I’ve been attempting to use the PennyTalk calling card for calls to the UK for over a month, but to no avail. Despite numerous calls to customer service, each ticket opened was supposedly resolved, yet the card remained non-functional. Requests to speak with a supervisor resulted in dropped calls and no callbacks. The inconsistency in information provided...

Pennytalk Cheated of my minutes ! Scam

I bought a calling card to call my sister in Malaysia. I made several attempts to call her landline but could not get through. There was no ringtone and then my calls get disconnected. I then decided to contact her via her cell phone. Before the call was put through, the computer said that I had 90 minutes. However there was one ringtone and the call was cut off. When I tried her cellphone again, the minutes went from 90 to 76 minutes available.

Pennytalk - explain to me if this is not a SCAM !

I had $10 left on my card, and everything is okay. My minutes are running low so I reload the card with $50. They tell me there was an error with my card and the charge didn't go through. So I run it again, and they it still doesn't work. Well later I'm looking and $100 has been charged to my account! When I get in touch with them, they say they have issues with some debit cards sometimes...unbelievable.

Pennytalk They can't explain why my balance is zero!

They are thieves!

I opened an account last year and I knew I had at least $10 back in the card, taking into consideration that they charge 99 cents per month.
So I called customer service and they say that the system does not provide records of phone calls placed more than 14 months ago and therefore they cannot provide an explanation to why my balance is zero!
They apologized but said that no money can be refunded to the account.

Thieves!

Pennytalk Unauthorized Charges

I just noticed that the company Pennytalk has charged my bank account a $25.00 fee. I have never been a customer or ever even looked at this company or their products. I appears from the other complaints listed that they are just starting to scam people by charging their accounts.

The fact that our government allow these companies to do this without prosecution or reprecussions is ridiculous. It is easier for scam artist to put charges to my account than it is for me to use my account. I must answer security questions and supply security code information and apparently they just buy a list of names and account numbers from some computer hacker and type in the information.

Yet, we are constantly being charged taxes and surcharges by the government and utilities companies to supplement their infrastructures. As usual, the less educated and ederly are the big losers in these scams. My grandparents have been forced to close all checking accounts 4 times due to this sort of scaming, but still the banks let them process these bogus charges.

Banks are supposed to be working for us, but we appear to be the ones doing all the work; checking accounts all the time, going to their office to sign dispute forms, closing accounts, reissueing new cards and this is all caused by web based companies, not by local firms or largee chains.

Penny Talk has hidden charges that are hidden in their website when you sign up. It is a scam company and the only way to stop them from charging your debit card is to cancel the card...
DON"T agree to use this company... They are CROOKS...

PennyTalk doesn't charge your account unless someone approve it. Ask someone who has access to the account, anyone can recharge the card from the phone register to use the card. I have been using the card for almost 5 years and have never have an issue.
