Being ripped off again
I paid for my points for 10 years. Over $10, 000 dollars plus the maintance fees extra. It was finally paid off last year. I dealt with the high maintenance fee and tranfers of companies. When I signed up with the points the fixed week I did own was explained to me would be going back to peppertree for my points. Now this past summer they come up with trying to get me to take the adventure club. Nothing to benefit me, just more out of the pocket and same maintenance fees. My choices were to stay where I was with higher fees each year or go back to fixed week I gave up. My fixed week? I gave that up 10 years ago! Not, they said I was tied to it and if I wanted lower fees would have to give up my points and go back to my fixed week I gave up. What about all the money I paid in? I don't get nothing for that! They would give me a second fixed week in March with another maintenance fee. I said no to that. They are now sending me new contracts for that fixed week, I gave up 10 years ago. Why am I signing new contracts to except that week back if I own it anyway? By the way, they want me to pay a reversion fee $135.00, a maintenance fee $1200.00 and there assessment mess up this year of $321.00. When you do a yearly budget and you go over that budget, the company usually eats that cost. It's very poor management on there part to pass this cost onto us. It should come from there pockets and raises. To beat all things, in the fine print by signing this contract, you void any legal action againist THEM! I now have a lawyer checking into this. I would like any information that would be helpfull or what you have already done with maybe the same situations. Billy Earnest if you read this please send me a personal email, Thanks

Unhappy Peppertree/Equivest/Festiva Timeshare Owner
If you are unhappy with a timeshare membership that you own, you are not alone! I am one, also. I originally bought a package thru Peppertree, which eventually changed ownership several times…Peppertree to Equivest to Fairfield to Festiva. There are a growing number of us unhappy owners…our complaints are to many to list here, but include: ever-rising...

Sorry, I have not replied to your contact request. I am active duty military and have been deployed. I have not had the opportunity to respond to anything in the last several months. I now have time to get to the bottom of the "assements", the conversions to Festiva and how the maintenence fess differ. I can be reached at [protected]. I would like to come to some type of resolution, however, I am prepared to join with the many across the southeast in the lawsuits against Festiva. I have alot of vauable data that backs up my original contract with Equivest and what Festiva is trying to do. what I want is quite simple, convert me to Festiva or pay me off for my ownership. I, like others, have paid for my membership in full. The last two years, I have been heavily discriminated against by Festiva because I am a PVTC member. I am preparing a document for the NC Attorney Generals office that should assist all PVTC members. I have gone through the Trust agreements with Equivest and Festiva rules. Festiva is in direct violation of certain rules and guidelines.
Mr. Polston & Mr. Watkins;
If you would like for me to have someone contact you to discuss your issues, please send me a direct message with the best way to get in touch with you. We certainly wish to resolve any issues that you may have.
I too have been a log timeshare owner with PVTC. My wife and I bought it about 15 years ago, we paid around $22, 000 and our Timeshare was points based. With PVTC we had very few issues. With Equivest, very few issues. Then Festiva wanted us to "merge" for a fee of course. We paid the fee and merged. for the next 6-8 months we could not get a vacation booked or get anyone on the phone that could give us an answer. We worte to upper management and the to the stae attorney generals office. Festiva (after about a year) switched us back to PVTC. Everything was fine for about a year. Now I have noticed that we cannot book rooms or villas that are oceanfront because they have limited the PVTC owners or you get whatever is left over when booking with your points. Also, this special assessment, , , , , because we would not pay the $1100 to merge (again) with Festiva. Now the miantenance fee is $1277.60? If PVTC members are losing money for Festiva, why does Festiva no merge us in automatically, with no fee? When one buys a home, it is usually "as-is". I do not understand the extra fees. why will they not simply pay me off with about $30, 000 to cover my initial fees and time within the PVTC program? It appears that Festiva is poorly ran and is trying to make PVTC members a scapegoat for their troubles. All I want is to be treated the same as Festiva members (after all PVTC members had bought into the deeded properties way before Festiva came along) OR I want to be bought out by Festiva for what I have in the overall program. I am not interested in paying the current "upgraded" fees and will be sending this information to a lawyer and back to the state attorney generals office.
