number, she charged me the $100.00 and then I am waiting for the tech, the tech finally answers and asks me how can he help me. I told him I want my deleted browsing records for safari, and the "tech" said he could NOT help me. He said he cannot do this for iphones, only for the computers. But the lady that charged me, said that IT COULD be done. BUT the tech told me that it couldnt be done. So they said, sorry we cant help, and I asked for a refund, and they said they will transfer me to the billing department. I was on hold for about 15 minutes, and I finally heard a click on the other end, they hung up on me! I was really upset, because I felt cheated. So then I decided to call them back, I told the new person everything that happen, and they told me that the billing department was closed, and to call back tomorrow between 9-5, they also wanted to know why I wanted a refund. I told them why I wanted a refund, I told them that I wanted a refund because, I asked them to look up something for me, and they completely lied to me, they said they could do something, and they didnt do ANYTHING. So why should I pay $100.00 for them to tell me, they cant do anything for me? The guy then tried to transfer me to someone else, and then I talked to a lady, and she told me that she can't give me a full refund, but she could give me a partial refund. I was extremely upset, how can she charge me 100.00 but she cant refund me 100.00?
I feel like this company is a scam! They tell you they will do something, and they charge your card, and they say they cant do it! They lie and take your money, and wont even give you a complete refund! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I called and was told that my computer was infected. I was told that they were affiliated with Apple when I asked and that they would solve the problem if I paid them the 199.99. Turns out nothing was broken or needed fixing on my computer . I called back repeatedly and asked for a manager, for billing department, etc...and I got placed on hold but NO ONE would talk to me. I have informed my bank that it is a fraudulent charge and they are NOT to pay them.
Beware of this website, which I landed on via google, thinking I was calling Apple customer care!
I have a macbook that totally crashed on me, and when I called, the smooth-talking agent asked if I had been online over the weekend, and when I responded yes, he said that java script had been hacked, and 5600 people had already called today with crashed macbooks. He told me they could fix it remotely with all of my files restored (yes, I'm gullible), but that could cost $320...however, for "just $250", they could provide free tech service to resolve my problem, AND it would cover all of the Apple products in our home for 2 years. Sounded like a deal to ME!
After paying, they transferred me to their help desk - and guess what? After 1 hour of trying the same things over and over, they couldn't give me any advice (aside from what I'd already found online) on how to power up my macbook - and advised me that for sure my battery was dead, but I could (of course) purchase a new one. Funny, since my battery worked perfectly in my husband's macbook...
We finally just called an Apple store 90 minutes away, and are taking it in for diagnosis - which is my first-step recommendation to EVERYONE. When we called mytechhelp.com one hour later to cancel our $250 "warranty" because 1) I was led to believe I was talking to Apple, and 2) their tech person totally mis-advised me, they initially refused to cancel. Then, they said they would cancel, but only for an $85 service fee. Only through increasing threats did they finally call in a supervisor, relent, and issue a full refund back to our debit card.
If you have a computer problem, stay away from these people - and instead, go directly to your machine's manufacturer or a reputable local repair shop.
on 1/12/12, my husband refused to sign up for mytechhelp.com subscription beyond the free trial period. 1/19/2017, Jim #17856, offered a $50.00 hotel.com voucher and $25.00 restaruant.com voucher if I agreed to sign up for one year's subscription. I refused, and wanted to cancel my free trial period. Jim insisted I had nothing to lose, since I'd recoup the cost in the vouchers. I advised him I am not interested in restaurant.com. Jim pushed, saying he'd reduce the annual subscription to 49.00 and give me both the hotel.com voucher for 50.00 and restaurant.com 25.00 voucher. Assured I'd get the vouchers right away with my email subscription notice, I agreed. When I did not receive it, I called back immediately on 1/19/12. I demanded a refund. I was assured it was on it's way, and would only take an hour b/c the system was down. I requested a refund. I've called four additional times. On 2/2/12, Ashley informed me she'd personally call me again to confirm I'd recieved the vouchers. On 2/3/12, I was told they could only mail the vouchers. I demanded a refund of my subscription.
Awful service! Long waits on hold! And I did not even get any help and tried to cancel the service and was not able to do so. They supposedly sent me a 'restaurant' card but I never saw it! One man yelled at me! Terrible ! Totally fraudulent
I purchased colored ink cateridge for my Hp printer from 20- Dundas east. When I opened the pack it was just one bottle while I needed set of two, I contacted the seller and first they refuse to take it back and refund my money back but finally they were willing to pay half amount back. I told them to bring them in court for selling fake products and lack of knowledge about the products they selling. Every one should aware of substandard products selling form the store they have a poit for phot making phot copying fax and ineternet cafe.
me too! they are the worst! DO NOT TRUST THEM! Mytechhelp.com is a total scam!
The same thing happened to me - horrible people. I hate scammers. It makes me feel soooo stupid!
On top of everything that was stated they have the rudest customer service skills. I just spent a couple hours of my day trying to contact them about double charges on my credit card that I never even authorized to begin with. After waiting for a customer service "specialist", my call would get disconnected (it happened about four times).
I was never billed for any services or signed up for automatic payments. I had not checked my statements in a couple months, but when I looked at my statements it showed I was being charged $9.99 twice for the last couple of months, sometimes two times a month.
MyTechHelp has helped with countless issues for myself and my friends, they are a very helpful and useful company. They can clear viruses and speed up your computer. I think the only complaints should be with fraudulent sales people who are breaking their companies rules.

Somehow they got me too. On 4/18/, 4/19, 2013, it took me 6 (six) calls, and an hours time to speak with a supervisor. They were "at a meeting" or I was placed of hold forever, or if I requested no hold, the phone line was abandoned. Of six agents spoken to, I could not get a single one to cancel my "supposed subscription" which I was unaware I even had until I noticed a with drawl from my bank. One agent, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, laughingly began to say, "what's that? I can't hear you, your breaking up. Hello? Hello?
