No contact after payment
Oh same here with Sierra Club Rental and Resales. Pay to have my weeks turned into cash. Class -action lawsuit seems in order. Heck RCI members did it and seems to ready to settle.
You buy a timeshare, scammed the whole way then no recourse to get out of the deal. The verbal promises alone and fraudulent claims should be a red flag to the government and put a stop to type of contract structuring.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Possible new scam
I'm OVERLY concerned because I don't want to get "Suckered" in again. Out of the blue I was contacted by "Edward Peters" via Sierra Club. Mind you this was part of our Velas Vallata (Mexico time-share) purchase, resale/rental program. My question is this: Why, if I'm the "seller" am I required to pay $995.00 for transfer papers-title search-ect. TRUST ME...

Thanks for the heads-up! This company is somehow related with the Royal Elite Timeshare Resorts in Mexico, which are known for using misleading tactics to sell timeshares. I went to a sales pitch there, they were very nice until we say NO! then we were trated very badly, i would never go there again. We are not the only ones, you should check out this other forum from Mexican Timeshare Solutions with more complaints made to these companies:

Maybe it's time to contact the Attorney General in Nevada.
Any suits? Keep me informed as I too was scammed. I guess what they say is true, "If it sounds too good to be true, then it must be".
I too have a 2 bedroom from Sandos Caracol in the Mayan Riviera they were wanting to buy - apparently they wanted all timeshare for a corporate purchase of all weeks for the year. I was told I had a to pay a new "capital gains tax" at the end and then I was supposed to receive my money. Of course, it never came and now the email address I was corresponding with is no longer valid, nor is the phone number.
Do you have any idea how we would go about a class action lawsuit? Seems the number of victims are increasing everyday - I have been contacted 5 times by different people - any ideas?
