Magazine Subscription Offer
Deceptive mail offer claiming "notice of renewal/new order" as if from the magazine company asking for a renewal. In fine print it says "not a bill."

Magazine subscription scam
I have been getting mailing from this group for years, titled "Notice of Renewal" and showing a magazine I do subscribe to and presenting me with the amount due, who to make the check payable to and where to send the check. In small print elsewhere on the mailing it is said: "This is a magazine subscription offer, not a bill or invoice". Only once did I bite and send a check to renew an existing subscription, but nothing happened. The real publisher later sent me a true bill. This is clearly a scam and I am amazed it has gone on so long.

I am constantly receiving magazine renewal notices from Orbital for Bs Barbara Walin at the above address.
She passed away over a year ago. I notified Orbital that she had passed and aasked them to stop sending renewal notices.
I am still receiving them. I would appreciate it if they would stop.

I get mailings from this group about once a week and can't get them to stop. I am on the "do not mail" list and they should not be sending me these offers.
THERE HAS TO BE SOME WAY TO PUT A STOP TO THIS DAMN SCAM FROM THESE BOTTOM FEEDERS.
IF I EVER GET ANOTHER "INVOICE" FROM I WILL TAKE IT TO THE POST OFFICE AND SEE IF THEY CAN PUT THE POSTAL INSPECTORS ON THEM FOR SENDING THE SCAM THROUGH THE MAIL.
My wife sends in a check for 50% of a 3 year subscription, 3 months later no magazine but we get another invoice due in 30 days for the balance so I call to see where my magazine is. Well, after the final payment is received they will start to process the order and that takes 6-12 weeks. So they get deposit August 4th, balance is due December 6th add 12 weeks and we are at March 1st or so. August-0March to process this order that's 7 months if you do the math. By that time most people will have forgotten. Kind of pissed off right now.
I've been getting the "INVOICES" for a few years. I've emailed the bottom feeding ### to get them to stop a couple of times. Got no answer and still get the crap !
I've told the ### that I get my magazines direct, but they don't seem to care.
I too got an "invoice" for a magazine thinking I owed it. I of course paid it and have since demanded my money back. I also return all their mail - tons each day with "refused return to sender" yet they havent gotten the hint.
Scam Hater # 3
I, also receive invoices from MAGAZINE BILLING NETWORK to magazines I subscribe to and yes I fell for the rip off. The check was endorsed orbital Publishing Group. I feel like an idiot! I hope the saying of What goes around comes around. How long before they can be stopped?

I, too, receive bogus mailings from Orbital Publishing Group, Inc. that appear to be magazine subscription renewals. Initially they were magazines that I really subscribed to but more recently they attempted to get me to brainlessly "renew" my subscription to a "Western Horseman"! Boy did they miss the mark! I don't do horses! Idiots. Can't believe they get away with this kind of BS. Seems like an up and coming attorney would go after them.

I have been receiving the same invoice for a magazine I already subscribe to disguised as coming from the publisher but not really. I haven't been enticed to send a check in to them because the real publisher has sent out numerous warnings of just such a scam. I don't know how this scam can be stopped but I just throw away the invoice from Orbital. I figure that if my subscription is really in jeapordy of being cancelled, I can always re-subscribe. No big deal. End of case.

Make her day and request you be removed from their mailing list.
Nevada, Ohio, and the Postal Inspector all claim what they are doing is deceptive but just within the law.
They cashed my 91 year old mother's check for $87.50 paid an installment it is now 20 November when I called they said you only paid an installment you don't get the magazine until you pay the balance of $87.50. I demanded a refund from a supervisor Eric - ID 808 that said a check for refund would be sent in 3 to 4 weeks. It is a scam!
I get at least one of these a month. I was actually dumb enough to fall for it once since the "renewal" price matched that of the inserts in the magazine. Of course I'm ashamed of myself, but hopefully this will keep anyone else from sending them money; especially considering they're now asking for over $50 for the "renewal." If you keep getting these, I'd suggest calling your state's attorney general. Calling the FTC is pointless unless you want to complain about a wardrobe malfunction on TV.
This is some sort of fraudulant scam. I have rec'd these for years, unsolicited for a particular mag. I called the mag directly and they said they never do business with them. They constantly change their address. I have called the FTC on them and typical of the government they have done nothing. The only hope anyone would have of shutting them down is to get the word out.

After nearly 3 months, I received yet ANOTHER offer in the mail. I clearly remember emailing them last time at the address provided stating that I wanted to be removed from the list. In hindsight, that was a bad decision--now they have my email address.
I tried calling the customer service number this time around but they're apparently closed. I have doubts to whether any customer service exists for this group. I'll find out tomorrow...

Just got one of these in the mail and thought it was strange. Indeed, as the previous commenter said, the red fine print at the bottom of the invoice says "Please keep this portion for your receipt if responding to offer - not a bill". I hope they won't send me any more of these. Will try to contact them through the email listed.
