Peirano and Associates Crooked Lawyer

This guy Chris Pierano is a classic crooked lawyer the kind almost everyone one you have known has warned you about. I gave him almost 5 thousand dollars as a retainer for a job, a few days after I paid him the retainer ( Before any work is done) I found out I didnt need his service and requested my retainer back, at which point Chris Pierano tells me there is no remaining retainer and that he spent alot of time on this, I was shocked by his dishonesty and asked him what he did exactly, he claimed he would send me the billing report, which I have never received, I called his office over 100 times he never answers his call, never available when I go into his run down strip mall office location either . Watch out for this guy he basically takes advantage of people when they are in difficult situations kinda like a predator

Peirano and Associates Scam

This lawyer stated that they will work on my loan modification since July of 2009 and that it will take three months to happen. It has been almost 10 (ten) months and nothing has happened ever since. The sad part is I paid $3000 upfront and now the office is not taking calls, or the machine taking messages. They simply ran away. I'm going after his license and anything that can keep him in business, because if he ripped me off, then he can rip off someone else and I don't want that to happen.

I'm a attorney. I previously offered loan modification services. In October of 2009, the law changed such that attorneys were no longer able to charge up front for loan mod services. This, of course, made offering loan mod services non-lucrative. At first, I was upset at the passage of the new law and the State Bar's failure to step up to the plate for attorneys (they supported the passage of the law). A year and some months later, I have come to realize that the passage of that law was a blessing in disguise for our firm. Our firm has always complied with all laws. I filed lawsuits against 6 or 7 loan mod scam shops, including "law firms" for their illegal practices.

Anyway, my point as it pertains to your comment is that the loan mod process is a super long, ridiculous process. It is the most unreal, unethical, unaccountable process you'll (hopefully) ever experience. The 3-month trial plans are NEVER 3 months; they are typically 6-9-12 months, or more. I've had clients go through several sets of "3 month" trials. The banks have virtually ZERO accountability. They require "updated financials" virtually every month. Your attorney probably doesn't have the time to take all your calls. I had clients call me every single day: "Hows my loan mod coming? [panic, panic, panic, etc]." After a while, you just want to tell people "shut the ___ up, leave me alone, I'm working on it, and if you don't trust me, here are st_pid $2, 000. You do it."

I don't know Mr. Peirano. Maybe he scammed you; maybe he didn't. Based on what you said, I have no reason to believe he scammed you. It's probably not good customer service to relegate clients to an answer machine; but that doesn't mean he scammed you. Call your lender and ask if there has been any activity on your file.

Not sure if you calling the right number or not. My faxes go through fax number [protected]. They don't have a receptionist but leave a message they check it several times during the day. You are not the only ship in the water. We are all at the mercy of the banks. I don't have time to do what the attorney is doing. I know it took a long time but I got my modificaton on the first mortgage, took a year to get it. Now they are working on my second mortgage. The girls have always done well by me. You need to vent your frustration on the banks. If you call them, leave a message, period. I would get upset because they kept asking me for updated stuff but then I went in the office and they showed me all the faxes and emails and calls they placed to the lender. INSANE I COULD NEVER SIT THERE 8 HOURS A DAY DOING THAT! So it shut me up and made relize what was going on over there. The banks are Ruthless and its time you you relized that.

Same thing here, we are in month 13, still not final! Can't even fax them now and only messages on the office phone. Cant talk to anyone there! We are dealing directly with the bank now, but even they are sending us new applications when we should be in the final stages. So confused and out of time & money...
